that night, the two were cuddling in their bed, jungkook whining every now and then about him missing his dad and taehyung reassuring him that his father will only be gone for three days.

"but three days is too long." jungkook whined again. "are you saying you would give me a two days honeymoon?" taehyung asked before realising what he said and sitting up straight, "not that i think we'll get married or anything. no- i mean soon not never- i meant like i-"

taehyung's words were cut by jungkook chuckling, "shut up, you're adorable."

taehyung looked at him confused, "that's all you're gonna say?"

"what else do you want me to say? propose maybe?" jungkook joked but taehyung hit him on the chest lightly, "shut up, i'm embarrassed enough."

jungkook sat up and hugged the older's back, "you're cute when you're embarrassed. but you know something?"

taehyung hummed for him to continue, "i want to spend a really long time with you, till we're old and wrinkly, because i love you and i can't even imagine a day without you anymore."

"i want just that too." taehyung smiled softly at the younger who smiled back, "one day i'm gonna marry you, kim taehyung."

taehyung giggled, "you cannot marry me here." he stated with a sad chuckle, which was true, due to the stupid laws against gay marriage.

"who said i need a stupid paper to marry you? bullshit. i'll propose, we'll have a party with friends and family and by the end of the day you'll be my husband. fuck stupid papers. we'll also go on a long ass honeymoon." jungkook said.

he smiled when the sound of taehyung's laugh hit his ears, "who said you will propose? maybe i will."

jungkook held his heart dramatically, "shit, now i'm excited to see who'll win."

"not everything is a competition baby." taehyung replied before pecking his boyfriend's cheek.

they then faced each other, taehyung caressing the younger's cheek, "i'm sorry by the way." he apologised which confused jungkook, "why are you apologising baby?"

"because you had to hear what your aunt said, and i feel like it's my fault. maybe if i wasn't there she wouldn't have said that." taehyung explained to jungkook who shook his head before kissing taehyung's palm that was on his cheek and taking it in his hands, "not every bad thing that happens is your fault baby, she's always like that, tonight might've been the nicest she's ever been to me since i came out."

"i don't understand why people can't just accept others. every one of us is different and it shouldn't matter. especially who we love, why does it have to matter? why can't i love you in peace like straight couples love each other? why do they need laws against us like we're some criminals or something? the only thing i did was fall in love with you, a man, like me, and all of a sudden i'm treated like a monster, i hate that!"

jungkook felt every word spoken by the older, so he kissed his forehead and brought taehyung's head to rest against his chest, "i don't know why the world is like this, and i don't understand why some people think it's hard to accept love like ours. but i know one thing baby, i'll make it up to you. i'll make you forget about every hurtful word that had been sent your way. i'll make sure all you hear from now is love and love only. because that's what you deserve. i don't want you to think about anyone that thinks we're wrong, okay? i love you so much petal, and i don't like seeing you so down like this because of some dumb people, so now cheer up and give me one of your pretty smiles, cmon."

taehyung lifted his head and smiled at the younger, "your presence with me is the best gift i've received in my life, i love you." he closed his eyes when jungkook kissed him and kissed the other back.
