《KATANA ~ a MHA fanfic》Chapter 6 - Interrogation

It's been two days since they were at the bar. Katana and Anna had just been gathering information whenever they could, but Katana chose to stay close to her sister so she doesn't get tempted to do something stupid again like approaching people.
However, tonight she wanted to return to the bar to see if the green haired man was going to be there. The sisters needed a little more information to get where they wanted to be. Since Katana didn't get much information last time, she wanted to try once more. And this time do it with her sisters assistance.

It was nighttime and the bar was packed once again. Unlike last time, Katana stayed on the rooftops and moved around not making a sound.
"Let's split up. I'll go this way and you stay around here." Anna said and jumped on to another rooftop. Katana just nodded in agreement.
While sneaking around silently, Anna heard something. She quickly grabbed a small knife that was in a pocket on her arm and threw it without even looking. She turned around and she could've sworn she heard breaths. Not giving it a second thought, Anna started to walk towards the edge so she could jump onto the next building. She hoped she could find what she was looking for tonight so she could return home and forget about this city and their heroes as soon as possible.
Then she heard a sound again. This time she stopped completely, starting to slowly pull out her staffs. But when she turned around there still wasn't anyone there. Suddenly, she felt her mask getting ripped off. Now angry, Anna threw two small but sharp knives in the direction she sensed movement. The knives seemed to stop midair as she heard someone whimper. Before she could do anything though, she noticed a pink fog surrounding her. She was too distracted to notice it earlier and now she was feeling dizzy.

Though she was trained to endure this type of toxin this time it was different. It was stronger. Eventually it won over her and she passed out.

Anna woke up with her head on a table. She slowly sat up and noticed she was in handcuffs. Then, a tired looking man and a dog headed one entered the room. In one quick move, the black haired girl snapped the handcuffs free of her hands, broke the pole it was on and held it against the dog-mans throat.
"Calm down, we only want to talk." the other man said.
"We're not here to hurt you."
She was still feeling a bit dizzy and lost so she decided to stand down until she gained enough energy to bust out.
They gestured with their hands for her to sit down as they did so themselves. Before speaking, the tired looking man took a deep breath. He looked nervous.
"Let's cut right to the chase." he said while pulling out what looked like a picture out of his pocket.
He slid it on the table towards the assassin and gestured for her to take it.
She slowly picked it up and looked at it. It was a picture of a smiling girl with short, white hair, downturned eyes of periwinkle blue, a cute nose covered with freckles along with the rest of her face. Her eyelashes were long and beautiful, lips full and plump.
She looked around 15 or 16, sitting on the stairs of her home.
"She kinda looks like... Katana?" Anna thought.
After looking at it for a while she put it down and looked up to the two men sitting in front of her.
"What is the meaning of this?" she finally said.
"Do you recognise the young girl in the photo?" the dog headed man asked.

"No. I do not. Why am I here? Who sent you?" the green eyed girl answered, forming fists under the table.
The two men looked at each other, now more nervous than before.
The silence was irritating Anna. The sudden rush of adrenaline she felt from her anger was all the energy she needed to kick the door down and escape.
The tired looking mans hair stood up as she did so but it had no effect on her. He must've tried to use his quirk, whatever it was.

After going separate ways I jumped on a few nearby buildings to have a good lookout. I was really hoping that at least someone from the night at the bar could be here so I could gather some information for our mission.
I saw some people walk by and none of them were talking about anything interesting or important. Then, just as I was about to jump to the next rooftop, I saw this young girl walking all alone. What is she doing out this late? I know I'm an assassin but that doesn't mean I'm heartless.
I couldn't help but stay close in case something happened to her. That's when I saw two drunk men walking towards the girls direction. She looked uncomfortable but seemed to have the situation under control.
Until she didn't.
They started following her and didn't listen when she told them to go away.
"Oh come on, can't we have a little fun?" one of the men said.
It was disgusting and I wanted to help the poor girl. I pulled out an arrow and a small bow and fired at the men. Though that didn't seem to stop them from harassing the girl. I rolled my eyes and jumped down in front of them.
"Hey bab-" one of the perverts started to say but was interrupted by a punch to the face by me and passed out on the sidewalk.
"You want to be next?" I asked the other man who looked terrified.
He shook his head and ran away as fast as he could with his drunk self.
"Thank you." the little girl said, shaking.
"Go home. You shouldn't be out this late." I said and patted her shoulder, a little light illuminating around us as I did so.
"Are you alright?" I asked when I sensed her tense up.
The girl nodded and gave a slight smile before she walked away.

Shadowrun: Blake Island School of Magic
It's a high tech, low life. It's the Seattle Metroplex in 2074. It rises like a steel and concrete cancer out of the earth. Poverty is rampant, corruption is everywhere, crime is out of control, corporations basically control everything, the old United States is fractured, magic has come back and now it turns out that humanity has been joined by elves, dwarves, orks and trolls. The old world ended but the rent is still due. Life goes on. You'd be surprised what people can adapt to, especially if they don't have a choice. One of the places where life goes on is just west of Seattle. Surrounded by the waters of the Puget Sound is an island. On that island is the Blake Island School of Magic. A decade ago it was known for producing some of the most talented awakened in the world. That reputation was hijacked by the wealthy corporate elite who now park their teenage children there. And since it's a boarding school, their parents mostly forget about them. Three young people, who are certainly not wealthy or elite, are chosen this year to attend this school of magic in hopes of revitalizing their reputation for talent. One from the ash drifts of the Puyallup Barrens, one from the most densely populated slum hive in the world and one from prison. This is their story. -- This story is set in the Shadowrun universe. If you're not familiar with Shadowrun, it mostly tells the stories of deniable mercenaries called shadowrunners in a cyberpunk dystopia. Instead of telling another story solely about shadowrunners, this story will tell the tale of young people navigating a world that is indifferent to them at best and actively hostile at worst. Shadowrunners will be in the story and we'll see them operate, but they won't be its main focus. This story originally began in 2017 as a passion project and continues to this day on the Somethingawful.com forums. The unedited version is over a million words strong. There are currently seven books in this series and I am currently in the process of editing them.
