Jayda's POV 💜•
I surprised Xela and Jayden with a short trip to the San Diego Zoo.
It was pretty early and I was getting Xela ready. "Mommy, I wear hair in 2 ponytails." I smiled at her. "We did you hair last night already." I took off her scarf. "Jayden lets go!" He always take the longest in the morning. "You want mcdonalds?" I asked Xela because I did not feel like cooking. She nodded. "Good." I finished getting her ready and I went to put my clothes on quickly.
It was gonna be hot in San Diego but we were staying late so I put on a pair of black ripped jeans and a white crop top. I slipped on my royal blue Jordan 1's. I put the stuff that was in my purse in a small backpack. I went in Xela's room and packed her a pair of extra clothes and some pampers in case she had an accident.
I put some snacks and waters in Xela's bag and I grabbed her stroller out of the closet. "Jayda you ready?" Jordan asked me when I went in the living room. I nodded. "Yes, but take this." I handed him the heavy ass stroller.
I grabbed our bags and we headed out the door. We went downstairs and Jayden put the stroller in the trunk while I buckled Xela in. "Mommy we go see aminals." She laughed. "No Xela we are seeing animals." I corrected her. She hates when people try to correct her.
I ignored her and got in the drivers seat. "Ok, we have a hour drive, so you can play whatever you want." I told Jayden and he connected his phone.
I stopped at McDonalds and got us some breakfast sandwiches. I ate while we drove all the way to San Diego. "Mommy, I finish." Xela tried to hand me her wrappers. "Jayden can you grab that from her please." He put her empty wrapper in the bag. "Can you put that orange juice in her cup so she wont spill it all over my car please." He transferred the juice and handed it to her. "Tank you juju." I have no idea where that nickname came from, but thats what she calls him.
We finally made it to the zoo and I just woke Xela up. I was surprised because it took me loss than 5 minutes to find a parking space. I guess its not that packed today. Thank god. "Jayden can you let her out while I get the stroller." I got the stroller out of the trunk and put her back pack underneath her seat. I got her sippy cup out the back seat and it on the tray.
Jayden put her in her stroller and we went to go inside. There was absolutely no line to go in. "Is it closed or something?" Jayden asked. "They wouldn't let me book the tickets for today if it was."
We walked up to the entrance. "Ticket?" I handed him all three of our tickets. "Do you mind me asking why there is so little people here today. It is usually packed." I asked the ticket guy. "Well, this guy rented out the park today and said to only allow limited access, so if you purchased your rickets a couple weeks ago, then you get allowed in." I nodded. "Thats kinda inconsiderate but whatever." "Yeah, well have a good time." "Thank you."

We went inside and we saw a little bit of people. "Ok we are gonna start here and go to the back then come back up because I do not want to get lost." I told Jayden and he grabbed a map. "This'll help."
We went to the first animal exhibit and it was flamingos. "Mommy I get out." I took her out the stroller so she can walk herself. "Xela what color are they?" She tapped her chin like she was thinking. "Dey pink!" "Good job Xela!"
We just looked at the animals for about another couple hours. "Jayda Im hungry." Jayden told me. "Ok, look for somewhere to eat on the map and we can stop for a little bit." Xela was fascinated by the giraffes.
"Mommy look thats Davey." I laughed. "Xela thats not nice." She slapped my leg. "No mommy thats Davey." I looked at where she was pointing and it was definitely Dave's fine ass. "Mommy I go say hi." I saw that he was with a little girl. "Xela I think he's busy. Let's go eat." I pulled her by her arm. "Mommy no! HI DAVEY!" Xela screamed. "Seriously, I said no." I picked her up. "Whos Davey?" Jayden asked me. "My boss." "The guy thats flying us to Miami, shii I wanna meet him too." I rolled my eyes and I saw him walking over towards us. "Hii Xela!" She reached for him to pick her up. "Is it ok?" I nodded. He grabbed her and played with her. "You must be Jayden." He held his hand out to shake Jayden's. "Yea, that mean you Dave."
The little girl came over to me trying to have me pick her up. I picked her up. "You look like my mommy." I looked at her shocked. "I do?" She nodded. "Maya, seriously?" Dave told her. She shrugged her shoulders. "Hi, I Amaya." "Hi Amaya, Im Jayda." Her eyes widened. "My uncle talk about you to my mommy." I gasped. "Really, what does he say?" I smirked. She looked at Dave and he gave her that face. "Well he say-." "I think we should get going." I laughed. Dave put Xela down and he grabbed Amaya from me. "Bye Dave. See you monday!" I started to walk away. Then I felt little hands on my butt. "Jayda I wanna go with you. My uncle is a big meanie head." I smiled at her. "Well, I think thats something that you have to ask him." She groaned. "Uncle, can we please go with them?" "Yea, if its ok with you Jayda?" I shrugged. "The more the merrier."
We went in the little restaurant and I saw Jayden talking to this group of people. "Jayda Imma be with my friends for the rest of the day." I nodded. "Be smart. You have money and your ID just in case. DONT miss any of my calls or texts and meet us in the front by like 6:30." He nodded. "Ok, see ya. Love you." "Love you too." He walked away, leaving me with Dave.

Xela and Amaya were talking their baby gibberish and having fun. "Can you believe that some weirdo rented out this place today?" I heard him chuckle. "Yea. Im the weirdo." My eyes widened. "I- uh Im sorry Mr. Brewster." He groaned. "I already told you to call me Dave." I smiled. "Ive been calling you Mr. Brewster for a year now, its kinda stuck there." He smiled back. "Shit, I'd give anything to call you Mrs. Brewster." I heard him say under him breath. I ignored it on the outside, but on the inside I had butterflies.
We were finally at the front of the line. "Hi, can we get 3 orders of chicken tenders and fries?" I asked the cashier. "Yes you may." Dave looked at me crazy. "3? I can pay for me and Maya." I rolled my eyes and put my card in the chip reader. "And I could've paid for me and Xela's food, but I didnt. Think of it as a thank you." I smiled and he smiled back. "Well, thank you." The guy handed Dave the order and we went to sit down. "Mommy I share with Maya." I nodded. We sat them next to eachother and me and Dave sat next to eachother.
They were in their own little world and me and Dave were sitting in complete silence. "So, this is the niece that has a carseat in your car?" He nodded. "I have her with me a lot of the time because my sister works and her father isnt in the picture." I smirked. "So you stepped up as Uncle-dad. Not many men do stuff like that." I smiled. "Well, I guess you kinda did the same thing with your brother. You are his sister, but you treat him like he's your kid." I shrugged. "We're all we have." He smirked. "I guess you can say we're special."
We were done eating and Maya was complaining that she didnt want to walk, so somehow her and Xela fit into her stroller and they were relaxing together and Dave was pushing them because I was tired. "Shit, I didnt know she would be here." Im confused. "Who?" I looked at him. "My ex, she always finds some way to fuck with me because she's 'happily married' and Im still single." What the hell that got to do with me? "I need you to do something for me." I don't know if I should trust him. "I need you to kiss me, just really quick." "I-." "Please Jayda." He looked like he was genuinely begging. "Fine"
He leaned in and put his hand on my lower back, damn near feeling on my ass and kissed me. I'll be lying if I say that this didnt feel natural. It felt like this is supposed to happen. I pulled away before it went farther. I just kissed my boss. God I hope nothing crazy happens on Monday.
"That was-." I said. "Yeah, I know." We were staring into each other's eyes, until I broke it. "Um, its already 5:30 and I wanted to go to the gift shop before I left." I texted Jayden to meet me in the gift shop. "Umm ok lets go then."
I looked in the stroller and saw that both of the girls were knocked out. "Well, they are sleep. I just wanna get Xela a stuffed animal before we leave." He followed me into the store. I went to get a stuffed animal and I got 2 one for Xela and one for Amaya. I just met her but she's so nice. I looked over and saw Dave had 3. "You need anything else?" He shook his head. We went to the register and paid.
Dave woke up Amaya and Xela and took Amaya out the stroller. "Maya its time to go mama." She rubbed her eyes looking confused. I handed her a bear. "Its a matching bear with Xela, so you guys always remember eachother." She hugged it and Xela hugged hers.
Dave put her down and handed Xela a bear, Amaya a bear and me a big bear. "Whats this for?" He smirked. "For you, duh." I smiled. "Ok... but why?" "Think of it as a thank you." He winked at me. "Bye Xela Wela bye Jayda Wayda!" Amaya screamed at us. "Bye Maya Waya. Bye Davey." I yelled back. I saw Jayden standing by the car. "How was your day?" I asked him. "It was fun, how was yours?" He asked me while I buckled Xela in. I thought back on today. "It was.. eventful." I smiled.
We went on the road back home, music playing in the background. "Jayda, tell me the truth.. do you have feelings for Dave?" He looked at me. "I saw the way that you look at him. The whole bear exchange." I smiled to myself. "Um.. well I think that I may have some type of feelings for him, but I dont think anything would actually happen. I'm pretty sure he doesnt feel the same way." I told him.
"Well, I think if something were to happen with you two I would be happy for you." I smiled at his response.
Do I have real feelings for Dave or is it just me thinking he's attractive?
What did you guys think about this one?

8 211Ghosts Over the Forest
Anya is bored and lonely. Her friends have gone away to summer camp and she is left alone in her tiny forest village. When she meets Gabriel, the boy whose family has moved in next door, it seems that she has made a new friend. But all is not well in the village. Disciple Phobia, (pictured on the cover) an exceptionally evil spirit and a villain from one of my dystopian universes, manages to break through into Anya's world and her nefarious agenda of universal destruction threatens everyone. Can Anya and Gabriel race against time to defeat Phobia? For time is running out and if they fail, it's the end of everything. And Anya is not all she seems. Gabriel may suspect more about her than she knows about herself, but he isn't telling her. Why not? This story is set in a parallel universe with less advanced technology than our own, in a forest that is meant to resemble old rural Saxony. Notice the way Anya talks, she sometimes addresses people as "Dear (insert their name)" Other slang will be explained at the end of each chapter.
