《Strings of Fate - Avenger's Soulmate Story》Chapter 23

Two days had passed since the incident. The avengers were back to working normally, though most were still concerned about Serafina. They had discussed about her triggers and decided to let her arrive first. During this time, Stephen was trying to make sure Serafina returns to her normal state. Serafina felt horrible, as if she was back to square one. All these years she trained to control herself, but she let go so easily. Even though she was scared of their reactions, she wanted to go back. She decided she should ask Stephen to send her back, but before she could even take a step forward, a portal appeared in front of her. To her surprise, she saw Tony's lab and decided to walk through it. She found Tony sitting on his desk, focused on something. Quietly, she walked towards him, and hugged him from behind. Tony felt Serafina the moment she entered the room but didn't want to scare her so he sat till.
We both sat in silence as she snuggled in my arms. "What are you working on?", she asked. "This is a gift for you.", I tell. I chuckle as I watch her eyes widen with curiosity as she peers over the items on my desk. "What is it?" "This is a bracelet....I tried to make it as pretty and sophisticated as I could. But when you need it, this would cut through any type of restraints, no matter what they are made of.", I try to explain to her. "May I ?",I ask for her permission, knowing that this was a sensitive issue. Quietly, she lifts her hand, allowing me to clasp it around her wrist. She sniffles lightly, as she stares at the bracelet. "I thought I was back in the cell. He was there too.", she whispered slowly. I rubbed her back gently as she continued, " At first, it was just a little panic but soon everything faded. The room changed. I was back on the chair where he would so the experiments on me. I didn't realise when my magic flared. So I ran away. I tried to calm myself in here but when you all entered suddenly I panicked again. What Nat said, he would always say that to me before the procedures. I didn't want to hurt them Tony." She was now sobbing against my chest. "It's okay, darling. Nat and Steve are not hurt that much physically. But they both are quite upset as they think you might hate them.", I tell her. "I could never. Can I meet them?",she asks quietly, making me smile.

"Of course. I would suggest you meet Steve first as he is doing better than Nat. You might have to spend some time alone with her...........she hasn't come out of her room since. Hasn't eaten anything either, so maybe being close to you might help her.", I suggest.
Honestly, I was quite worried about Nat. If I were in her position, I would have gone back to excessive drinking or done a lot of damage but she just isolated herself which seemed much scarier. I knew Sera would be able to console Nat, and knowing how whipped Nat is.......she'll feel much better to have her soulmate close as well.
After a few minutes of silence, she got up and walked towards the door. "I'll go and meet Steve....please tell the others Tony." I nodded, giving her a thumbs up before returning back to my work.
My fingers were sweating due to nervousness.
What if they hate me?
How will I apologise for this?
As I knocked on Steve's door, I kept thinking of what I should say. As he opened the door, his eyes widened when he saw me. "H-hi Stevie....May I please come in?" He walked towards me and pulled me in for a tight hug, lifting me completely off the ground. "Oh doll, I was so worried. How are you? Are you hurt ?"he asked me a dozen questions nonstop while sitting us both on the bed. I hugged him tightly and felt him run his hands through my hair," I'm very sorry for what happened. I lost control so easily. I have been practising thus control for years and I snapped so easily. Please forgive me Stevie....I-I had n-no i-idea ....what I was doing....I never wanted to hurt you or Nat. I love you all so much..I.....",I couldn't finish the sentence, once again sobbing violently. The guilt of hurting your soulmate was eating me from the inside and I had no idea what to do. Before I could say anything, I felt Steve's lips on mine. As we both kissed, I felt myself calm down. I broke the kiss before Steve could deepen it. "Please forgive me.",i beg. "Doll, it was not your fault....there is nothing to forgive. If anything we should be apologising for not paying attention to this detail. Please don't feel bad Sera... you did not hurt us. Although I must say....I am quite impressed by your powers. We all were....well after everything calmed down.",he says. "Will Nat forgive me?",I ask....afraid to hear his answer. I did hurt quite badly, mentally if not physically. Steve's face grew serious," I don't think she is mad at you Sera....she must be angry at herself. I think she blames herself for everything that happened. We haven't heard from her ever since.",he explains. "I should talk to her as well..", I mumble. He kissed my cheek,"Yeah you should... and don't worry about me....I am fine...we'll talk later....It's important to check on Nat first."

I nod and walk out of the room.
On reaching Natasha's door, Serafina knocked a few times but got no reply. She then asked the AI to unlock the door, knowing that she was the only one who could do so. As she walked inside the dark room, she couldn't help but gasp at the condition of the room. Everything was broken and Natasha was nowhere to be found. "Nat....baby where are you?",she tried calling out but in vain. It was then she noticed a figure crouched on the floor near the bed. As she switched on the lights to get a better view, the sight shattered her heart.
There was her soulmate, covered in cuts and wounds.
With swollen eyes and dried up blood.
She refused to meet her gaze and kept her eyes downcast.
Serafina felt helpless as she had no idea how to help her soulmate.

Keys of the Endpoint
Keys of the Endpoint is an illustrated web serial about the re-birth of civilization in a fantastical world suffering from a recent apocalyptic event. Every day, people appear from the storms that ravage the Endpoint. Whisked away from their own time and place by storms in their homelands, these newcomers find themselves in a hostile place made up of ruins and people from every timeline imaginable. Stranger still, they all soon discover they're carrying silver keys that grant each holder incredible powers. On Earth, most people have mundane excuses for the disappearances, but not Isaac. Having lost his brother Finn to one of these storms, Isaac becomes obsessed with finding a pattern. Not to prevent more people disappearing, but rather to get taken by the storms himself in order to find his brother. While chasing Finn’s faint trail, Isaac soon discovers how little he really knew about himself, his brother and how much loss one person can take. In Keys of the Endpoint there's portal fantasy, personal drama, magic (useable by everyone), plenty of combat, power progression, mysteries, factions, feuds and eventually war (in that order). The magic system is well defined and modular with nigh infinite combinations. The story starts out with one of the two main characters looking for his lost brother but quickly expands in scope from that point on. Breaking Horizons: Book 1: Snared Origins
Many want to learn things from a story, while others only want fast-paced wonders. We are human and we like to dream, we are alive and we want to feel. Don’t wander outside before knowing the inside. Even if this is slow, it gives you the reader, things to behold. This is a story but also knowledge. It isn’t fast or entertaining but makes you wonder. Everything starts from something unknown, we all want to know the untold. However, can you persevere if something starts being boring? Shouldn’t entertainment start from something unexciting? Open a door to what you might know or not. Learn to dream in my unhealthy abode. Start from the garbage since that’s the place where I belong. Welcome to Raccoon’s abode. Breaking Horizons: Breaching the Fourth Dimension. A slow story that will take you on a ride towards the unknown. PS: Will make things clear here. The actual main character is a human, the raccoon is a pet for the novel. So it isn't a raccoon Isekai or reincarnation as a raccoon. I still haven't added it to the story, as I am currently doing the intro. A long intro! So the start might feel off when you read it. The story will include many genres but starts with psychological stuff and low fantasy. The whole story is an enormous puzzle, but it starts with a tiresome beginning for many. There is a reason for that... If you want to know more about this story check my discord: https://discord.gg/rZs6mem You can ask what you want to know there. Or join a bigger and cooler server where many authors hang out: https://discord.gg/2hbvq8B (Its dungeon engineer and many cool stories' server) This is my own story, so its for me only. I will not have a schedule. I left it on hiatus for a while, can't write two stories, too busy.
