《Stoned is Angel's Grace》Smirking Stone

It had been following him for weeks. The stone angel figure appeared everywhere at every turn. It always had its head in its hands, it looked like it was crying. It looked like it was weeping. So he looked up weeping angels and found a whole pile of police reports on stone angels appearing and disappearing. Another pile of police reports stated that people had gone missing, but the next day, versions of them that were at least fifty years older claimed to be the missing persons.
Sam sighed and shut his laptop.
"How's the research coming along Sammy?" Dean asks a little too cheerfully.
"What's got you so happy?"
"What's got you so grumpy?"
Sam throws a bitch-face at Dean, who just shrugs and walks off, beer in hand.
Sam rubs his neck in an attempt to release the tension that had slowly -but surely- built in his neck. He hadn't slept comfortably since the appearance of the stone angel. He blinks tiredly and tries not to focus on the stone angel. He thinks he should call Castiel, but he doubts that Cas would know more on this subject.
The human moose picks himself up and moves to his own room to sleep, but only finds the weeping angel blocking his way. He blinks and the angel doesn't move, at least not towards him. Instead of it's crying pose, it holds out a piece of paper. Sam wearily takes it and reads aloud.
"Go from Crawford Hall to Elysian Fields Hotel, you'll find the thing that will set him free..."
Sam looks confused and looks at the stone angel, who is now... smirking?
Sam didn't find that the stone angel can move odd, he's dealt with crazier shit. But smirking stone? Come on! It's just weird.

Sam sighs and folds the piece of paper up and shoves it in his pocket. "What do you want from me? You keep finding me and you keep appearing in my dreams and I can find no useful information. So do me a favour and just tell me, or..." Sam trails off and pulls a gun from a nearby drawer. "Or I'm going to have to shoot you," he finished as he takes the safety off the gun. He blinks again and the stone angel is standing so close to him that he could moves less than a milimeter and they'd touch. Only now with the stone angel so close to him, that Sam realises that the stone angel is quite short.
He blinks again and he's not in the Bunker any more. Instead he stands on the side of the road, a single blue car drives by, taking no notice of him. Then it's there. That damned weeping angel is on the other side of the road.
Sam aggressively storms over to the stone figure. "What the Hell? I have only one gun, a note, a thin plaid shirt and an hour's worth of sleep. What are we doing here?"
Sam blinks again and the stone angel has another note in his hands, Sam takes it and reads it aloud.
"Save him. He can help, trust me," Sam huffs and shoves the paper in his pocket. "Are you writing these notes? Who's doing this? Is this some sick joke?" Sam huffs again and walks up the road, not wanting to look at the stone creature.
He knows that he should fear the creature, to try and kill it before it kills. From what Sam had read, you run from these guys. But this one did not feel threatening, that's why Sam was able to sass it the way he was.

He walks up the road for a few hours, his head occasionally drooped, but the cold rushed him to reality again. Eventually he found a town, he also found the nearest motel and checks in. He looks around the motel, it looks familiar, but only vaguely. He had been to so many motels that they began to become one and the same. He goes to his room and flicks on the lights. And that's when he recognises the blue, white, green and yellow flowers on the walls, and the round table and the two large beds. How could he possibly forget the last time he was here?
So what it was five years ago, he'd never forget T.V Land.
