Gaia grew up for the first 18 years of her life in Ancient Greece with her father and mother. They lived a humble life, well as humble as you can in those days. Unfortunately, sickness took her mother from her soon after turning 18 and then her father disappeared a couple of days after. Most people would think that she would be married and have children by this age but thankfully her mother didn't want her child to marry for anything less than love. When her father came back, he had bright crimson eyes and said he didn't want to live eternally without her so, with her consent, he changed her mere days after turning her eternal age.
Marcus and Gaia found Aro once she was fully turned and they created the Volturi. Now, most of the guard think she useless but as a Volturi princess, they couldn't do much. When Marcus found Didyme, Gaia couldn't be happier and thankfully their personalities were a perfect match. Most people actually assumed Didyme was Gaia's birth mother with how similar they were.

When Didyme was killed the only thing that kept Marcus afloat was and still is his darling daughter. The three kings allow her to stand to his right on the Dias all throughout the trials as most people are hesitant to attack around her happy aura. Many of the guard joke about her happy aura being her third and hidden gift.
