in this despairingly dark place

i am lost, trying to wander

somewhere that is not here

with my last, i set the match asunder

its flame glows quietly in my trembling hand

its warmth fills me with comfort

stars could not compare

nor anything of the sort

then it goes out

and i am left wandering once again

wandering through this tunnel

searching for the light at the end
