《Keep you safe [Eruri]》4: come with us

Levi stood in the middle of a field, with no one in sight. What he was doing there, he didn't know. How he got there was another mystery. But, for the meantime, he was more concerned about him being alone.
The place was familiar, in some way, though Levi didn't recall having ever seen it before. It also seemed as though it was outside the walls in Titan territory. This startled Levi, and he reached for his swords.
The problem was, there were none. In fact, he didn't even have his 3DMG with him, nor his scout uniform. He was standing completely exposed in just a shirt and trousers, with nothing to defend himself and no one to help him as far as the eye could see. His horse seemed to be missing, too. These were all terribly concerning factors if he was indeed outside the walls. Levi would be Titan chow before he could say 'windex' at this rate.
He walked along the muddy field for a few minutes, the mud squelching under his bare feet as he took each step. Tch, disgusting, Levi thought, wondering why he was barefoot in the first place. He tried thinking of any possibility. Had he been banished from the walls? No. The people nor the scouts would allow that to happen to humanities strongest. Was he kidnapped and couldn't remember a thing? In that case, where was the kidnapper, and why did they take his shoes?
Levi wandered on, pondering these ideas and more before stopping dead in his tracks.
Standing at the other end of the field, near a forest of giant trees, were two people. One, a girl with auburn hair tied up in two pigtails, dazzling green eyes and a smile so bright that it melted even the coldest of hearts. An angel in person, it seemed.
The other was a young man with untidy and unbrushed sandy blonde hair, light blue eyes and a confident look painted on his face. Both people were around 17-19 years old by the looks of them, and both were waving to Levi.

"Levi-anaki! Over here!" The girl yelled at the top of her lungs, jumping up and down like a child on Christmas. The boy stood and smirked, looking the girl up and down. All Levi could do was stop and stare.
Memories flooded his mind, from the first time they met to the time they said goodbye. The ups and downs took over him, and made him feel a type of happiness he hadn't felt for ages. The girl kept calling to him, and the boy looked straight into his eyes, as if to say 'are you going to ignore her or are you going to come and say hello?'
He chose the latter.
Levi didn't care about the mud or how dirty he was anymore. He didn't care that a Titan may appear and devour him at any second. The only thing Levi cared about right now was getting close to the people he'd lost. The ones who left him too early. So he ran. Harder and faster than he'd ever ran before.
He stopped before the two, and gazed into their eyes. They were just as he'd remembered; one like emeralds and the other like the sky. They shone with happiness and hope. Something they had given Levi when he was about to give up.
"Isabel. Farlan." Levi muttered in disbelief. Isabel giggled.
"Hi Levi bro! You haven't changed at all since we last saw you! You're still short!" She joked. Levi looked at her, disgusted that it was the first time they'd spoken in 5 years and the first thing she had said to him was an insult.
"You know that I can't help that." Levi responded in an annoyed tone.
"Sorry about her, Levi. She's just excited." Farlan smiled. Levi's eyes widened.
"How come you're here?" He asked quietly. "I saw you die, get mauled by that Titan, and yet...you're here." Farlan let out a tiny chuckle.

"Don't you want us to be here?"
"Why wouldn't I?" Levi asked, shocked that they would even think he wouldn't want to be with them again.
"I don't know. I'm being stupid." Farlan replied quickly.
"Yeah you are!" Isabel added, sticking her tongue out at him. Levi sighed a happy sigh. He was with his family again. Even though those two were fighting all the time, he was glad to have them back.
"Listen, Levi." Farlan cut off Levi's train of thought and brought him back to reality. It seemed, while he was recalling the good old days, that the mood had changed. It was no longer happy; it was serious.
"Isabel and I..we've waited 5 years for you to join us. We want our big brother back. It's just that you seem so involved with the scouts now." Farlan said in a way that made Levi feel as though he'd let his friends down.
"What do you mean, exactly?"
"Well," Isabel began before Farlan could. "You seem to have struck up a friendship with that blonde Commander we were supposed to kill. It looks like you trust him a lot. Is that true?"
Levi questioned this for a while, though he didn't know why.
"Of course I trust Erwin. He's going to save humanity." Bad response.
Isabels eyes gained tears and slowly they began to fall down her face. Farlan bent down to wipe them away, looking at Levi with a disappointing glare.
"Do you not remember, Anaki? We died during this job. We...we wanted you to fulfil it, and avenge our deaths. But..but you go and befriend the one we were assigned to kill? That's an insult!" Isabel stuttered with rage creeping into her voice. She looked even more angry than she did when the MP's stole all the food from their house one time.
"I'm sorry. That's just how it is. Besides he knew we were going to kill him, and If I backed down I would die!" Levi tried to argue.
"So what!? We were already dead! Maybe you could've come with us!" She yelled in retaliation. She tried to hit him, but was stopped by Farlan.
"Thank you." Levi said gratefully.
"I don't want your thanks." Farlan spat unexpectedly at the shorter man. Levi stood, stunned. He'd never seen this side of Farlan before. He was angry. Very angry.
"Look at what you've done to Isabel. I bet this was your plan all along! To ditch us for him and the scouts! To claim citizenship above ground for yourself and leave us down there in that god awful shithole!" Farlan yelled, standing in front of Isabel, who was still crying.
"That's not it! That's not it at all! You guys are like family to me!" Levi pleaded. "You're acting ridiculous! Calm down!"
"I won't! You might consider us family but we don't consider you family. Not anymore. You betrayed us for some guy who treated you like dirt and looked down upon us 'underground scum'. You should be ashamed of yourself."
And with that final line, a gust of heavy wind blew, and blew Levi away from his former friends. He tried to yell for them, but his voice wouldn't work. They just stared at him, disappointed.
•=•=•=•
Levi's eyes snapped open suddenly. He felt a and on his shoulder, and the presence of 3 people. His vision was blurry and his throat felt sore.
"Stay calm, Levi. It was just a bad dream."

The Girl Named Rino
Oh. Hello. I didn't see you come in. No, don't worry. I don't need to hear your name. I already know what it is. I also knew that you'd come up at around this time. But, at the same time, I also didn't know. It's very hard to put into words - but that's what happens when you become the Chaos God. Your psyche gets messed up, big time. That's even more so for me, who was already warped enough to confuse reality with imagination - and, even make the rest of the universe believe that it was so. But, enough about me. Let's talk about you. You seem to come from a very far away land. It's faint, but your presence is there - in a relatively primitive planet. No wonder, no one wanted to stay in, or conquer your region of the universe - there's nothing worth controlling there. Your existence, much like your entire solar system, also seems to be pretty insignificant. Tell me, is your race capable of destroying your own world? Oh, you're already well along the way? Global Warming? Pollution? Overpopulation? Nuclear weapons? Wow... it's been many millenia since I'd last heard of such ancient concepts from someone who is actually living through it. Still, good job getting that far. That means that your world is now, at least, worth considering as a possible place to install a World System. If I find the time, I'll try surveying it. You can just thank me, later. Oh wait! What kind of person am I, not even offering my guest any hospitality. I'm ashamed. Please, take a seat. What would you like? I have everything the multiverse has to offer, whatever it is you want - I can get. Ah! After we talk, would you mind, if I asked you to do me a tiny favor? There's this girl, I want to keep tabs on. She's in one of the Worlds that I preside over, it's called Aiarthe. But, for some reason, I can't see her - not directly, at least. All I need you to do, is check up on her from time to time. Whether you do it as a pure spectator or through someone else's eyes, is entirely up to you. Really!? You would!? Wow! Thanks! You really did me, a huge solid there! For agreeing so quickly, how about I get started on surveying that planet of yours, right now!? You can help yourself, to anything in the fridge! Well, see ya!

8 93Good Guy Necromancer
Necromancers are murderous, repulsive, utterly ungodly creatures. And then there's Jerry. Jerry is a novice necromancer who treats his undead warmly, seeks to befriend people instead of harvest their bodies, and doesn't mind cracking a skull or two when needed. He genuinely is a good guy—too bad nobody believes him. Trying to discover his place in the world, Jerry will live great adventures. He will make friends, each unique in their own way, and together, they will travel through a variety of striking environments; from a tiny village, to the land of the dead, to a jolly archipelago, to a kingdom on a beanstalk. To save a world that shuns him, Jerry must stand against a large organization of arrogant, mighty wizards. He strives to become stronger while maintaining his kindness, only to realize that, maybe, gentle hearts make the greatest necromancers. This is the story of a delightful man in a harsh world—full of warmth, action, and wise-cracking bone puns. Chapters are usually 2-3k words, and updates are 3/week: Mon, Wed, Fri. If you're looking for another fun, action-packed adventure, check out Cultivator vs. System by yours truly, available on Kindle, KU, and Audible. But read Good Guy Necromancer first.
