《Reign: The Diary of A Princess》Italy Here I Come

We'll be leaving in a while, and I hope my mother won't get sad and feel lonely while I'm gone. I assured her that I would still keep in touch by writing to her. Plus, Uncle James is here to help her with handling her subjects and court issues, as well as Lady Greer, as she is keeping her safe and helping with her pregnancy.

After eating breakfast, I went to my chambers to pack my clothes with the help of Isabel.

"Is this all?" Isabel asked.

"Yes, why? Do you expect me to bring a lot? " I smirked.

"Well, the usual Alexandra does bring a lot. Like ALOT of clothing," she laughed.

"Hey! No, I don't. "

"Yes, Alex, you do."

"Oh, whatever, Belle." I laughed back. "Have you packed your things already? " I added

"Yep," she nodded.

"How about the others?"

"Anastasia's done. She packed with me. I'm guessing that Antoinette's already packing now, might as well as Bekah. "

"Oh, that's great!"

"What time are we leaving?"

"In awhile... maybe noontime."

"Okay, should I tell the guards?"

"Yes, please." I nodded.

"Okay, I'll be right back!" She said before leaving the room.

I have always loved Isabel's joyful aura. She's actually the closest lady to me. We may have had some minor arguments before, but we'd rather fix it in an instant than let the arguments last for a long time.

Meanwhile, someone knocked on my door.

"Princess Alexandra, there's a letter for you." A guard delivered the letter.

"From whom?" I asked.

"From the Baron of Valey"

Oh, it's from my brother!

"Thank you, you may go now."

I am glad that he received my message before I left!

Alexandra,

I miss you too, my sister. How are you and Queen Mary? Regarding the voyage to Italy, I am quite thankful for the invitation, but I don't think I can go eventually. You must have read my mind. Yes, I do want to go away from here and have a vacation. Therefore, I have scheduled my trip for maybe a few days after your arrival in Italy. I can't wait to see you soon, sister.

I love you! Please do tell Mary that I miss her too!

I am very happy that he'll be going with us. At least he'll have more time with the love of his life, who is also my friend and a lady of mine.

I went looking for the queen, so I checked her chambers, but she wasn't there. I checked the dining hall, the throne room, and the front yard, yet she was still not there. I'm already getting worried. Gladly, I saw Greer.

"Lady Greer!"

"Alexandra"

"Yes, why?"

"Have you seen my mother?"

"Isn't she in her room?"

"She's not there. I already checked the dining hall, throne room, and the front yard. "

"Hmm. Better check the garden. I guess she went for a stroll. "

"I should go and check. Thank you, Lady Greer! "

She smiled and waved goodbye.

I went to the garden to check if the queen was there.

"Mother? Are you here?"

A servant came to me and said, "Your majesty, do you need anything?"

"Have you seen my mother?"

"Oh the queen? Queen Mary is over there, princess." She pointed toward the pond.

I went to where the Queen is.

She saw me and welcomed me with a greeting, "Alex!"

"Mother"

"Do you need anything?"

"Oh, nothing, mother."

"I just—"

"Yes, I know. You'll be leaving later and yet you miss me already. " She laughed.

"Can you go with us?"

"Alex, you know I can't. You know my condition right now, and it's dangerous for me out there. For you as well, so be careful, okay? "

"I will. Please take care of yourself while I'm away, mother." I held her hands.

"I will, of course. Greer and James are here; you need not to worry, my child. " She smiled.

Rebekah came to us.

"Excuse me, your majesty, your highness."

"Bekah!" I greeted her. "Yes, Rebekah?" The Queen asked.

"Your highness, your carriage is ready." She said

"We are leaving already?" I asked.

"Yes, Alex, it's already noon." She laughed.

"Oh, you better go ahead, girls. You guys take care, okay? " The Queen smiled.

I hugged her and said, "I will miss you. I'll write to you as soon as I arrive. Take care. I love you, mother. "

"I love you too." She went with us inside the castle.

Rebekah and I left my mother to go inside our carriages.

I waved goodbye to them and left the castle with my ladies. It was a boring time onboard, so we chatted during our journey to Italy.

"Oh Belle, I can't wait to go to Italy! It's my first time! " Ana said.

"Same, Ana," Belle agreed.

"How about you, Anne?"

"What? Oh, I'm sorry, " Anne apologized.

"Hey, are you alright?" I asked her, and Belle said, "You need some water. I'll ask for a cup. "

"No, I'm fine," she said.

"I'm just... you know, Alex, you're getting married soon. " A tear dropped from her eye as she continued.

"Oh Anne, don't be so dramatic." Bekah said that made Anne laugh.

"It's just we're getting older and older like it's so fast. " She explained

"Aw, Annie," I said.

"Let's give her a hug. Shall we? " Ana said, so we hugged Antoinette.

"We still love you." We laughed at her.

After all the chitchat, we went to our assigned cabins so we could stay and sleep for awhile.
