Papyrus had been sitting by himself for awhile in the cavern. Alphys and Asgore were the other two he 'lived' with. He was contemplating back on the good old days with his little brother Sans. Then he showed mercy to Sans, and everything went down from there. Asgore then broke his thoughts. "Papyrus! Sans broke the doors!" He said with a panicked voice.

"Oh no." Papyrus responded as he looked across the cave and saw that Asgore was telling the truth, his brother broke through the doors, his claws out and ready, determination marks glowing, armor shined and ready. Papyrus made his determination marks glow, then he slowly and carefully walked toward Sans and signaled Asgore and Alphys to hide. Mustering up the courage, he yelled at his brother. "Sans! Leave!"

"That's no way to treat family, now is it Papy?" Sans smart-assed back to his brother before he readied his claws and jumped on Papyrus, tearing at his jacket and hoping to break some bones.

"Sans, I love you, make no 'bones' about it! But you need to calm down and talk to me!" Papyrus said calmly, inwardly smiling at his little joke he slipped in.

"SHUT UP! NO ONE LOVES ME!" Sans screeched. Fighting desperate tears back. "Especially you, Papyrus!"

"Sans, that's not true, I love you, Alphys loves you, Asgore loves you, right guys?"

"Yeah! I love you Sans! I care!" Alphys agreed.

"Yes, Sans, I love you too! You always brightened everyone's day back when we were all younger." Asgore agreed as well.

"I-I love you guys too!" Sans wept, not even trying to fight his tears back this time, he put his claws away and hugged the trio, happy to know that someone cares about him.
