You walked over to the Gryffindor table and looked for the boy.

"Hey Y/L/N what are you doing here?" You turned around and saw Neville making his way over to you.

"Hey Neville , I kind of want to ask you something" you smiled shyly , not knowing how to act around him.

"Sure , just ask" he smiled back.

"Wouldyouliketogototheyuleballwithme?" You blushed and mumbled "only if you want to"

"Did you just ask me out?"

"Y-yes I guess"

Neville smiled brightly "of course I'll go with you! I wanted to ask you myself but I don't know if you noticed it but I can be quite shy"

"Yeah I noticed alright" you both giggled.

And after that day you and Neville hung out more , and both of you couldn't be more excited for the ball.
