《The Pentagon》Chapter 5: The College Experience

When I get to campus, I am welcomed by a girl named Melissa, she didn't seem friendly at all. She looked at me once and she wasn't impressed. I don't give a fuck about one bitches impression of me, so what-the fuck-ever.

I make it finally to my dorm room. I am not sharing with anyone. Not at all surprised, my father wouldn't have wanted me to be at the watchful eye of one of his enemies who could find something about me and destroy him.

I swear the man has gotten more and more paranoid the past 9 years.

And in case it wasn't clear, it’s his reputation that matters most, not my safety or what I want.

I would have loved a roommate. Someone forced to like me so they can make their own experience of high-school pleasurable.

I shake my head as I smirk to myself.

"Okay, this is all you. You have your own bathroom and shit. If you need anything, don't call me, okay?"

I arch an eyebrow, but I give her a small nod. She turns with her too-tight ponytail and leaves. I stand and watch her go. She may be a bitch, but she has a nice ass and I like looking.

I don't even know what I'm into. I know I like men, but whether I like girls romantically is still to be seen.

I love the female form. I love looking at women's bodies, but I don't know if I want more than that. Or maybe I haven't found a girl I want it with.

Hmm, maybe this will be my opportunity to see.

I close my door as I think about the possibility of a hot girlfriend with jet black hair and maybe green eyes.

I check out the view. If it can be called a view. The side of the next dorm building is the only thing visible from here.

Great.

Just great. Which means I'm going to have to find a place with a decent view I can hang out in. I need to see nature, open air, trees, something for me to be calm.

I decide to check out the campus after I unpack some clothes. I got here already late, school starts tomorrow, and I have to check out where everything is because I missed orientation.

I don't want to make it that obvious that I'm the new kid. They already emailed my schedule so I can just see where what is and tomorrow I can just get into it....(yuh).

I step out of my room when I notice the sun is almost gone. I don't want to out there late at night. I don't know what creeps this place has, and I don't want to be acquainted with ghosts if they have any here. Not trying to piss my pants before the school bullies even start with me.

I get into my sneakers, and I get a hoodie. It is still warm, but just in case. I am in my plane blue mom jeans. I walk out and lock my room.

I don't take the lift, opting to stretch my legs. Maybe I can see a trail I can jog if I’m lucky so I can start with that soon.

I collide with a chest when I turn the corner on the foyer.

"Ow!"

I almost laugh. I wouldn't be able to think such a manly sounding voice would emit such words.

I look up at the owner of said whine and I find a kind face with a frown behind a pair of glasses.

Cliché nerd.

The frown quickly gets replaced by a small smile when his eyes land on me.

Great. I still got it.

"Sorry, I wasn't-" He tries to explain. He has his phone, and he was clearly not looking.

"Please don't tell me you are catching Pokémon." I sigh and hang my head animatedly

He catches my drift and he grins, almost blinding me with his white teeth.

"I am. I figured I’d get a game in before I need to turn in for the jungle tomorrow." He shrugs

I smile. "My name is Willow. I am new."

"You look new." He says, with a nervous laugh, scratching the back of his neck.

I wait for him to tell me his name. He just stares at me. I clear my throat and he almost jumps. "Yeah, right. My name is Simba. I'm not new."

"Lion King?"

He sighs. Oh, so he gets that a lot. Well, his parents suck for doing that to him.

He nods, with a defeated sigh.

"Where are you going?" his eyes dart toward the door he just came through

"To check the campus and where everything is. I am already late, and I don't want to be clueless tomorrow."

"It's getting late. I can accompany you...if you don't mind that is."

I just stare at him. Not many people hand out nice gestures to me.

"I mean, I'm not a creep or anything. I swear I won't murder you."

I burst out laughing. "Well, Simba, my man, you do know that all serial killers say that exact thing before they butcher you?"

"How you know?"

"Maybe I was one in my past life."

He grins then he steps back, towards the door and he holds it to me.

I step forward. "Wait, what are you doing here? Isn't it a girl's dorm, or girlfriend?"

"I live here. Fourth floor. It's a mixed dorm."

"Oh."

I've never heard of a mixed dorm in high-school before. Kinda seems like they are daring us at this point.

"They want to give us the college experience, I guess. Help us adjust better in college...Or so they say."

I nod but I don't answer. We walk to campus, and he shows me where everything is. I also helped him with his Pokémon catching after we had vending machine ice cream.

By the time we go back it is late and its fast approaching my bedtime of 22:30. He promises to walk with me tomorrow and I couldn't be more grateful. I hope I've made a friend. Mom will be happy to hear it.
