《35.》Chapter 2

three days after their first meeting, taehyung and jungkook were sitting on the same bench side by side chatting casually.

"so singing isn't your job?" jungkook asked, "no, i used to own a small pastry shop back in my home town, and a new one will be opened here in two days." taehyung replied.

"ohh! then you'll definitely need some employees, right?" jungkook asked, excited. taehyung laughed a little at how excited the other seemed, "let me guess, you're looking for a job?" taehyung asked back.

jungkook shyly scratched the back of his neck and nodded, "yeah, i'm looking for a job to help my dad, i don't want him to work two jobs anymore."

"oh, you live with your dad?" he asked and jungkook nodded, "how old are you?"

"i'm 25." he replied, and taehyung just stared at him.

"i know what you're thinking. and no, i don't go to college and i'm not a graduate, pretty much why no one will hire me. i never knew you needed a diploma to sit on the cashier or something." jungkook said sarcastically, no one agreed to give him a job because he never went to college, even the simplest jobs didn't want him and he hated that, he hated feeling like he wasn't enough.

"i'm not judging you here, you know? you know what pastries are, don't you?" taehyung asked and jungkook scoffed, "of course i do, i'm not a baby."

"you kinda are actually." taehyung said amused leaving jungkook to scoff again, "a baby? i might just be older than you, actually."

taehyung lauged at that, "i'm definitely older than you, kid." jungkook looked at him, "how old are you then?" he asked.

"i'm 35."

"now you're just lying to prove i'm a kid." jungkook said, refusing to believe. there was no way taehyung was that older than him, he looked so young.

"i'm totally 35, jungkook. i'm not lying. and if you know what pastries are then i think i can give you a job. i need an employee after all."

jungkook forgot about the age talk and smiled widely, teeth on display, "really? you'll give me a job?"

"sure, unless you're a murderer." taehyung replied.

"thank you so much! you don't know how much this means to me!" jungkook was so thankful, he can finally help his dad.

taehyung smiled in response before saying, "everything should be ready in two days and you'll start working then." taehyung handed the other his phone, "put your number in, i'll call you before work." and jungkook did just that.

"does that mean i won't see you till then?" jungkook asked feeling a bit sad, he really enjoyed being with the guy.

"we'll see how things go. i might be busy with preparations for the cafe." taehyung replied. "i can help with the preparations too." jungkook said excitedly again.

"i'll call you, kid." oh how jungkook hated taehyung calling him a kid, but he smiled anyways, the latter will be his boss soon anyways, and you can't beat your boss -kinda crush- up because that's just dumb.

later that day, jungkook was laying in his bed happily. after he starts working his dad won't have to work all day and be gone all night too. they can finally hang out together more, and he couldn't wait for that.
