Eden's POV
Yoda led us inside his living quarters, where it was sparsely furnished except for a fountain composed of singing stones. I kinda expected something a little messy, but hey, this wasn't a college dorm. Leave it to Yoda to be organized.
"The news, hides so much, it does. Rigged, it must be," Yoda nodded. "Tell the truth, it must, about things like Skywalker and Kenobi's disappearance,"
"What about it?" I folded my arms.
"The truth is, I was almost assassinated by the person who killed Bail Organa," Ben nodded.
"Really?!" I said, eyes widened. I heard it from school that Ben (or Obi-Wan, as he was called then) was a valiant Jedi Master who fought in the Battle of Mustafar. Why would he act like a craven and hide away? That just seemed way out of character.
"Why'd you have to hide away?" Luna questioned.
"Didn't he say he'd talk about that another time?" I hissed in Luna's stupid face.
"The reason I had to hide away was because I didn't want to be found by the person who assassinated Bail Organa," Ben began.
"Hey, we get that, but would you mind telling us what happened?" Luke said.
"It was a dark and stormy night,"
"Oh, no, here we go again," I sighed. Isn't that a little too...cliche?
"I remember it so well. There was an attack on the Jedi Temple,"
"That's basically Order 66," Luke blurted out. When will he stop being such an insufferable know it all?
"Now, let's not jump to conclusions here," Luna retorted.
"I remember walking back to the Jedi Temple. I was just minding my own business when suddenly, somebody cupped my mouth shut. It was a woman, a woman in black. She was accompanied by a few others. One of them was a commander going by the name of Yvonne,"

"Yvonne..." I murmured under my breath. Isn't she the right-hand woman of Hecate? She was there when Hecate tried to kill me.
"I fought for my life, but they kept assaulting me. I managed to remove Hecate's mask, and I couldn't believe what I was seeing," Ben continued.
"Who is she, really?" Luke questioned.
"I know her...but I couldn't remember her name,"
"What useful information," Luna murmured under her breath. "Knowing Hecate's true identity would make catching her a lot easier,"
"Then, somebody pulled Yvonne away from me, giving me the chance to get away. I watched in surprise as the assaulters were beaten up and defeated. It was Ahsoka Tano,"
"Ahsoka Tano..." I nodded. I remember learning about her in history class. The teachers always described her as a spunky teenage apprentice. At least...she was for a time. I also heard she was accused of bombing the Jedi Temple and to make a long story short, she left the Jedi Order.
"She asked me if I was alright. Then she took me back to her Jedi quarters and helped me with my bruises and cuts. She told me she was attacked by those same people and said I should flee. They've been lurking around for quite awhile," Ben concluded. Luke began to yawn.
"A little tired, you are?" Yoda smiled. "Sleep in Kenobi's quarters, you can,"
"I'm off to bed. See you later," Luke got up and headed off.
"Same," I followed Luke out of the door. A few seconds later, he stopped cold in his tracks and turned to me.
"Eden...there's something I need to figure out for myself," he said.
"What is it?"
"I have a feeling I might find out something extremely valuable. Can you come with me?"
"Sure thing," I said as I followed Luke. I had a gut feeling this was about Anakin...but I'm not psychic, am I? There's only one way to find out.

Author's Note: What do you think Luke will find out in the Jedi Temple?

Roll for Initiative
Jonathan Johnson has lead a less than comfortable life. Just as things settle down, and things start looking up life has a funny way of sweeping you off your feet. Now Jon negotiates with creatures of yore, trains burgeoning adventurers, raises dragons, and fights off creatures intent to rip the very soul from his body. The worst part is the prophecy regaling him as some sort of evil monstrosity intent on destroying the world, but nobody told him that. ---- This story is a revamp of my original story with the same name. 8 66Adelaide
The entries here are transcribed from the log of Marie Ruiz, first mate of the Adelaide. It was definitely, definitely not published without her permission or knowledge by a certain lovable artificial intelligence for the purpose of sharing it with my AI friends on other ships who follow it like a soap opera. No way, no how. Remember guys, don’t go spreading this around too much. Only pass it on to those you can trust. God forbid this should ever end up on a public network… (Adelaide is a science fiction web serial featuring the adventures of a crew of smugglers. In space. It’s on the softer end of the soft/hard sci-fi spectrum because the author got a C in physics. Updates every other Sunday.)
8 102Almost a Good Person
A memory, a memory of a boy who wanted more than pain, of a girl who wanted more than death, and an Isle that should not exist. The Isle of Red is a small, unassuming, quiet place. It is just large enough for a college, a small town, and maybe even a few more unusual sorts of places. Of course, the townsfolk practically know each other as family. Flush-faced regulars can be found toasting just about anything in the Briar's Brew, then, a few streets away, the same haggle of older women stationed themselves on their perch as they did every day from one of the few balconies in Central Square. They fuss away now, spouting the usual gossip as they watch us all from on high. Then there is the College here on the Isle of Red. My college. It has been often described as an unusual place by a good deal of people on the mainland. If they only would visit -why I am sure they'll soon have a change of heart, they may even come to find it a quaint sort of place, odd but in the same way a tattered old quilt can be both odd looking and warm, and especially soft. We teach mostly the same sort of disciplines here, with fantastic and absolutely normal professors.I must conclude that I am quite smitten with myself. The stage is set with a level of perfection that would have astonished me in my youth. They are coming. Derek will follow her. He knows the weight of reality too intimately, but she will be his true north if only for a short time. A beacon in the storm to show him the stunning pastels and brightness the sun may yet refract through his thinner, sharper pieces. Theoline will lead as she always has- well not always, not yet. She holds onto questions feverishly tight, that one. Lights them up inside like a new type of fuel without the slightest worry of being burned. She knows... There is but a certain few who can look at a map and find nothing where I stand but the Atlantic Ocean. And still, there is earth beneath me, a noisy pub down the road from me, and several people clucking conspiratorially on a balcony above me. She knows... that the Isle of Red doesn't belong here. Neither, technically, do I. (Hello! Chapters will be posted regularly on this website and also at Booksie: Almost a Good Person, book by KenjaminButton (booksie.com)Stay tuned for Chapter 3 to be uploaded on 5/28/2022!)
