《WALKER》TWELVE

"Martin!" My dad yelled and a man came walking up to us. "We're heading up to the main road, you're coming with me." My dad said and the man nodded.
"Who's the girl?" The man asked in confusion.
"This is my daughter, Rosaleigh." My dad said and the man held his hand out to me. I shook his hand and my mom pulled me to her side before walking towards a black jeep.
We jumped into the car and my dad and martin followed suit before we started driving towards the main road.
I couldn't restrain myself from nervously biting my nails. My mom took ahold of my hands before holding them together so I looked up at her.
"You're fine." She said softly so I looked out of the window. If anything happens to that little girl I would never be able to forgive myself.
I finally spotted my dad's car so I directed them towards it. We were blocked by a few cars and had to walk further.
It's become completely dark now so we hurried through the cars.
My dad got to his car first and then Martin. I limped behind my mom until we reached the car. I went over to Faith's side before unlocking the door and searching the car for her.
"Faith!" I called in a trembling voice but she didn't answer. The car was completely empty and her backpack was missing too. "Faith!" I called again but it came out weakly.
"Faith! It's me, I came back!" I cried out and a light flashed on the inside of a car a few meters away from us.
I ran to the car and spotted faith inside. She jumped out of the car before running towards me. When I reached her I picked her up before hugging her as tightly as I could.

"God kid don't scare me like that." I sniffed sadly as her arms rested around my neck.
"I'm sorry Rose." She cried sadly so I rubbed her back.
"You did the right thing by leaving her here. She's safe." My dad said and I nodded.
"Faith this is my mom and dad." I told her so she carefully lifted her head up. "Mom and dad this is Faith." I said and they kindly greeted her but she kept quiet.
"We're gonna stay here for a while." I told her and she frowned lightly.
"But what about uncle Elliot and uncle Noah?" She asked in confusion.
"Did she just say Elliot?" My dad asked angrily and I frowned.
"Yeah why?" I asked in confusion.
"Elliot killed your sister and Paige." My mom said blankly. And I frowned deeply before taking a step back from them.
"He said the same thing about you." I said and my dad groaned.
"I've had enough of that boy going around slandering my name." My dad said angrily. "Where is he?" My dad asked angrily.
"Why? You're not gonna hurt him, are you?" I asked and my dad narrowed his eyes at me.
"If this is about Noah, he didn't do anything. My problem is with your brother he needs to be taught a lesson." My dad said sternly.
"I won't tell you until you've calmed down." I said pointedly before walking away from him.
"Rosaleigh!" My dad yelled in anger but I ignored him. I'm not that same little girl whose life he dictated over.
I placed Faith on the ground before continuing our walk to the black jeep. My parents and Martin soon followed us before getting in the car.

When we finally got back to my parents' house we all went inside. Two men stood by the fireplace and I felt a knot forming in my belly when I saw who they were.
I cowered backwards and their heads shot up at me. My mom took ahold of my hand before frowning at me.
"It's okay honey. They work for your dad." My mom said and I pulled my hand out of her grip.
"We're leaving." I said pointedly and my dad looked at the two men at the fireplace.
"Anything you boys wanna tell me?" My dad asked them and they glared at me.
"No sir." John said shortly.
"No sir." Kyle added and I clenched my jaw.
"We're leaving." I repeated before heading for the door.
"Rosaleigh you can't leave. Where are you gonna go?" My dad asked so I stopped in my tracks.
"I'll go back. Anywhere but here." I said angrily.
"To Elliot?" He asked and I nodded.
"Yes to Elliot at least I can still trust him." I said and my dad's eyebrow raised.
"So you don't trust me?" He asked while looking into my eyes.
"Show me your friends and I'll show you who you are." I spat at him and he grabbed my wrist. "That's what you taught me Joel." I said and he clenched his jaw.
"What are you saying, Rose?" He asked angrily.
"I'm saying that if it wasn't me, if I wasn't your daughter! You would've let them rape me!" I screamed into his face and my dad raised his hand at me.
I flinched back before looking at my dad.
"That's why Porter and his gang had to ask for your consent. How many?" I asked angrily. "How many girls had to go through this?" I continued and my dad glared at me.
"You don't know what you're talking about." He said in rage.
"Yes I do! I'm not some dumb kid anymore! This is who you are dad! A monster, it's like I don't know you." I said and he twisted my wrist. A scream escaped my lips as my dad pushed me away from him.
"Take them to the cages." My dad told John and Kyle so I got up from the ground.
"Fine I'll stay. But just so you know, you're dead to me." I told my dad before walking outside with Faith.
"You still got that walkie?" I whispered to Faith and she nodded.
"It's in my backpack." She whispered back so I nodded at her.
"I'll get us out of this mess." I told her and she nodded before hugging me. "I should've listened to you kid." I said softly before I heard footsteps behind us.

Azarinth Healer
A new world with nearly unlimited possibilities. A status, classes, magic and monsters. Sounds good? Well, for Ilea it didn't come quite as expected as for some other protagonists, nor was there a king or god to welcome her. The grand quest? Well, she might figure that out someday but for now, a new world with new food is prize enough. Her fists at the ready, she's prepared to punch and get punched, however long it takes and however many limbs she might have to regrow. A story I've started writing now quite a while ago. Transported to another world, somewhat standard fantasy setting with my beginner attempts to make it dark but funny. There are Litrpg elements here but I do hope it's not too heavy and annoying. The fights should be interesting and aren't just numbers vs numbers. Contrary to the title the protagonist will be quite an offensive fighter. Ilea Spears is your average sarcastic kick-boxing fast food worker and soon to be student. She will be transported to another world rather conventionally and will be confronted with survival in the wild. Give it a shot and let me know what you think. My experience is incredibly lacking. If you find yourself hating it early on, do convey your anger in a detailed comment or review :) I want to get better but without any feedback it's simply quite difficult. Quick heads up: Around chapter 120 there are a bunch of longer PoV changes that I discontinued again shortly after. The Arc around chapters 150-200 is darker than the rest and the themes shift quite a bit. Just know that it goes back to what you've come to know after that section. Thank you for reading. Quick update June 2019: Many complaints regarding the formatting, specifically spacing in conversations and of course the usage of the present tense in the first 36 chapters have been addressed. I'm of course learning by the day but compared to how it was before it should be an improvement at least. Chapters usually around 3k words Cover art by Kevin Catalan
