I've been seeing Lord Darnley and Queen Mary interacting with one another ever since the Highland Games. It's good to see that they are starting to have something good between them. Though I know both of them have former lovers whom they both left for their arranged marriage, I can see that they are trying to have a connection with one another. I bet they are already sleeping in one bed. I should go ask my mother for an update.

As I walked down the hallway, it was a good thing I ran into my mother so I could catch up on what was going on with them.

"Mother! It's a good thing we ran into each other.I was about to go to your chambers. "

"Oh really? Why? What's the matter? I was supposed to go to the banquet hall. "

"Nothing important, but I shall walk with you to the banquet."

"Alex, what's your concern?" She asked while we were walking

"What's happening with the both of you? Is it good? Bad? Somehow good and bad? "

"Oh you! Is that the only thing you were supposed to tell me? I thought there was something wrong." She laughed.

"I told you that it wasn't important."

"We are fine. Things are getting great for the both of us. " She smiled.

"Are you already sleeping with him?"

"Uhh no. But things do get steamy sometimes. " She smirked

"Oh my god! Mother! Don't fill me with details. That would be weird "I laughed as she giggled

"Of course, I won't be silly! I should keep that to myself. " She winked at me.

Before arriving at the banquet hall, I asked her why she was going there. She said she was hungry. Well, I was hungry too, so it is a good thing I walked with her. We walked in there with a table full of delicious cuisine and Lord Darnley waiting for her. She was shocked because she didn't know that he would do such a thing for her like this. Neither do I.

Lord Darnley welcomed us to the table as he explained why he had pulled this surprise. Should I stay or leave so that they can have time on their own?

"Uhm, thank you, Lord Darnley, but I should leave both of you." I smirked at them, but he insisted that I should stay.

"No, it's okay. You're really part of this. This is for all of us, and you're part of this family. " I smiled and nodded

I looked at my mother and was able to communicate through our eyes. I think that he'll be good to us in the future. I guess there is something soft in him as long as his desire won't meddle and top his kindness with his crazy amibitions. I do believe that he can change.

We just ate and had a great talk about their relationship and our plans to go to Scotland, which went well. He said that we should go and that he'd be okay staying here with the help of Uncle James. If they bond, that'll be good for us.

After eating, I decided to help my mother pack her things for our voyage.

"You know, Alex, I'm actually glad that we'll be going to France. I spent half my life there. France will always be part of me. " I smiled as she continued what she was saying.

"I'm also happy that you love France too, and that you're also thinking about your responsibilities there as a successor to the French throne. I really love seeing your loyalty and appreciation for your country. " She added.

"Of course, mother. I will always treasure my time and memories back in France. Just like you, I grew up there. I am also thankful that there are still people loving and taking care of me whenever I am there. I appreciate their loyalty to our family." She suddenly hugged me.

"I am so thankful to have you as my daughter. You're my life. My love, definitely my best friend and advisor, you're the greatest gift I have ever received besides your father." She said

"I am certainly thankful as well, mother. You're the light of my life. You are, without a doubt, an inspiration for my achievements. I will always be here for you." I smiled.
