-What do you want to eat tonight? - Jarvis asked me.
-I don't know, Jar, what do you recommend?-
-We should see if Mrs. Stark will dine here.-
-Could you call her, please? -
-Right away.- e said then made the call appear on the screen.
-Hello Mom.-
-Hey honey, tell me.- she smiled at me.
-I wanted to know if you will have dinner with me tonight.-
-I don't think so, honey, I have a business dinner. They told me a little while ago, sorry.-
-It's okay, it doesn't matter.- I tried to smile.
-I'm really sorry. Don't wait for me awake, okay?-
-Yes, okay. See you tomorrow, good night.-
-Good night, sorry again honey.- she smiled at me, then closed the call.
I went into the kitchen and opened the fridge, not wanting to cook something too complicated, I decided to make a quick salad, not being too hungry as I had eaten enough for lunch.
After dinner, I decided to take a stroll around Daddy's old workshop.
-Jarvis, how about taking a tour of the old laboratory?-
-We couldn't, you know...-
-Come on Jar, please, I'm bored.- I said sadly.
-Mh...and okay, let's go.-
-Thank you very much, Jar, you are the best.- I went down to the old laboratory and looked around.
It was filled with strange machines, many discarded blueprints, old concepts of armor ideas, and old Iron Man armor tests.
I started leafing through the project sheets and I got an idea.
-I know that look, what do you have in mind y/n?- he asked me.
-Well...I was thinking...I could modify one of the old Iron Man armor...- I said looking at them.
-Are you sure? It could be dangerous.- he said.

-I know, Jarvis, I know. I just want to try.- I smiled at him.
-Okay, y/n, alright.- he pointed out where the tools were and I started making changes to a project and adjusting the measurements, with the help of Jarvis.
After a couple of hours I began tinkering with the tools and armor.
Without realizing it, I fell asleep on the laboratory table.
The next morning when I woke up I noticed that I had a blanket over my shoulders.
-Jarvis, good morning.-
-Oh, good morning y/n. Did you sleep well?-
-Yes, quite good. This blanket?- I asked.
-It was your mother, yesterday when she came back she found you here and she covered you.- he explained to me.
-What time is it?- I asked, stretching.
-It is 9:38 am.-
-But I had a lesson at half past eight.- I said.
-It's Saturday, you have no class on Saturday.-
-Ah, that's right, ops.- I said laughing, then I went to the kitchen to have breakfast.
-Hey honey, good morning.- I heard a voice from the door, I turned and saw mom coming towards me.
-Good morning mom.- I smiled.
-How are you? I haven't been around very much lately and I ask you to apologize for that.-
-I'm fine, don't worry.-
-I know you feel pretty lonely locked up here. Anyway, I found you in Tony's lab last night, what were you doing?- She asked me.
-I was bored and went for a tour.- I said.
-I found this sheet and this is your writing.- she said passing me the project I had done for one of my armor -And I talked about it with your father...he was very impressed by you and we decided that you will go and spend a while of time with him in New York, together with the Avengers, so you will feel less alone.- she smiled at me.

-W...what? Are you serious?- I said, opening my eyes wide.
-Yes, in the afternoon I'll take you with the helicopter but then I'll have to come back here. So go pack your bags.-
-Thank you mom, thank you.- I hugged her then went to my room.
-Jarvis, did you hear? We will go to dad and the Avengers.- I asked happily.
-Yes I've heard.-
-But how are you going to do it? Will you have to stay here?- I asked.
-Do you really think that Mr. Stark can get away with it without me? -
-Well, you're right.- I laughed, then got dressed and started packing.
The morning passed quickly, around half past three, after lunch, mom and I took the helicopter to New York.
-Here is the tower.- Mom announced, pointing to a very tall tower with an A on top.
The helicopter landed on the roof and a man approached us.
I immediately ran to hug him.
-Hey baby, you grow up so much. How are you?- he said, returning the hug.
-I'm fine, dad. I missed you.-
-I've missed you too.- he said ruffling my hair -Hey love.- Daddy said breaking away from me and going to greet mom, kissing her.
-I have to go now Tony, see you soon.- Dad took the bags, while I hugged her, then she got on the helicopter and left.
-Are you ready to meet the others?- he asked me.
-Yes, I'm excited.- I smiled, he put his arm around my shoulders to reassure me.
-Then we have to talk about those projects.- he smiled at me.
-Okay, but they are nothing, really.- I smiled and we went down the stairs.
-Wait here, I'm going to call the others.- I nodded, he went ahead and left me halfway up the stairs.
I heard various voices and I began to feel my heart pounding in his chest.
-This is y/n.- when he heard my name I went down the steps, in front of me there were Natasha Romanoff, Steve Rogers, Bruce Banner, Peter Parker, Thor and Loki -My daughter.- my father continued.
-Hello.- I said embarrassed.
Everyone, except Loki, got up, came to shake my hand and introduce themselves.
-Sorry for my brother.- Thor said, when the God of mischief was gone, without even introducing himself.
-No problem.- I smiled at him, in that moment there was a kind of alarm.
-I'm sorry to have to interrupt you but New York needs the Avengers.- Jarvis said.

The Infinite Labyrinth
(Story complete - Book 1 "Shanghaied", 2 "Shortcuts", 3 "Secrets" and 4 "Sanctions") It is the 19th century, and war smoulders between England and France. Any hope for a quick end to Napoleon's rampage across Europe ended when the Great Gates opened in 1800. For a fortunate few, the strange world of the Infinite Labyrinth offers opportunities, strange descriptors popping in their minds, informing them of growth, and status beyond that of a mere mortal. The materials and power crystal they bring back foster a new age, both military and civilian. Aether-powered Skyships prowl the skies, as all the great nations blessed by the Gates try to turn the blessings of the Labyrinth into immediate advantages. But for Jonas, an apprentice leatherworker, his friend Ira, and so many Londoners, the fabled ones that walk the Labyrinth are distant heroes, seen from afar. They fell short when their Potential was measured, and they fill their mundane lives with distant dreams. One man wants to break the stalemate. The Tyrant of the Dominion of France, Napoleon Bonaparte, has a plan. Eighteen years after the world changed, he will force it to change again. And when civilians are caught in the fallout, the unthinkable happens. Six people, unqualified, forbidden to ever enter the Labyrinth, find themselves stranded in a distant zone, forcefully turned into Professionals. They know little of what that means, but they have to figure out the rules that are now their lot, for they have little hope to escape their predicament otherwise. They need to understand what the descriptors in their minds mean, what each of the strange piece of gear waiting in treasure chests behind terrible guardians can bring them. They have to become Professionals on their own and rejoin the Empire. They will figure out their new lives one way or another. But will there be an Empire waiting for them when the Gates re-open? Caught in a clash of empires and high tiers, they will do what little they can. They will step up and do their best. One way or another. The Infinite Labyrinth is a slice-of-life litRPG adventure set in a real historical setting. It's a hard, crunchy litrpg. Expect blue boxes everywhere, and the system itself is very mathy. It started life as a serial. I prepared some proper worldbuilding, with enough details and background for lots of different potential story arcs, but as I wrote, I realized the main story needs to have a definitive end. So, there are four books in total, for a bit under 1500 pages, plus additional side stories, and even maybe a sequel one day. The Gore tag was added as a precaution because there are a few scenes with some light gore.
