《The Devil's Bride》Incredibility

I sip on the apple juice straw, cordially waiting for Silver to arrive. I don't know what is taking him this long but I was getting restless.

Meanwhile, Synn looked so unbothered and calm like this was a normal routine or he was used to it. He sat across from me on the leather chair, typing on his phone. His hair looked slicked like it was gelled. His fingers were accented with golden rings which I think were made of pure gold just by looking at it.

I sat in Synn's cloth-I know shocking- but I couldn't help it which in fact he didn't mind. I happen to have seen my period this morning which by the way was the first of December. I'm not the type to steal a guy's cloth but this one I was currently wearing was an exception.

It was a light gray sweater made of soft furs on the body. My neck was clouded with the turtle neck it had, warming me up from the cold and perfectly hiding the marks Synn gave me. It had started to snow this morning which I assume was what was making Silver's late.

"What the fuck is the mother fucker?!" I see the aggrieved Synn taking a glance at his phone to check the time on his phone before he lifts his eyes and stares at me.

"You know," I continue stating at him, blush on my face from his intimidating stare. "You're a cloth thief, right?" He finishes a small smirk on his lips.

"I'm not!" I defend standing up straight. I wasn't going to lie, I was but that didn't mean I was going to accept the truth.

"You're fucking wearing my sweater without having asked my permission."

I walk up to him, my hands flatly on my sides with a dismayed look. "I don't need permission to wear clothes."

"Correction: my clothes." He points out as I roll my eyes. I see his eyebrow raise a bit from my actions, his body slowly leaning up, getting into a standing position.

"Did you just roll your eyes at me?" He asks. I could hint at a slight enormity in his voice but he didn't sound offended.

"Uh-no," I say trying to keep in a giggle. I slowly lean back, my head turning back for a moment to see if there was a route to escape as Synn slowly made his way towards me.

I take a gentle step backwards, my body in a full alert but that was when I was proven wrong so badly because, in a swift, I barely saw when he appeared at the back of me.

I gasp with shock, my body joined with him as his hands crawl around my waist. I feel his cologne feel the air drifting into my nostril.

"Synn! Stop!" I giggled bursting into a laughing fit. My breath was cut short due to laughter, my body shaking vigorously as he surges at me.

"Next time, you won't roll your eyes at me ever again." He says stringently, but a smile on his face didn't match his tone.

"But-" I try to say but I hear the silky voice of Silver flows through the room.

"Woah! What did I miss?" From my peripheral vision, I see him stroll into the room with a Pea coat and Selvedge Denim Jeans. I see a wool sweater sticking out from the bag that was dangled freely on one shoulder, his hands holding the strap.

Synn straight away dispassionately removes our body from together. I look straight ahead, my cheeks burning from shame. I gather my posture, instantly remembering I hadn't completed my sentence.

"The time you had of being wise and maybe your whole life," Synn answers Silver's previous question. I bring my hand to obscurely alter my turtle neck so the warmth of it floods back to the area of my neck.

"Nah. My life is better than your ass like one. Anyways, I'm sorry Linda but I wasn't able to get chips." He drops the wool sweater on the couch, forthwith taking a seat on the couch.

"But why? I really wanted the chips you munch balls." I say walking up to him, a pout on my lips.

"Sorry folk. Chips are out of sales." He says breezily. I slack down on the couch, taking the remote in my hands with a sigh. You must be wondering why I needed chips.

Well, guess what? During the days, I've been having a very unhealthy with chips most especially the potato one. Suspicion shined greatly in Silver's eyes giving room for great doubt.

"It's very cold," I mutter rubbing my hands together to get some friction. I take a quick glance at Synn to see the straight face he was keeping. His eyes were dimmed a bit with its colour and his face was somewhat countenance.

"Are you cold?" I ask Silver taking my eyes off Synn who was mindlessly thinking into space. How weird does the silence in the room feel?

"Not really. My Pea coat is doing me good." He snuggles his wool sweater like a teddy bear, my lip titling to a smile. I take my eyes off Silver, the room instantly filled with the noises coming from the TV but I was sure no one was interested in watching such. We all sat in circles, our thoughts keeping our minds busy.

Somehow, I was somewhat curious to know what Synn was thinking. He's been staring too long at the wall for a long amount of time and now it was disquieting. He seemed so tired but he didn't show it even though he'd tried to show. He always looked so calm and neutral but I knew that in that kind of his was a racing mind with different thoughts.

At some point in time, I see him racks his hands into his locks, a small unnoticeable sigh leaving his pink lips. I feel my body quake with concern, my eyes still fixed on his frame. I was substantially aching to touch him and hug him, it was disturbing.

I lift myself off the couch, walking my way towards Synn where his eyes immediately meet mine, his eyebrow furrowed a bit from nervousness. He looked like he wanted to ask why I was standing in front of him and why I was looking at him with pity but I didn't care the least.

I threw my body on him, my hands going over his shoulders, my legs mounting his hips and thighs as he finds me on his body in a sitting position.

"What's wrong?" He says, clearing his voice from the cold. I hummed, lifting my head a bit to meet his hinged expression.

"You look tired and sad," I tell in a soft whisper. Even though it wasn't all true, he didn't show he was all those things but I felt he was. He was assumably trying to hide it in his facial appearance.

I hear his low chuckle, his hands flying on their own to attach themselves to my waist holding me close as he bounced me on his lap.

"I'm not." He says through a tight small smile. I look at him, trying to read his extremely dark red eyes.

"But I feel you are. Why?" I ask, playing with my thumbs.

I see his face tighten a bit, his eyes not leaving mine. I couldn't read his expression which was indeed hard because he didn't have any sign of emotion on his face.

"It's the bond connecting us together." He explains in a sentence but I was trying really to understand.

"It means since we're becoming closer, our bond will too. Which explains why you are feeling this way." He elucidates.

"Does it mean it's true? You're sad and tired?" I ask, finding a tint of hope I was right.

"Barely. I rarely feel those shits!" He scoffs, rubbing the pad of his fingers on my waist.

I look down, biting my lips in the process. The bond was kind of complex to understand. It was verifiable that we were getting a little close which was so weird because I can still remember the day I proved and convinced myself that I hated him for all he had done to me and other people like Geletino. But this bond was eerie. Just one night and it brought us close together.

Conventionally, I never thought I was going to be standing here in front of him and sitting on his laps but here I was doing exactly what I didn't think I'd do. It was beyond belief.

"Don't think much into things. You'll get a headache." Synn's voice brings me back to reality. I look up at once, confused about how he knew I was thinking.

"I just knew." He says brusquely

I literally opened my mouth, my intellect flabbergasted. Did he? How did he do that?!

"Baby, I just read your mind. It's something I do to people like Silver."

"What?!" Silver butts in but Synn chose to ignore him.

"Point is, I'm allowed to do so." I see a tiny smirk on his face, my insides flooding with jellies.

Does he read my-

God! He's reading my mind now, isn't he?

Synn you're cute.

I hear him burst into a small laugh before he died down, his eyes sparkling with joy. He is so different than the Synn I met the last four-month it was almost hard to believe he was one. He acted so human-like.

"You're freezing." He comments, his hands reaching out to adjust my turtle neck.

"Just a little but I need chips," I say standing up and going over to Silver who was half-conscious.

I huffed under my breath, leaning in to vigorously shake him up so he wakes up. I see him stir a bit on the couch, his breath low.

"Fuck you, Linda." He curses, his eyes opening in the process only to have him regret it in an instant because Synn suddenly appeared at the front of him with a glare, his hands wrapped around my waist.

"Language," Synn warns, his grip on my waist tightening. I blush, biting my lips while looking down.

He guides me back to the couch, taking a slop down next to me with a heavy sigh. Even though I wanted to believe him, I still felt he was lying to me about his feelings. The bond between us could never be lying so why was he lying to me?

I decided to let it go, not wanting to sound suspicious or doubting to him. We all sat on the couch, our breaths a little chilly from the cold.
