***Remi's POV***

Waking up to a shift from my pup, my body jolts. The pain from yesterday has settled deep into my bones. It's wrath leaves a heavy weight upon my heart.

My fingers gingerly search for Edward's back, attempting to shush my pup back to sleep. Exhaustedly, I peel my eyes apart to access the condition of my broken family.

Kai howls loudly, alerting me of something amiss. Jumping, jostling the bed, I sit up to find the danger.

Met with a smile that I do not want to see, I immediately snarl at my creator. With hands up as if begging for peace, the Moon Goddess approaches. Lips parting, she begins to speak. I shake my head.

Whatever she has come to say, I do not want to hear it. She has lost my respect. Deity or not, the Moon Goddess has been unjust. I owe her nothing.

Moving carefully to remove myself from the blanket of wolves, protecting me, I stand upon my feet to face the Benedict Arnold. Her presence is unwelcome, a nuisance.

Crooking my finger in her direction, I silently lead her out of my bedroom. I do not need her defiling all that I have left. The damage she has done will be enough for one lifetime.

Turning suddenly, my form towers over the gorgeous woman. Love radiates around her, through her. Blasphemy rolls off of her sheer dress in tumultuous waves.

"What now?" My hands clench at my sides.

"Remington, please." The Goddess looks at me pleadingly. I couldn't care any less.

"Speak your piece and leave. You are unwelcome here." My words are acidic, meant to scar her a tiny portion of how she broke me.

"I deserve that." Her whisper brings an incredulous eye roll from me. Damn right she does, and so much more.

"I have come to beg your forgiveness." The moon goddess bows her head in shame.

"Negative. Thanks for coming. Please don't return." Venom laces my haughty denial.

"I made a mistake." The Moon Goddess peeks at me from under her lashes.

"Fuck yeah you did. What are you going to do about it?" Crossing my arms, I send her daggers with my eyes.

"Come." The Moon Goddess says no more as she turns away from me.

"In case you didn't properly access the situation, I have a family to care for, alone. Thanks to you." My not so gentle reminder brings a stiff nod from my creator.

"We will only be walking outside. I won't take much of your time." Her words are soft, full of promise.

Agreeing, I follow behind her.

As we make our way out of the pack house, the wind picks up, brushing my skin. Littered goosebumps raise. A scent I would know in death comes filtering into my nostrils, causing pain and peace to fill me. I shutter at the memory that is too fresh.

Blinking against the morning sun, blurred eyes focus at the sky. It weeps. Rain pours from the clouds, looking too beautiful in the moment. Cool drops fall as the clouds echo my overbearing emotions.

"Get on with it." I move my focus to my Goddess. Not that she deserves my loyalty, at all.

"Even deities are subject to human moments. I am not without flaw." The Goddess gives me eyes full of grief. I nod in acceptance of her admission.

"I thought that love made you weak. That was my mistake. Pain makes you weak. Love bears all, sees all, covers all. I have unjustly meddled. I must meddle once again." Confusing words pour from the ruler of my world. My eyes narrow at her convoluted statement.

Her hands weave around her, gentle movements swirl the air. Pearl colored particles dance around the ethereal creature. The image forming takes my very breath, leaving me to gasp.

My hands reach, gripping the illusion. Desperately, I pull the hologram towards me. Warm skin, solid flesh, and a scent so powerful it could kill me, meet my form.

"I'm sorry." The Goddess steps back, leaving me a wide berth to torture myself in his dream presence. I don't care. I will fight my demons later. I just need him.

"Talon." My breath comes in a broken pant. My fingers lift his forehead to my lips to seer my love into his ghost.

"He's real. Alive. I have rectified my mistake. Again, I apologize." Her words are music to my ears yet, leave me with questions.

Pushing him back, I need to figure it out.

"Explain." My eyes never leave the cerulean blues that hold me captive.

"You're love was not mine to break. Fate deemed you worthy. Destiny changed its course. When love exists in a form this pure, you leave it to be as it is. I had no right to take away something more powerful than a picture I had planned for Talon's life. Sometimes, a love like this rewrites the pages. I am happy to return what I have stolen." The Moon Goddess exhales a breath of fatigue.

My hands grip my Mate with possession, pulling him into me tightly. Talon tucks himself under my chin. My skin trembles as he breathes me in.

"Your new journey is to be a forever love. Not much has changed. However, if you ever separate, you will both perish. My gift to you is eternity. Again, nothing has changed much. Be diligent in your love for one another, your family, your pack. No expectations, beyond love, exist. Do what you know. If ever a time comes when I need you, I will give you the choice. Another gift, you may deny me my request. In everything you do, do it with love. Love conquers all." The Moon Goddess smiles, I do not snarl. My lips mime a thank you.

She fades away, leaving me to wrap my head around what I have just endured. Saying fuck the last twenty four hours, I grab my love, leaning into his mouth with my own.

His hands yank at my flesh, pulling me into a toe curling assault of bliss. Our bond tightens, reinforces, grows. My skin sets ablaze, filling my body with immeasurable love.

Talon pants into my mouth. His tongue steals my oxygen. I willing surrender to his kiss.

Backing my mate against the door, my hands slide down to his thighs. Bringing his body to wrap around me, Talon seals himself to my hips. Kiss. Kiss. Kiss. Love. More love. Even more love.

Talon is everywhere that he is supposed to be, finally. Gradual lust fills my form, hardening my member with his touch. Without a single fuck to give, I unleash my beast. Frantically peeling away his pants, I expose his entrance to be filled.

Talon moans loudly when my long thrust tethers us together. Anointed pants fall from his delicious lips, being gobbled up by my hungry kisses.

My teeth scrape against his lips, his jaw, down to his neck. With conviction, I sink into his throat. Ecstasy flushes through my body, expelling my first load into his accepting body.

"Remington. I love you." Talon moans every word.

"I love you baby, eternally. It has always been you." I thrust again, pushing deeper as I brand myself into his flesh. We can talk about his stunt later. I have no need for that conversation at the moment.

Hours seem to move passed us as we reconnect, rekindle and reignite our flames of love and lust. In the open space, I mar the air with sounds of pleasure, joy and raw lust.

When Talon begins to wither in my arms, I slow down to take him gently. Never separating, I give him one last fill before moving his spent body off of my cock.

Talon whistles lowly. Playfully, he plunders my mouth with his amazing tongue. I invite his affection with open arms.

Remembering we have a baby, a member unknown to my mate, I redress us. Talon reeks of me. I relish in the fact that I smell like him.

Pulling my love against my side, I make our way back into the house. Met with smirks, shocked faces and thoughts that should be embarrassing, I smile. Genuinely, I smile at my pack who grieved our loss hours ago.

The welcoming party hesitantly moves around my mate. Each person ushers forth to fill my mate with gratitude for his replaced presence. My heart grows, fills with thankfulness.

Maybe the moon goddess was a cunt, but even they can have redemption. This is restitution. My mate smiles blindingly at each wolf as they hug him, kiss him and steal him from my arms.

A cry sends a wave of relief over me. Edward let's his presence be known. Ally moves forward, depositing our pup into Talon's arm.

A fresh wave of reassurance hits me as Meka howls excitedly. His cries are of elation. My smile widens, finally able to breathe after the worst day of my life.

Talon walks me to the couch, sitting beside me. My mate curls against my side, tucking his feet beneath him. His chin rests on my chest, eyes staring at me proudly. After positioning our pup, I watch my mate as he witnesses me providing for our pup.

Talon's fingers rub the crown of our baby's head. His other hand runs the length of my cheek. I don't comment on the warm tears he spills.

"Thank you." I whisper down upon my love.

"For?" Talon glances at me for an explanation.

"Loving me." I bend down to take a kiss from his beautiful lips.

Our pup squirms, demanding attention. With a gentle chuckle, I hand him over to my mate. Talon moves the pup automatically into position. With expert hands, Tal releases a humongous burp from our child.

Mom and Mrs. Williams bring Gracie and Hannah to us. We shift, making room for our children. With our hands full of the culmination of our love, we smile at one another in perfect harmony.

My pack surrounds us, taking up seats in every spare space. Each one smiles at us, their leaders. Babies move, crawling along the floor, squirming into their parent's hold. Couples bring themselves a little closer, feeling the heaviness of what we have all endured.

My mother sinks to her bottom at the floor beneath me, squeezing my knee gently before patting it reassuringly.

Silently, we all bond. Every part of us has felt love, felt loss and were devoured in a sea of grief. Each wolf, among us, has been given a taste of pain through a sacrifice that didn't need to be made. We learned salvation in admittance.

The creator of our world relinquished her perfection after a moment of premature angst.

When the time comes that we must face the inevitable, we will have a choice. What our choice will be is left to be unseen. However, our choice will not be manipulated by a higher power.

My world is complete as I sit amongst wolves, both warriors and men. They follow blindly to which I am thankful for. Fortunately, I will not lead them astray. We will not.

My heart releases a beat that it had been holding since yesterday. My breaths come easier. My eyes search for my mate's, not being disappointed.

With love radiating through me, around me; I open our bond so that this time, he can feel all the love I have for him. Every moment with Talon Williams has not been easy. But, they are all worth it. This man has brought me into a place so amazing, I willing bartered my soul so that he could live.

The way we complete one another is a book in itself. Our story, a masterpiece meant to be shared. If I live a thousand years, I will never take one single breath for granted. We do not know when life may try to pull us apart.

Trusting the Goddess to keep her word, I know that we will have many, infinite days to share more of what we have built.

In Talon's hands I am loved. In his hands, I will always be.
