Sungjae had been waiting for Taehyung not long now. After their little 'disagreement' on the phone Sungjae felt bad for once again getting on Taehyung's nerves so he thought seeing him just for a bit to apologize would be good. He stuck with that idea until he saw Taehyung walking in with none other than Jeon Jungkook. At first Sungjae didn't notice that the male beside Taehyung was Jeon Jungkook instead thinking it was a random.
Until Jungkook raised his head and made eye contact with Sungjae who gulped from the stare but he was quick to break eye contact and look at Taehyung. Once Taehyung saw Sungjae, he felt his heart speed up not because he was happy to see Sungjae- but because he knew what was about to happen. Quickly walking away from Jungkook, Taehyung approached Sungjae who had a dull facial expression. "Having a life huh? With Jungkook? Your ex?"
Sungjae spoke a little too loud which made Jungkook hiss. The embarrassment of being brought up in the conversation hit as Jungkook quickly kept walking. "No- Okay, he's not my ex. Calm down!" Taehyung scolded Sungjae who scoffed. "Calm down? Really? You're telling me to calm down when- you know what, no I'm not doing this." Sungjae removed himself from the situation and left Taehyung who was confused. "Do what?! What the hell?" Taehyung said while following Sungjae.
"You lied to me. You said you were out." Sungjae turned to Taehyung who sighed and rubbed his forehead. "No I didn't. I was out." Taehyung spoke out but Sungjae spoke over him as he heard that. "Clearly! Out with Jungkook is something you forgot to mention. Your ex!" Sungjae got a little louder. "You don't need to know everything! My god Sungjae! This is why we're on a break! I need a break from you! From this!" Taehyung became annoyed with Sungjae.
"So what?! We're on a break now and you get to screw Jungkook? Go right on ahead!" Sungjae kept walking after what he said. "You know what?! I will! You want me to screw him so fucking badly?! Fine!" Taehyung yelled to the male who kept walking. "Oh fuck you Taehyung!" And just like that Taehyung was left with Sungjae driving off. Leaving Taehyung frustrated and confused on what the hell just happened. Until Sungjae messaged him a few minutes later with a break up message.
That was the cherry on the fucking top. Wanting to cry, Taehyung closed his eyes and took a couple deep breathes before he walked inside. If he was going to cry, it was going to be in the comfort of his hotel room- if Namjoon wasn't there. Noticing that Jungkook had left, Taehyung felt calmer. At least Jungkook didn't have to witness that. In the elevator though Taehyung started to tear up. Fighting every single day for how long? trying to fix his stupid relationship but Sungjae just- gosh he was a headache.

Wiping his tears, Taehyung walked out of the elevator and went straight to his room. Having a little trouble with his key but once he got into the room he cried. So much emotions going through him. Half being because of Sungjae and his stupid feelings but the other half was because... Jungkook. Not sure why but seeing Jungkook again just brought back everything from the past and he just... he didn't like the feeling of the past. It was great but how it ended changed his life.
Did Taehyung cry the whole night? Almost but he was interrupted by the door being knocked on. Figuring it was Namjoon who forgot his key or even lost his key- Taehyung went answer the door with red puffy eyes. All cuddled up in his oodie, Taehyung opened the door but the male that stood in front of him was not Namjoon but Jungkook. "Hey..." Jungkook breathed out before he brought out soju from his bag. "Seokjin and Namjoon are still... busy in the room so I figured I come share this with you. Seems like you need it." Jungkook looked a little saddened at Taehyung's state.
Sniffing, Taehyung manged to smile and rest his head on the door edge. "I have a raging headache so I think I'll pass but you can come in and drink them yourself." Taehyung offered. Jungkook was ready to leave the situation until Taehyung told him he could go in and could he refuse? Of course not. He wasn't about to go back to his hotel room to Namjoon and Seokjin doing whatever they were doing. They moved pretty quick huh?
Walking in, Jungkook walked over to the bed and sat down. Cracking open his soju, Jungkook watched Taehyung get into bed and stuff some toilet paper in his nose. "You're a mess." Jungkook pointed out which made Taehyung look Jungkook dead in the eyes. "Gee, thanks." Taehyung sat up and rubbed his eyes. "Yeah, you're welcome." Jungkook put his soju in a cheering motion before taking a shot. Hissing soon after from the burn.
Taehyung watched Jungkook's reaction to the soju. "Did you drink before?" Taehyung asked since well- he didn't actually see Jungkook drink or even mention of him drinking when they last saw each other. "Lightly." Jungkook took another shot just to feel something quicker. Nodding, Taehyung rubbed at his neck and then looked at the bottle that Jungkook had grabbed out. "Come on, I know you want it." Jungkook shook it lighter and moved the bottle closer to Taehyung.

The little motion made Taehyung smile as he sighed and reached for it. "One won't hurt." Taehyung pushed off the hoodie of his oodie and cracked over his soju Jungkook offered him. "You're saying that now but just wait until it hits you." Jungkook warned Taehyung who scoffed and took a big shot of his soju. "Shut up." Taehyung finished off his shot as he then hissed from the burn down his throat. Watching Taehyung made Jungkook laugh a bit as he bit his lip and looked at the floor.
"Jungkook?" Taehyung spoke up after a while of it being quiet. "Mm?" He responded with a hum. Again it went quiet until Taehyung spoke up. "Did you ever move on? Find love?" Taehyung asked while tapping his glass of soju but laughed at his wording. "Find love. Sounds a little too cliche." Taehyung spoke to himself that time as Jungkook thought of what to say. More like he didn't know what to say. "I tried. I went on a date with this guy but..." Jungkook thought of the memory and shook his head. "Didn't work out." Jungkook looked at his bottle.
"What? Miss me too much?" Taehyung joked around expecting Jungkook to follow along. It's what they've been doing so he expected to keep on going with that but- "Honestly, yeah." Jungkook responded as he rested his head on the couch. "We've been joking around all night. Aren't you mad at me? Don't you have questions? It's been three years Taehyung." Jungkook finally came out with what was on his mind. Why not? They were both alone.
Gulping, Taehyung got in a more comfortable position on the couch. Taehyung didn't know what to say or how to approach to situation so he stayed quiet. Noticing how Jungkook was waiting for him to speak, Taehyung breathed in and shrugged. "I was mad. For a while but then I got why you left. I don't blame you for leaving but..." Taehyung shrugged. "I just wish you didn't say those things that morning because that was what broke me the most." Taehyung bit his lip.
Before Jungkook could speak up though, Taehyung kept going. "But I got over it. Sungjae... he made me forget about Seoul and everything I left behind." Taehyung finished off with taking a sip. The mention of Sungjae... really bothered Jungkook. "Do you love him?" Jungkook couldn't help but ask. "Hm?" Taehyung knitted his eyebrows in confusion. "Sungjae. Do you love him?" Jungkook asked again but this time he was looking at Taehyung. "... It would be questionable if I was dating Sungjae for two years and I didn't love him."
Jungkook looked at his lap and nodded as he forced a smile. "Yeah, I guess so huh." He poked his tongue at the inner side of his cheek. "Ask me if I'm happy with him." Taehyung said after seeing the expression on Jungkook's face. Testing the waters, Taehyung wanted to see what Jungkook would do. Looking up, Jungkook looked confused but he went with it. "Are you happy with Sungjae?" Jungkook asked and Taehyung shook his head.
"It's been a while since I've been happy with him." Taehyung admitted as he kept eye contact with Jungkook and once he finished what he was saying, Taehyung saw the little smile come across Jungkook's lips. "Really?" Jungkook asked. That only made Taehyung smile as he then nodded. The two looked at each other for some time until Jungkook finally opened his mouth. "... I've..." Jungkook bit his lip once more before speaking. "I've missed you. Tae... so much."
What Jungkook didn't expect was Taehyung to say it back. "I've missed you too Kook." Taehyung bit his lip. The tension was there as they looked at each other. Jungkook could feel it, he knew that feeling. It was a familiar feeling whenever he was with Taehyung. It's just been... so damn long since he felt that last. Gripping onto his glass, Jungkook decided to pull a bold move. Putting his glass down, Jungkook gulped as he then turned back to Taehyung.
"Push me away if you don't want this." Jungkook told Taehyung who was confused at Jungkook's wording but the confusion was long gone when Jungkook placed his hand on Taehyung's cheek and leaned in. Not able to process what happened until Jungkook had kissed him but by the time their lips connected, Taehyung had his eyes closed as he felt the plump lips softly kiss him.

Necromancer's Resolve
Foster Locke's life wasn't the harshest it could have been. But it wasn't the easiest either. Despite losing the last of his family and having immense debt thrown on him, getting the chance to keep practicing Martial Arts pulled away, and having a completely messed up sleep-schedule, he usually tried his best to stay positive to the outside world. Of course, that wasn't always possible, especially not when he was staring into the glowing eyes of a man-eating creature he had never heard of before. The glowing message-box that accompanied it wasn't much better either. Not to mention the fact that he was suddenly in a dark forest instead of the train station. This isn't a story of great anguish, inescapable peril, or heroic world-saving. Rather, it's one of a young man trying to get by in a world that seems to try his best to kill him. I hope you enjoy the read. --- Cover Image temporary [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
