《Pantala High School》Cricket 9

When Cricket got home that night, she ran upstairs, closing the door and squealed all her excited happiness out. She kissed Blue! He liked her! He fought Bombardier for her!

Was this how the protagonists felt when they confessed their love? Was she acting really silly?

She changed out of her dress, still stained slightly by the fruit punch. Oh the memories this dress will hold forever. She sat down at her desk and wrote every perfect detail of last night down before she forgot anything. She filled three pages with her story in no time at all, and titled it "The Pantala High Dance to End all Dances".

"This would make a pretty good book." Cricket said to herself.

Cricket remembered when she first met Blue, how he said he liked how she talked and how he stood up for her when Bombardier was a jerk. She couldn't wait to see him again on Monday.

Cricket sat next to Blue for what felt like the first time at lunch. Sundew and Willow sat across from them, Sundew had a satisfied smirk on her face, but Cricket didn't care. She was too happy to let anything bother her.

"I can't believe it took you guys so long to get together." Sundew shook her head. "It just baffles me how you couldn't tell the other felt the same."

"Wait, you did?" Cricket asked. "For both of us?"

Sundew laughed. "You guys both talked to me about the other. I had to bite my tongue so hard." Sundew must've seen the looks on Blue and Cricket's faces because she laughed harder.

"Well, at least we can ship Blicket now. Not that we didn't before, it's just canon now." Willow smiled.

"Blicket? Canon?" Blue asked.

"Canon means official." Cricket explained.

"And Blicket is you two!" Sundew grinned again. "Blue and Cricket makes Blicket."

"Well, does that make you guys Sunlow?" Cricket asked wryly. Sundew reddened slightly and Willow smiled.

"Yeah, probably. It's better than Wildew." Willow chirped in amusement.

"And Blicket is better than Crue." Cricket laughed.

This was how things were supposed to be. No bullies, no drama, no barriers. Just real, authentic friendship from some of her favourite people. What could be better than this?
