Jayda's POV 💜•

I woke up at 6:00 in the fucking morning to make sure we all got where we needed to be on time. Jayden's alarm usually goes off at around 6:30 so Imma let him get his extra 30 minutes.

I used my alone time to get myself together. I struggled a little bit falling asleep last night without Dave, so ya girl got dark circles. I did a natural beat but I didnt have to rush. I was putting on my lash when I heard Jayden's loud ass alarm go off. I made sure my makeup was right and I sprayed my face with setting spray.

Now time to pick out Xela's outfit and pack her "school" bag. My baby starts preschool in a couple months and Im not ready. I put in some extra panties and some leggings and a jacket. Its supposed to be kinda cold today but LA weather is weird as fuck. I checked the time and it was only 6:37 and we leave at 7:25 so I gotta get her dressed so she can eat something.

To be completely honest, most mornings I dress Xela while she still sleep. Its makes everything easier for both of us. I picked out a white shirt with a unicorn on it and paired it with a pair of black ripped jeans. I put her rainbow Vans on and NOW its time to wake her up. She usually pops awake but today was a little difficult. "Come on boo we gotta get up." She groaned and went in the bathroom sat herself on the toilet and peed. "See ya needed to wake up anyway." I made sure she wiped good and she washed her hands.

I took her bonnet off to make sure her hair looked good still. "Thank god." I whispered to myself. "Mommy?" I fixed her baby hairs. "Can I go to work wif you and Davey?" I started brushing her teeth. "You don't wanna go to school with Amaya?" Milan transferred Amaya to Xela's school when she noticed how close it was to us. "Nope, I wanna see Davey."

I finished brushing her teeth. "Xela you cant come today, you have to go to school, you'll have fun with Maya." She shook her head. "No Xela you gotta go, and thats the end of it." She pouted her bottom lip out and it started quivering. "Ugh, come on to eat breakfast. Jay you want a bagel?!" I yelled so that he could hear me. "Nah I'll eat later." He said back. I buttered up a cinnamon raisin bagel and put it in the toaster oven.

I checked the time and it was 6:54 and I still wasn't dressed. "Jay you done getting ready?" He came into ghe kitchen. "Yea..." "Ok watch Xela while I get dressed." I jogged to my room and picked out a quick outfit just a white turtleneck with a brown pencil skirt. I paired it with some clear heels, I grabbed my purse from the back of my door and went back in the kitchen to see Xela crying on the floor. "I swear I dont have time for this today." I said to myself.

Its time for us to leave and Xela is crying because I wont let her come to work with me. I texted Milan letting her know I cant take Amaya to school today.

"Jay can you grab her waffle please?" I picked her up and carried her out the door. She was crying on my shoulder while I walked to the elevator. We got in the elevator and went down to the parking structure and buckled Xela in the car. It was a little bit of a struggle because Xela's carseat is kinda bulky I was thinking about getting a bigger car though. I really want a Tesla and I heard they have a lot of space.

On the way to Jaydens school Xela knocked out. We made it to his school at 7:40. "Bye bubs have a good day." I kissed his cheek and he got out the car. "Bye wayda I love you." He hasnt called me that in a long time.

When he was little he couldnt say Jayda so he always called me Wayda which is why I use Jayda Wayda as all my social media names but he hasnt done it in a while. I didn't notice how much I missed it.

I drove out the schools parking lot and went to my job. Yes, Im taking Xela to work with me, but I dont have time for her to have another tantrum at her school to make me late. I made it to the office at 7:56 and got Xela out the car. I made sure I grabbed her bag, my purse and her iPad.

I walked to the entrance making sure I said good morning to everybody. I went up the elevator to the top floor. When I was walking from the elevator to Dave's office everybody was staring at me. "Im sorry, dont yall got shit to do?" I snapped. I went in Dave's office and he wasnt in there, "Mommy where's Davey?" I put her down so she can walk. "I dont know baby but lets go in my office so you can lay down." I took her into my office and she took her jacket and shoes off and laid on the small couch I have in there.

I clocked in and made me some coffee. I looked over at Xela and she was spinning in the empty space in my office. "Mommy can I go see Davey?" Right when she said that there was a knock in the door.

"Xela come sit next to me. Come in!" The door opened and it was Dave. He gasped and smiled. "Is that my Xela Bear?" She ran to him and he picked her up. All I could do in the moment is smile, the fact that Xela loves him so much must be a great sign.

I walked over to Dave. "Good morning Mr. Brewster." He pulled me into a hug while still holding Xela, "Good morning Mrs. Brewster." He pecked my lips and Xela fake gagged. "Eww Davey dont kiss my mommy!" He mugged her, "I can kiss her if I want to." He said back. "No you cant, thats nasty." She reached out for me to hold her. She laid her head inside my neck and stuck her tongue out at him and his childish ass did it back. "By the way, Its Ms. London until its a ring on this finger. I waved my ring finger in his face. "Dont worry it's gonna happen sooner or later." I rolled my eyes at his smirk.

"Im sorry I brought her today, this morning was hectic and she threw a tantrum and I was almost late leaving. I just-." He stopped me. "Shhh. You're fine. I love having her around." I smiled. "Thank you for understanding." I put her down and she sat on the couch. "Ok I have to work now, so get out." He faked being hurt, "You gonna talk to your boss like that? I can still fire you, you know?" I laughed. "Yea you can, buttttt you wont." He stood with a smirk. "And why is that?" "Because you love me too much." He had this weird smirk on his face. "Ahh you're right."

"Ok now for real I need to work, now get out." He groaned. "I guess I'll leave." He rolled his eyes and walked out.

I managed to finish what I needed to catch up on by my lunch break. "Mommy is it eat eat time?" She heard my alarm go off. "Yes ma'am." She sat on my lap, "Can Davey come?" "You have to ask him my love." She got off my lap and slipped her crocs on. "Come on mommy. We gotta go ask Davey." I grabbed my stuff and we walked out my office making sure to lock my doors because some of these hoes is trifling and will come in to steal.

Dave's POV 💙•

Why is this my life right now? My mother popped up at the office today, if yall dont know my mom is my world... but she doesnt know about Jayda yet. Well she knows about Jayda but not that she works for me. So I had her take the elevator that goes straight into my office instead of having her pass by Jayda.

"Hey ma." She hugged me super tight. "Hi my baby." We started talking about anything and everything. "So when are ya gonna settle down and give me another grand baby?" My mind immediately went to Jayda. "Um.. ma Im not thinking about kids right now." Shit im lying I think about having a baby with Jayda constantly. "Amaya isnt enough?" She shook her head. "Well if ya not thinking about kids when am I gonna meet the infamous Jayda?" If only she knew she was in the room next door. "Ma she actually-." I was cut off my my door opening.

Jayda's POV 💜•

We were going into Dave's office and Xela decided to start jumping and screaming before I opened the door. "Xela cut it out." I scolded her quietly.

Xela started acting weird when we walked in. She tried to hide behind my leg and she kept motioning for me to pick her up. "Xela you getting too heavy for this." I sighed and picked her up. When I situated her in my arms I finally looked up at Dave.

But it wasnt just Dave, it was an older woman with him. "Oh my, I am so sorry Mr. Brewster I didnt know there was a meeting today..." I feel like a dumbass. "Oh and Im sorry Mrs...?" She shot me a fake smile. "Mrs. Brewster." My eyes immediately widened and darted to Dave. "Mrs. Brewster, oh my god. I- um, well its nice to meet you, Im Jayda London, Dave's...personal assistant." I tried to smile but I was actually scared shitless. "Im Faith Brewster, David's mother."

I swear when I heard those words come out her mouth my heart sank to my ass. Like I knew I would have to meet her one of these days but I didnt think that it was gonna be this soon.

She furrowed her eyebrows, "Wait Jayda, as in?" She looked over at Dave, he nodded and she gasped. "Oh baby, I am so happy to finally meet you. My son was supposed to bring you over for Sunday dinner for us to finally meet." She pulled me into a warm hug. "He was? I um wasnt aware." We both looked at him.

"Well you see what had happened was.." She cut him off, "You was scared for us to meet, you aint gotta cover it up with a lie." I goggled softly. "Mommy I hungry." Xela whispered in my ear. "I know baby. Um well I initially came in here to ask Dave if he wanted to go to lunch but since you're here would you like to join us?"

I really hope I dont regret asking her that question.
