For the first time since Harry had known him, Fred seemed to be lost for words.
Fred knew something had gone terribly wrong the moment they started off the journey. Call it a gut feeling, but he had never been so anxious about something. Moody's plan seemed foolproof— there was no way they could be in imminent danger. Yet when the first death eater struck, he had his wand out without a moment's hesitation. His hand shook as he tried to hold on to his father and casted every single hex he knew at the attackers. The confusion only grew when all of them flew away unexpectedly, the pit in his stomach hollowing further.
His brain reminded him of all the faces he saw at the Dursely's residence. Somehow it felt like the worst wasn't over. He couldn't register everything that happened as he grabbed the portkey to home, the air around him felt too loud. Lupin was the first person he saw before he heard his mother cry and engulf his father in a tight hug. It was as if things stopped as he realised his twin was the one bleeding on the couch.
"How do you feel, Georgie?" his mum whispered.
George's fingers groped for the side of his head.
"Saintlike," he murmured.
Throat too thick, Fred could only mutter, "What's wrong with him? Is his mind affected?"
"Saintlike," his brother repeated, opening his eyes and looking up at him. "You see... I'm holy. Holey, Fred, geddit?"
Fred didn't want to cry, he didn't. Yet his eyes watered anyway. He knew what George was doing, he couldn't spoil it. Not when he was hurt so badly, not when he knew his mum would break apart if he did just that.
"Pathetic," he told George, forcing on a smirk. "Pathetic! With the whole wide world of ear-related humor before you, you go for holey?"
The grin he got in return seemed to be worth it, he hugged George as soon as their mum left.

Demons Don't Lie
Algier, average human and recent convict, has committed the gravest sin of all: demon slaying. His fate? To participate in the Culling, a battle-royale style tournament that’s televised live to the world, where all the worst criminals go to die. As with all tournaments, a prize is on the line. If Algier survives, he can have any wish granted by the Marquises, the new rulers of Earth following the demons’ invasion. However, there’s little hope for survival in a tournament designed to have demons do the work of the executioner, especially for a human. Demons are stronger, faster, wiser, and more talented than the average human, and, despite his crime, Algier is no demon hunter. Mentally defeated before the tournament even begins, Algier is torn between becoming another demon’s points and fighting on in his dead mother’s legacy. But should he choose to fight, there is one advantage that Algier has that can tip the odds in his favour: Demons don’t lie, but humans can. How to read this story Demons Don't Lie is written from the perspective of an unreliable (lying) narrator. There are many inconsistencies within the story which are placed there intentionally. It's up to the reader to decide what is the truth and what is the lie. Promotion Full quality cover image

Dispite how it sounds, activating the device that melted her brain was probably the best thing that ever happened to Blade, a former member of the slum districts. Chapters are always 2000+ words with no relese schedual at the moment. Thanks for reading! -------------------------------------------------- Droped due to poor quality.

The Magic Swordsman
Clearing the most difficult mode of an RPG game called ?The Invasion Of The Demon King?, Hiro Miyagawa unlocked a new difficulty, the ?Hardcore Mode?. Pressing the "Yes" Button, a sudden white light flashed on the screen of the TV, forcing him to close his eyes. Due to the lack of sleep from playing the game three days in a row, Hiro fell asleep and reincarnated into Theo Regnard the moment he woke up. As the support character of the game ?The Invasion Of The Demon King?, Theo Regnard was destined to die at the beginning of the game. Refusing this kind of fate happening to him, he resolved himself to become stronger and walk into an unknown road instead of choosing the supposed "Good Ending". This is the story of a man who was cursed by the demon god, a story of a fallen prince who has chosen the path filled with blood and revenge, a story of a support character who became the main character, a story of the man called Theo Regnard. Author Note This is a slow-paced story and the first book that I'm writing. I hope that those who are interested in that book can find the enjoyment they were looking for.
