I can see my mother being very happy with him. They laughed at each other. They even danced gracefully. It's been awhile since I saw my mother that happy with a man.
Uncle James looked at me, signaling for me to follow him, so I nodded and followed.

As I checked around the hall, I saw Lord Darnley staring at my mother with Lord Blackburn. He seemed to be thinking about leaving when he saw them dancing. Seconds later, he left his mother at the party.

My uncle went to my mother to tell her that, but it's too late because Lord Darnley has already left the party, but his mother is here.
