《The Pig and the Frog》ONE

Tris is moving back to Chicago, she has lived in California since that day she left Tobias. She's 16 now. She changed her name, back there, and she's hoping it stays that way.

I'm moving back today. I never thought this day would come. Ever. Maybe my mom and dad finally answered my pleading.

Maybe I'll see Tobias! I haven't seen him in 10 years. 10 years! My name is not Beatrice anymore. I changed it when I moved to this dreaded state. It's terrible here.

I have an accent. So people make fun of me for that. I have blonde hair. So I'm a stereotypical dumb blonde. But I have a gpa Of 4.2.

I'm a sophomore. He is one too. I hope he still goes to that school. Because that's where I'm heading. And he's the only reason why I have been wanting to move back.

Maybe if I wasn't alone in the park, swinging by myself, I wouldn't have met him. When I first saw those sky blue eyes, my belly was filled with butterflies.

Did I have a crush on him? I probably did. I mean, I have countless thoughts of him. And I don't even know what he looks like. He was quite scrawny the last time I saw him. So was I. When I moved here, I decided to do gymnastics, so I can become really strong!

Where are my thoughts going this morning?! To him. Is that it? I haven't seen him in so long. He probably forgot about me anyways. I doubt I'll even recognize him. Or vise versa.

Maybe life will be on my side in three days, And we can pick off where we left off. But I doubt it, it never happens. Not to me at least. I wonder if he has a nickname, like me. Probably. I don't know. I don't know anything about him.

We never had any contact because there wasn't anything we could do. I mean, not much money doesn't help. California is very expensive. Can't do much.

Maybe we can be best friends again? Maybe even more? We'll see I guess.

I grab my suitcase and exit my room. Am about to head in the car when I scream, "Wait!"

My parents look at me as I hop out of the car and run into the vacant house.

I run upstairs, up to my bedroom. I almost forgot my picture. Tobias and me. Laying on the grass in our spot. Good times, good times.

I jog back towards the house and hop in the car, Caleb already asleep by my side. I plug in my earbuds and slowly let my eyes drift off.
