Author's note: So I made a major screw up and accidentally deleted this chapter during the process of organising this whole story.

So I had to speed write this and try to fix it with the notes I had and from what I remembered.

The group of players made their way through the town as they all walked together towards the carnival that was being hosted.

The sun was setting as dozens of lights dazzled across the whole atmosphere. The sound of people talking to each other, and the noise of heavy machinery were dominating the area.

Everyone had already walked into the carnival, while Adrian hung back with Brody.

Adrian took in the sight and was amazed by the Ferris wheel in the distance. "I love carnivals, my parents used to take me to them all the time. We always had so much fun together."

Brody smiled softly at hearing Adrian's childhood life. "So, where do you want to go first?"

Adrian's eyes beamed when he saw the petting zoo at a close distance. If he didn't hear the sound of the animals in the background, then he could certainly smell it.

"There." Adrian said as he pointed towards the petting zoo.

Paying to get inside, the first animal they stopped at was a baby goat in the small pen. Adrian immediately crouched down by the gate as the cute little animal approached him. Adrian held his hand out to feed the baby creature, smiling in glee as she ate from his hand.

Brody admired the sight in front of him, taking a picture on his phone just as Adrian smiled when the baby goat licked his bare hand.

Brody continued to look around the tent and his vision landed on the cutest baby giraffe that Brody has ever seen. Brody immediately reached out to pet its mane, hoping that he could get close enough and scare him away.

Adrian soon joined Brody by his side and reached out to feed the giraffe. His eyes lightened up when the giraffe ate from his hand and he couldn't help but smile at the baby animal.

Adrian didn't miss the way that Brody was looking at him softly, blushing a faint shade of pink at the attention. "What?"

"Nothing, just enjoying the scene in front of me."

"Come on, let's play some games." Adrian said as he led the path to the first game nearby.

At the booth, all they had to do was knock down the pyramid stack of cans with the beanbags they were given. It was seemingly easy at first, but Brody was proven wrong when he failed to knock them all down.

"Yes!" Adrian cheered as all of his cans tumbled down together. Collecting his prize, Adrian picked out the soft blue monkey and began to cuddle with it the second it was in his arms.

"Okay so you win this round, let's go to the ring toss next." Brody said.

The ring toss booth was right next to the stack of cans, so the journey was short. Adrian put his new mascot down as he was handed 3 rings first. Brody watched as Adrian failed to get the rings around the bottle, the clinking sound of the rings against the bottles were antagonising him at his failure to win the game.

"This game is rigged!" Adrian pouted. "It's not fair."

Brody laughed at Adrian's poor excuse, finding Adrian's little sulking moment amusing and cute at the same time.

It was now Brody's turn at the game as he handed over some cash in exchange for the 3 rings. Brody was focused as his laser like vision honed in on getting the perfect angle to land the rings around the bottle neck. One by one Brody tossed them all with relative ease. Brody celebrated his victory as a baby pink octopus plushie was now by his side.

The next game that the boys travelled to involved using a water gun to fill up a balloon in the clown's mouth. By making the balloon burst, they would be victorious and would therefore win a prize.

Adrian and Brody stood side by side as they picked up the water gun from the holster. They waited for their signal and began firing at the cue, competing for the grey rabbit teddy.

As the game went on, it was a losing battle for Brody as Adrian's balloon was already about to burst. Sensing the impending defeat, Brody decided to fool around and turned his gun towards Adrian's face.

"Brody!" Adrian yelled, cold water blasting on his face as he shrieked away from it.

Brody continued to manically laugh as the water was dripping from his face. Adrian was persistent in aiming the gun at the balloon, his competitive nature still wanting him to win the mini game.

The sound of the balloon popping stopped any more water from coming out of the guns. Adrian turned to Brody and gave him a menacing glare, with Brody not feeling the slightest bit of guilt behind his playful and childish antics.

Adrian's upper half was wet with cold water, his clothes soaked in the process as they began to cling onto his skin.

"Sorry, I couldn't resist." Brody confessed.

"You jerk! It's freezing cold!" Adrian laughed.

Because they were hungry, Adrian and Brody went to the food stand and bought some food together. Taking a seat with their hot dogs and soda, the boys were getting to know each other more as they sat around one of the empty tables.

"What's your favourite thing you like to cook?" Adrian asked in between his sips of his soda.

Brody thought deeply about the dish he enjoyed cooking the most. "I would probably have to go with grilled salmon, potatoes and asparagus."

Adrian was left impressed at the regal and elegant meal. "Fancy, not something I would imagine someone like you cooking."

Brody laughed as a response. "I'm just full of surprises."

Brody took another bite from his hot dog when he asked Adrian about his favourite dish to cook. "I think I'm better at cooking breakfasts. My go to food would probably be blueberry pancakes. Not the thin ones but those really thick and delicious ones."

"You have to cook them for me one morning then." Brody smiled as he cheekily winked at Adrian.

Adrian was interrupted from choking on air when Adam and Callum joined the table, carrying their burgers with them.

"Hey guys." Callum greeted them before he started eating his food.

Adam took a second look at Adrian's appearance and noticed the massive wet patch on him. He was about to ask what happened when Adrian silently glared at a laughing Brody, making Adam understand who was to blame for it.

"Where are you guys going next?" Brody asked once he stopped making fun of Adrian.

Adam replied, "We were all going to head towards the strongman contest. You guys want to come as well?"

Adrian looked at Brody who shrugged, and then nodded. "It will be fun."

"Yeah, let's finish this and then go."

~~~~~~~~~~~~
A crowd was gathered round the tent as one by one, everyone took their turns at swinging the hammer and hitting the bell.
Adrian grunted as he hit the machine with all of his might. The crowd watched the dinger rise up and fail to make the bell ring. "Damn."
Brody was the next one to step up to the plate. He took of his jacket to gain better motion to play the game, and threw his jacket towards Adrian. His bulging arms were in full display because of the tight shirt, and Adrian was secretly admiring the view from a distance.
Adam did a wolf whistle at the stripping Brody, which seemed to earn a laugh from the crowd.
Brody grabbed the hammer with both of his hands, taking a deep breath as he was psyching himself up in his head. And soon enough, he struck the machine and watched it go all the way up.
The sound of the bell chiming rang amongst the crowd as everyone cheered at Brody's victory. Brody was humble as he bowed at everyone who was congratulating him.
Brody was given a large white teddy bear as a prize for being the only one to win from the crowd. Brody made the bear sit on his shoulders as he then walked out of the spotlight.
After grabbing their belongings, Adrian walked with Brody away from the crowd and continued spending the rest of their night together.
~~~~~~~~~~~

Adrian and Brody were now standing in line for the Ferris wheel, deciding that it would be the last thing they did tonight. As they got to the front, they placed all of their belongings inside the machine booth as they strapped themselves into the ride.

As the wheel began to spin, they were lifted up from the ground as they gazed at the view in front of them.

All of the lights from the carnival glowed in the darkness that was the night sky. The music was loud in the background, the smell of hot food still wafted through the area and people were still enjoying themselves.

Adrian was mesmerised by the view, basking in the atmosphere as he enjoyed all of it. Brody wanted to capture the moment so he took his phone out. "Let's take a picture together."

Brody moved his arm around Adrian's shoulder as they moved closer together. Posing for the camera, both of them smiled into camera as they rubbed their shoulders together.

Brody then admired the picture that was just taken, clear as day at how both of them were so happy in the moment.

No more words were spoken as they savoured the rest of the ride, enjoying each other's company as if no one else but each other existed.
