《The ThickGirl and The Badboy》Chapter 21: Back to School.

I hated waking up early for school.
My alarm clock, that was ringing with Shawn Mendes 'Treat You Better', was booming all over my room.
"Great. I gotta get my ass back to school." I muttered under my breath.
"Ko- Oh, you're awake. Good. Get dressed honey, I made breakfast this mornimg and your doctor's note is on the kitchen table, you can't miss it. Bye!" My mom blabbered slamming my door.
"Bye, I love you!" I shouted hoping for her to hear.
Stripping off my pajama clothes, I tried to dress comfortable in sweats and a tank top.
As I started walking downstairs towards the kitchen, I heard two people talking.
I froze in my tracks.
'Did my mom not said she left?'
There's one way to find out...
My heart started pounding uncontrollably.
'Calm down.' I told myself.
'It's probably just my mom talking on the phone..and not who you think it is...'
'Bryson wouldn't see you for a third time in a row.'
"Yeah, I'm sure she'll be fine. She's the coaches' favorite so they'll aid her for anything." Crystal's voice hammered against my skull.
I relaxed, relieved it wasn't him.
"Crystal. You didn't say you were gonna give me a ride." I spoke as calmly as I could, helping myself with some breakfast.
"You sound surprised. Did you expect someone else to be here? " She raised her eyebrow at me and smirked.
I gave her a hard glare before sitting down next to her, and then looked at my mom.
"No. Of course I wasn't. Mom, shouldn't you be heading to work?"
She looked up from her Iphone and gasped, "Oh yes, I was just talking to Crystal here for alittle bit, I guess I should go. Bye girls!"
Once she left out the door out of earshot I muttered, "Well she's in a good mood today."
"Now, I don't want any pitty party today, you're coming back!" She beamed, hugging me tightly.

"Yeah, I'm coming back to hell." I mummbled against her.
She pulled away and looked me down, scolding me with her finger as if I were a child, "Don't you say anything negative around me missy, or you'll be sorry. Now let's go!"
Crystal pulled me away guiding me outside towards her car, " Is today seriously a day to be celebrated? " I asked
"Yes! You have no idea how bored I was without you!"
I rolled my eyes and smiled, "Aw you missed me.." I poked her cheek, while she was driving now.
"No duh stupid. You're my best friend."

"Ah, I'm so glad you're back Miss Pairs." My english teacher chimed.
I was so frustrated already, that I didn't even bother to correct her for my last name. I simply nodded, and plastered a fake smile on my face.
"Did you do the work you missed ?" She asked.
Again, I nodded my head yes.
"So you're all caught up now?"
"Yes." I finally said.
"Good, then go take a seat." She told me.
I rolled my eyes as I walked towards my seat, Clarrise wasn't in her seat, so I guess it was just gonna be me and-
"Mr.Anderson, please come here for a sec." The teacher ordered.
I didn't mean to look back, but it was just a habit.
Bryson looked bad, he looked paler, his eye bags visible along with the red eyes, and his hair sticking out messily.
Whatever she talked to him about, he didn't seem fazed. He walked to our table, not meeting my eyes, and instead of sitting next to me like he was supposed to, because it's his assigned seat, he sat as far away from me as possible.
The teacher got class started after she did attendance, but I couldn't concentrate not knowing what was up with Mr.Angry.
So I whispered to him trying to get his attention."Hey, Bryce, Bryson! "

"Are you seriously ignoring me right know?" I try again,
"I'm not in the mood Koleen." He mutters.
Without thinking I reached for his hands which were rested on the desk, they covered mine like a warm blanket.
"Then talk to me." I pleaded. " I thought we were friends."
He looked at me, and opened his mouth as if to say something, but instead he sneered, " Friends? You really thought we were friends?"
"Ouch." Was all I say as I ignored him myself.
After class was over I quickly walked off, forcing my damaged legs to take me away from the classroom.
I thought our relationship was actually getting somewhere, maybe not romantically, but friendly, I thought we were gonna become the best of friends, you know?
'I'm so so stupid.'I thought.
I tried to avoid him a day.
Instead of getting a ride from Crystal I asked someone to give me a ride to a coffee shop.
It was getting chilly after all, and all I wanted was a warm cup of soothing coffee.
What I didn't realize though, was that I've never been in this part of town, or was it even in town?
I walked along the sidewalk passing boutiques, and other little restaurants.
After finishing off my coffee I walked to a nearby dumpster to throw it away.
"My, my, you are a pretty one." I hear a mans voice.
I looked behind me to see an old man, starring at me, coming closer to me.
"I have a taser, if you come near me I'll tase you." I warn him reaching for my back pack, but just as quickly he grabs ahold of me.
"Let me go!"
He gripped me harder, and said "Oh don't worry honey I won't do anything to you. It's Mr.Simney who likes pretty girls like you, he'll take very good care of you, as soon as he get's inside you."
I started having a panick attack, I couldn't find my voice to cry for help, I was so scared that my worst nightmare would be coming true right this instant that I just froze up.
"Let her go Clarence."
We both turn to the voice.
I was both happy, and angry that it was him.
I was trying to avoid him today after all.
Clarence grinned, seeming to recognize Bryson.
"Sex God, we meet again. Mr.Simney has been dying to see you again."
Bryson growled, "Let.Her.Go."
But Clarence didn't seem fazed by his braveness, he only gripped my arm harder.
"Mr.Simney would want this one, what a fine profit she'll do with that body of hers. Why I don't think we'd ever had any curvy girl in the Barbie house..." He said, his disgusting hand grazing my body.
I struggled, and kicked his shin.
"Yau!! You stupid bitch!" He fumed, letting my hand go and trying to place them on my neck.
Bryson then stomped over and started attacking Clarence.
Once Clarence stopped fighting back because he was too hurt to, Bryson kept going at it, getting on top of him and punching him repeatedly.
The sounds of his fists colling with the old dude's face made me wince.
"Bryson stop!" I yelled at him, but he didn't stop he kept going, breathing hard, punching him even harder than the last one.
"Bryson stop you're gonna kill him!" I yelled tears in my eyes.
Blood oozed on his fingers, and on his shirt. The man kept groaning in pain, pleading him to stop.
"Bryson!" I yelled once again walking over to him, when he was about to swing again I touched his shoulder, and he raised his fist at me, I jerked back. His eyes looked wild, and he was breathing hard.
"I'm sorry." He whispered. "I'm sorry."
