《In The Eye of Her Storm // Klaus Mikaelson》Eleven

There are things i never expected to do in my life time, even if i had all the time in the world. One of those rare things happened to be a senior prank night. I had never attended school and so this little activity was new on all levels for me. Caroline however, had demanded that i come. I delayed it as much as i could, pushing at the time until she rang me.
That was around ten minutes ago. Now i pulled up to the school with less than a happy smile, ready for whatever job she would have ready for me. Oh the joy if it all.
Although as i prowled into the school i didn't expect to hear what i did.
"Where's Tyler?" Carolines groans were unmistakable as i rounded the corner to see her on the floor another blonde leant against the lockers on her phone.
"He's dead-ish." The woman responded nonchalantly, i placed my hands in my pockets as i took in the scene. Carolines current boy toy laid a few feet away from her but he did not seem to be waking up.
"Having a nap, when he wakes up he will be a hybrid." She continued as Caroline crawled to him, turning him on his back. It looked as though the blonde found something on her phone that she didn't like as she quickly stomped to Caroline.
"Why is that doppelganger bitch wearing my necklace?!" I took that moments to walk down the hall, eyes alight with amusement at her anger. Caroline looked to me swiftly, eyes lessening in worry.
"Prank night is going well I see?" I mused.
"Who are you?" The other blonde turned gripping the phone tightly in her grasp. I ignored her focusing on Caroline.
"Bonnie? Elena?" I asked.
"I left them in a class room...." She told me as she slung closer to Tyler. I nodded finally giving my attention to the other girl.

"You hurt her and i kill you." I smiled mockingly, she didn't seem phased by it.
"You must be Eris then." She deadpanned.
"I'm Rebekah." I hummed at her, nodding in acknowledgement.
"Feel free to test me on my promise Rebekah." I stated calmly turning with a nod to Caroline. I made my way through the halls like i had the night of the dance, searching for any of the two girls that i needed to find. Of course the night we needed him, Damon was no-where to be found.
As selfish as it may be, i needed Bonnie alive so she was the first that i found.
"Is all well little witch?" I asked as i entered the room, she looked to me with a small smile.
"Hey! I didn't think you would come. Everything is okay so far." She assured as i smiled back at her.
"Thankfully i came, be on the look out tonight." She swallowed slowly, informing me she had already spoken with Klaus.
"He wants me to find a solution." She told me softly, i nodded back.
"For now, stay with Matt. I'll find Elena." I closed the door softly behind me as i continued my hunt, it didn't take long however as a pained scream i knew all to well rang out. I followed the sound entering the gym in a gust of wind, knocking the antagoniser back with one harsh blow.
Rebekah was sent hurtling back, mouth bloodied as i moved to Elena. She covered her wound with her hand as my canines began to show with agitation. I separated her from the three other vampires as i glared heavily at all of them, lingering longer on Stefan.
"Why are you just stood there you coward." I seethed hauling Elena up.
"I don't have her necklace, im telling the truth Katherine stole it." Over a necklace? How pathetic. I rightfully avoided a certain gaze, choosing to keep my place by the doppelgangers side.

"Katerina of course, its a shame it would have made things a whole lot easier for your witch but since we are doing this the hard way lets put a clock on it shall we? 20 minutes!" The buzzer sounded as he made his way to Stefan.
"20 minutes and if Bonnie has not found a solution i want you to feed again but this time i want you to feed on Elena. You know you want to." He had been compelled then if he was going to take these orders without a fight.
"Eris, please help him." Elena begged latching onto my arm, the movement had been to fast however as someone took it upon themselves to separate us. At his closeness i could not avoid his eye line, so i took it in stride looking to him with nothing but my scowl of hatred.
"That is the question isn't it love? Are you willing to kill Stefan in order to save Elena?" Klaus's smirk was nothing but amused.
"Don't tempt me." I bit.
"If she tries to leave fracture her spine." Klaus ordered Stefan despite never looking away from me.
"I think its time for our chat." I hummed a condescending tone as he wisped us away from the gym. As soon as we stopped i relieved my self from his grip, glancing around an unfamilar classroom. I took it upon myself to sit at the farthest desk as he leant against the teachers table top.
The silence didn't last long.
"I have a vague idea of what happened the night of my ritual." Klaus began as my eyes drifted disinterestedly to the window.
"My witches have a few theories, some I've dismissed and others that have intrigued me." Still in the dark then, i laughed lowly crossing my legs under the desk.
"You want answers? Is that why you waste your precious time interrogating me rather then solving your own problems?" I mused as he remained composed.
"At this moment you are my problem, the pain you cause me is a set back and i can't have it interfering anymore." As if we didn't share the burden of it.
"You speak as if i don't suffer through it as well." I rolled my eyes.
"I know you know what this is, therefore you must know a way to stop it." Not one i was willing to share.
"I don't so deal with it." As i made a move to stand he made one to block the exit.
"There are a few things that have become clear to me, one is that we can't be apart and the other which my old friend Gloria confirmed is that we are linked. Should one die the other will to." I tapped the desk top as he continued.
"Meaning whatever you are, you no longer pose a threat to me." At the insult my teeth bared.
"But your pretty little blonde friend can still lay bare to my torment." I threatened as he tutted.
"Should all go to plan you and my sister won't be in the vicinity of each other. I will find out what links us Eris and i will control it." His words were a promise filled with malice but i only shuck with blatant amusement.
"You have no hope in controlling it, to do so would be a miracle." I stood then walking to the door despite his never moving presence, i dared him to try and stop me. Which he did not, moving aside and allowing me out.

The Good Crash: An Oral History of the Post-Scarcity Collapse
"Don't we all feel, deep down, that we deserve the apocalypse?" APRIL, 2028—Global capitalism has collapsed. America has sealed itself off from the outside world, and inside its borders, a revolution rages. All it took was one incredible little machine. That machine turned into two, then four, then eight... like a virus, the replicators spread. As a work of oral history, The Good Crash features over 50 interviews with key witnesses to the events of 2027. The text is rendered in the words used by the interviewees themselves, with light editing for clarity and concision. As such, the book contains language and themes that are not appropriate for children.By capturing the voices to the people at the very root of the revolution, journalist and historian R. Vondersnitch has traced the origins and aftermath of the replicators' rapid spread. Crucially, the book also includes perspectives and testimony from those who attempted to stop the spread of the reps. "Some of these are heroes, too, in their own ways," the author writes in the book's introductory note.

The Orb Weaver Chronicles
"The Orb Weaver Chronicles contains several major and unique events that may or may not unknowingly intertwines with one another. The author of these chronicles is unknown, although some have hinted at the symbolism behind its name..." - Year unknown, location unknown 9 February 2022 Update: Welcome to the companion short story compilation of my novel trilogy The Shadow Paradigm. This compilation features prequels, sidequels and sequels to the novel's major plotline, as well as featuring a wide range of characters, new and recurring. Prior knowledge of the novel is not necessary as the Orb Weaver Chronicles' short stories are standalone. Once called The Arkesyyan Chronicles, I've deleted quite a few of its old stories. Due to the new avenue and revision, oriented toward more mystery and film-noir ambience, that I took my stories into, I've removed all aliens and overly sci-fi aspects of the whole TSP lineup, so I've updated the Orb Weaver Chronicles accordingly. I hope you enjoy them, and in time, a revised version will also be updated.

The Errant Otherworlder Watanabe
“In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death, taxes and trucks whom transport men to other worlds.” Meet our titular protagonist Haruto Watanabe, a man who has all the markings of a good protagonist for a generic portal fantasy story. As an overworked office worker, to escape from the grips of crippling capitalist alienation, he had taken up to reading many stories where young men like him were transported to other worlds and enjoyed their lives at a most leisurely pace. Armed with genre-awareness and (what he believes to be) a marketable personality which would make him an easy audience self-insert, he longed for the day the isekai express would take him to his long-awaited adventure to another world. When the fateful day came, where the fair yet harsh mistress that is the fabled truck took Watanabe on one last date to the other side, he was most ready to escape his previous life, ready to embark on an errant so great he’d be most overpowered, his heroics so exceptional and his harem so vast that they would barely fit ten or twenty volumes of an overly long novel made by a desperate author looking for quick cash. Lo and behold however, Watanabe instead found himself in a low fantasy world which lacked severely in the department of any game-like systems, cheat skills or easily charmed damsels in distress. In a setting so antithetical to his established genre savviness or any attempts at power fantasy, how will a man like Watanabe, lacking in strength, wits and courage, manage to survive in a land most foreign to him? This is my first time trying to share to the wider world what I’ve written, and I hope you’ll enjoy reading the errantry of Watanabe as much as I enjoy writing about them. I'll be posting one chapter per week on Sundays, along with extra chapters whenever I get the chance to write more than usual.
