The day was going smoothly, tubbo had gotten tommy to come over to hang out with him and ranboo. Originally they were going to stream, however ranboo....well ranboo wasn't having the best time. And it all started like this.
Once tommy walked through the door, placing his shoes by the door. Tubbo was waiting for him by the door with ranboo, who wasn't wearing his mask or glasses. "Hey boys!" Tommy said enthusiastically, not taking notice to ranboo not wearing his covering, he knew already what the boy looked like. So why make it such a big deal? "Hey toms! How have ya been?" Tubbo asked, the trio walking towards tubbos room. Tommy talked about his day as he plopped himself down on tubbos bed. Ranboo placing himself in a spiny chair near the two. As the two talked (ranboo laughing and butting in as well) everything felt calm.
As the two friends bickered, it gave time for ranboo to start thinking to himself. Leaning against his fist, ranboo could feel his cheek squish up. His shoulders tensed, pulling his face away ranboo turned his head towards the window, the blurry sight of his face was enough to make his stomach churn.
"Im gonna go to the bathroom" ranboo said suddenly, causing both boys to look at him.
Their looking at me
They can see me

Ranboo pulled the hood of his jumper over his head, rushing to the bathroom and locking himself inside. Backing away from the door, he glanced at the mirror, which was a big mistake.
My nose is so big
Im disgusting
Why do i look like that

My eyes are too wide
Its so gross
Wheres my mask
Wheres my mask
They saw me
Im fucking ugly
Why is my mouth so small
Stop

Ranboo slid down against the wall, his eyes filling with tears. Putting his hands over his face he tried to think of other things, make himself forget about the situation at hand, just long enough for him to not panic when he tries to go for his mask and glasses.
Ranboo counted to ten as he took deep breathes, but that didn't work. Ranboo pressed the pads of his finger tips together slowly, but that didn't work. Ranboo squeezed his eyes shut, gripping onto the roots of his hair. It was all too much, not noticing the soft knocking on the bathroom door, ranboo thought of regressing. Just for a moment to try and distract himself, but his mind wouldnt budge. Making it more difficult then it should be.
How pathetic
Cant even do something simple
God your face is so blocky, like a fucking square
Why cant you just be handsome like your friends, everyone loves your friends
Ranboo couldn't handle any more, letting out a broken sob he began to dig his nails into his face. Scratching at his skin, not caring if it hurt. Soon the knocking became louder, the doorknob jiggled as Tommy and tubbo became worried. "Ranboo?? Are you okay?" Tubbo called out, knocking once more. Only hearing a sob echo off the walls, that immediately concerned tommy and tubbo. Tubbo crouched down to the floor, gently knocking on it "ranboo? Ranboo can you come to the door please. You dont have to open it, just come closer."
Hearing tubbos voice, ranboo slowly scooted himself to the door. His nails still dug into his skin. Small beads of blood began to poke through the raw skin that the boy had scratched mercilessly. Tubbo saw ranboos shadow through the bottom of the door, smiling softly, tubbo gestured for tommy to sit down. To which the boy complied, sitting down next to tubbo.

"Thats good ranboo thats good, can you tell us whats the matter"
After hearing tubbo speak, ranboo slowly pulled his hands away from his face. Finally noticing the pain that he had caused himself, swallowing a lump in his throat ranboo finally spoke. "I- it just got bad.." he sniffled, rubbing the tears away from his eyes. "Yeah? Ya noggins' being rude to you?" Tubbo asked, glancing over tommy. Who had the same worried expression. Ranboo sniffled once more, tubbos voice helped the hazy feeling in his mind begin. "Want me to get you're mask and glasses?" Tommy asked suddenly, which peaked ranboos interest. "Yeah.." he mumbled, tommy stood up and hurried to find his friends facial covering. While tubbo stayed with him, he was able to get ranboo to unlock the door. But let Ranboo keep the door closed, until tommy got back. Once the boy came back, tubbo opened the door a crack, sliding the mask and glasses inside. Which ranboo gratefully snatched from the floor, putting them on. The familiar feeling of cloth touching his face helped.
Standing up, ranboo shuffled to the doorknob, blinking slowly as he suddenly felt tired. Opening the door, tubbo and tommy hoped up. Looking up at their taller friend, tommy being the first to speak "feel any better?" He asked, smiling as ranboo nodded his head. Slowly walking past the two of them, laying on the sofa. Tubbo walked over, peering over ranboos shoulder. Moving hair away from his glasses "you alright?" He asked softly, a small smile tugging at his lips. Ranboo nodded once more "small.." was all he said, but tubbo knew what he meant. "Okay bud, ill wake you up in an hour with some snacks alright?" But ranboo was already asleep, his knees curled up against his chest. Chuckling, tubbo pulled a blanket over the sleeping boy, slowly backing away so he wouldn't wake up. While Ranboo got a much needed nap, tubbo and tommy made him grilled cheese. Of course with the crust cut off, for when he wakes up.
