《Levihan - Addicted To You》Chapter 5 - Misunderstanding

Hange was humming as she made her way down the not so narrow hall skipping lightly. There wasn't anyone in the hall considering it lead to Levi's office and he despised noise. She was about to barge into his office when she stopped.

"Isn't this amazing?! My father is getting things ready for it"

That was Petra...

"And when did I ever agree to this?"

And that was Levi...

"Levi!", Petra whined and it was almost as if Hange could see her pouting "Please you have to consider. My dad is already preparing things and be honest... I'll make a good wife right?!"

Wife? The hell was she on about? She heard Levi sigh.

"How can we be getting married when there is a whole battle with Titans going on? Maybe we should just leave it for later"

"No. No we can't. What if one of us dies and..."

Hange left. She didn't want to carry on listening to this conversation. Petra and Levi were getting married and Petra's dad had already started preparing for it? And Levi said nothing about this to her? It was silent treatment from now onwards. And it was only best to pay Levi back although it wasn't clear to her why she was so angry about this. Levi had always been a friend and a comrade and she should be happy for him. But she wasn't.

"Section commander? Levi wishes to speak to you", Moblit informed Hange. She looked up from her paperwork in fear.

"No matter what happens Moblit DO NOT open that door. Tell him I was too tired so I went to bed or something like that", she rushed her whole sentence quickly jumping into bed. Moblit had no other choice but to carry out the instruction.

The silent treatment carried on for weeks and Levi was always left dumbfounded. She could've at least told him what was behind her attitude towards him.

There was a scream from Hange's room as Erwin ran in to see Hange covered in hot tea.

"Erwin?"

"Hange.", he stood there staring before getting a dry towel for her.

"How did you even manage to spill this on yourself?"

"It was too hot and my hands slipped"

He dried off the hot tea from her face and packing up the pieces that broke.

"You've been ignoring Levi lately". Hange huffed attempting to dry her clothes.

"Is there a reason behind it?" She still ignored him. Erwin chuckled slightly walking up to her face to face. There was barely any space between them.

"You're too close", she spat out averting her eyes.

"But you're not moving", Erwin was smirking at this point.

The door swung open. Upon hearing her childish cry, Levi had dropped his newspaper and precious tea running in too but the sight was awful.

"Erwin get the fuck out of here"

Erwin stood up accompanied by Hange. He left the room and just as Hange was about too she got pulled back. He rubbed the tip of his nose and sighed.

"You owe me an explanation", he began staring into her soul. She stared back not showing any sign of intimidation.

"We're together", she replied before finally huffing out. He blinked a couple of times.

"That's absurd. You and him are breaking the rules. Rule 46, a soldier must not engage in a relationship with another soldier"

"It's 96, Levi. You just picked a random number and spat out nonsense. Maybe you should re-read it. And shouldn't the same rule apply to you and Petra?"

"Me and Who?"

"I heard everything. Sort of...", she stopped attempting to leave with an inner grin but once again got pulled back. Levi shot the door with the key tossing it his pocket.

"Explain to me what you just said", Levi commanded shooting all sorts of daggers.

Hange groaned.

"If I have to fight you to get out of here, I will. Plus your leg isn't fully recovered so it's already a win for me", she was sighing at this point leaning on her table not looking a bit interested.

"Hange Zoe you're testing my fucking patience. Don't try to pull that trick on me where you try to be mysterious and all. It didn't work last 6 times you tried"

Hange laughed "it's working now-"

She got cut off when he stumbled up to her pulling her collar so she was now down to his level and their head in line. Hange put her two hands up.

"Fine fine... I'll spill it... I'm talking about you and Petra's marriage"

Levi let go of her, watching her fall clumsily on the floor. She began groaning as Levi squatted to look at her.

"There is no marriage, Hange. She persuaded her father to declare one and begin preparations with the excuse that she's fallen for me and didn't want to waste any more time. I tried reasoning with her that we are in a situation where there should be no marriages and she wasn't listening. And if you're that worried... I cancelled it"

"Oh-"

"Is this why you've been ignoring me for over a week now?"

She grinned sheepishly whilst nodding.

"If I didn't know better I'd say you were jealous", he smirked.

"JEALOUS?! Give me a break... I was worried that our strongest soldier was gonna run along with his new wife leaving us behind"

He nodded sarcastically unlocking the door and throwing the key back to Hange. The key bounced on her hand multiple times and in the end she dropped it.

"Klutz.", Levi muttered before slamming her door. His next stop was Erwin's office. He barged in closing the door behind him.

"I never remembered myself hearing a knock and telling you to come in", Erwin spoke in in a calm tone still focused on the papers in front of him.

"Why does any of that crap matter?", Levi questioned directing the men in the room to leave. They scurried off quietly closing the door behind them.

"You didn't tell me you were in a relationship with Hange"

"Why would I be with that crazy psychopath", Erwin replied still with the calm tone and still focused on the paper whereas Levi was confused.

"Don't call her that... She said you were together"

"She persuaded me to do with", Erwin was now looking up "She threatened if I didn't do it she would end all experiment and researches and leave. And I can't afford to have one of the most talented and smart soldiers gone. So I went along with it"

Levi twitched his eyes.

"Did she tell you why she persuaded you to do it?", he yet again enquired.

"No." Levi sighed out in relief. Whilst noticing it Erwin smirked.

"You sounded like you were worried... I wasn't going to take her, Levi. She's all yours"

Levi froze in his spot "I wasn't worried, Erwin. I thought it was against the rules so I came to double check. That is all. Don't you dare get the wrong idea again"

With that he stormed off listening to Erwin's chuckle in the background.
