《The Beginning of the Age of Heroes》Chapter 16

Everyone from the ship was now set up with a place to live for the time being. The team was trying to find a way to help all of these people off of the island before the League of Assassins showed up to take them for the rest of their training. They knew that if these people were still here when the League arrived, it would be a possibility that all of them would be killed, and for the most part these people were good people and didn't deserve to die.
"I was thinking that we need to find a way to get these people off the island before the League arrives to take us for our training. Do you guys have any ideas on that?" Oliver asked.
"We can probably put them on the submarine and send them on their way. We just need to make sure that it still works and can move." Barry said.
"That is a good idea, Barry. What do we need to do in order for this to work?" Laurel asked.
"First we need to make sure that everything is working and then we will need to check the hull to make sure there aren't any cracks or holes. It would be bad to send them off on a sinking sub." Barry said.
"I can go and check that out. The rest of you check and make sure that the sub is in working condition." Kara said as the group headed for the sub.
. . .
Thirty minutes later the team arrived at the sub and everyone got on board except for Kara who swam around the sub and then under it to see if there were any problems with the sub. The people who were inside found that everything was able to go. Now they just needed to see what Kara found out.

Kara entered the sub and everyone looked at her. "So, what did you find out?" Oliver asked.
"The sub is in great shape. The only problem I saw was that the ship was trapped on a stone ledge. I can take care of that. I just wanted to give you all an update first." Kara said.
"Go take care of it. Everything works just fine here. We will go and get the other people and lead them back here so that we can get them out of here." Laurel said as she and Sara left to get the survivors of the amazo.
. . .
"So, what's on your mind sis? You look like you are deep in thought." Laurel said.
"I am just thinking about Shado. In a way I hope that she leaves because then I know that she will be safe. On the other hand, I want her to stay here with me." Sara said.
"Well, give her the two options and whatever she decides you will just have to live with it." Laurel said.
"You are right. It is not my decision to make. I will give her the options and what she decides will be on her." Sara said and Laurel nodded.
Soon they arrived at the camp and started to gather all the people together so that they could give them the news that they would get off of the island today. "Everyone gather around." Laurel called out to everyone. "We have found a way to get everyone off of the island. Come with us and we will lead you there."
"So, how long have you known about the way to get off of this island?" Anatoly asked.
"We have known about the sub for a while, but we just found out that it would run and that it was safe to use. If you want to get off this island you need to come with us now." Sara said and Anatoly and the others nodded as they got ready to follow Sara and Laurel back to the sub.

Shado walked up to Sara and asked, "Why does it sound like your little group won't be leaving with the rest of the people here?"
"Because we aren't. We need to stay for a reason that I can't tell you right now. I wish I could, but I can't." Sara said
"I understand, but I hope you know that I am going to stay with you." Shado said.
"I can't ask you to stay here." Sara said.
"I know, and you didn't ask me to stay. I decided to do that on my own." Shado said.
"If that is what you want I won't try to change your mind. Just know that we will be in danger the whole time we are here, just like we have been so far while we have been here." Sara said and Shado nodded.
"I am willing to take that chance to be with you." Shado said.
"Well, what do you think that your father will do?" Sara asked.
"I am not sure. I hope that he goes home, but I don't know that he will be welcome there." Shado said.
"Yeah, you might be right. Let's head for the sub." Sara said and everyone followed to the sub.
. . .
Now that everyone was at the sub, people started to board so that they could make their way home. There was only one real problem. They didn't know if anyone could drive the sub.
"Is there anyone here who would be able to drive this sub?" Oliver asked.
"I have driven one before." Anatoly said.
"Good. Once my friends and I leave the sub, get these people to safety." Oliver said.
"What about you and your friends?" Anatoly asked.
"We have to stay here. I can't explain why, but just know that it is for a good reason." Oliver said.
"I do trust you my friend. If you are ever in Russia and need something, don't hesitate to come and find me. I owe you for getting me off of that ship." Anatoly said and Oliver nodded and shook the man's hand.
"I will see you around Anatoly." Oliver said as they left the ship while also being joined by Shado. Yeo Fei decided to go home and find Mai, his other daughter, and make sure that she was ok.
"Well, at least we got them all out of here before the League of Assassins arrived to take us in." Laurel said and the rest of the group nodded and they went back to their camp.
