"I really hope she won't get a seizure while we're gone" Meredith muttered as they were sitting in the plane
"She'll be fine" Derek assured her
"I wrote everything down again.. Her spasms in the morning and her drooling.. I-.." Meredith rambled
"Mer, she's surrounded by doctors" Derek grabbed her hand
"God, I hate Bailey for doing this" Meredith sighed
"Who do you think this VIP patient is?" Derek asked Meredith, trying to distract her
"I don't care" She whispered as she laid her head on Derek's shoulder and waited till the plane finally landed again
"Catherine is coming to pick us up, right?" Meredith asked
Derek nodded and grabbed Meredith's hand as they continued their way to the exit.
'Derek, Meredith!" Catherine yelled
"Hi, Catherine" Derek said
"Hi" Meredith said quietly
"We need to leave now, I'm gonna explain the situation once we're in the car" Catherine said as she stepped in.
As Catherine kept explaining, Meredith noticed she started to zone out and quickly brought her attention back to Catherine. It's evening, once Catherine is done talking, she can call the kids, they'll be fine
"He's in now for scans so I'm bringing you to your hotel room now so you can settle in and then we can meet for dinner and talk about the case" Catherine ended her speech
Both Meredith and Derek nodded
Catherine said goodbye to Derek and Meredith and they checked into their room.
"I'm gonna call the kids" Meredith said the second she entered the room and she dialed Alex' number.
She started pacing in the room while the phone was ringing, she put the phone on speaker
"Hey, Mer! How's LA" Alex' voice was heard
"Hi, it's okay. How are the kids?" She immediately asked
"They're good, I'm gonna turn my phone on speaker so they can talk to you" Alex replied

"Mommy! Daddy!" They yelled
"Hi guys" Both Meredith and Derek said "How are you doing with uncle Alex?" Meredith asked them
"We've ate cake" Bailey giggled
"Ake!" Ellis yelled
"Wow! And now you're high on sugar?" She guessed and laughed
"M-ommy bed! M-ommy me bed?" Ellis asked
"No baby, Alex will bring you to bed" Meredith whispered
"Alex, how has her drooling been?" Derek asked
"Not too bad, mostly during dinner but she's okay" Alex assured them
"If she gets a seizure, please call me immediately" Meredith asked him
"I will, Mer" He assured her
"Bailey, did you finish your math homework?" Derek asked him
"Yes, Zola helped!" He told them
"B-oo b-oo! Auw!" Ellis yelled
"Alex?! Ellie, what's wrong" Meredith started to panic
"Alex, me 'cises!" Ellis told them
"During her exercises she has a small boo boo. Her feet and arms had a few spasms from the intense training" Alex told them "But don't worry, I gave her a hot bath" Alex told them before either of them could reply
"Me g-ood" Ellis told them
"We love you guys so so much" She said against the kids
"Luf too!" Ellis yelled
"We love you too" Bailey said
"Love you too" Zola replied
"Now you guys have to go to bed, it's already past bedtime" Derek said
"Goodnight, sweeties. I love you so so much. Kiss" Meredith said
"Bye mommy" Zola said
"m-ommy h-ome?" Ellis asked again
"Soon baby" Meredith replied
"Luf" Ellis said and Meredith heard her running away
"Alex, keep me updated on them please. I'll call again in the morning" Meredith said
"We're okay, Mer. Bye Shep, bye Mer!"
"Bye" Both Meredith and Derek said as they hung up
"Glad to hear they're okay" Meredith smiled and fidgeted with her fingers as she sat down

"Alex is with them. Now let's get dressed. We don't want Catherine waiting for us!" Derek said and kissed her temples
Meredith quickly changed into a black dress and put on some heels as Derek was wearing his dark blue suit.
"You ready?" He asked and Meredith nodded
They made their way downstairs and went to the hotel's restaurant.
As Meredith ordered, she received a text from Alex 'They're all fine, they're sound asleep.'
She quickly texted him back 'Night Braces are on? Is she wearing her pink pajamas and did she take her pills?'
'Yes, Mer. She's good, enjoy your childfree night'
'Thanks Alex' She texted him back and put her phone away
"They're asleep" She whispered to Derek and ne nodded, grabbing her hand
"So, what did you come up with as a treatment plan?" Catherine asked them
...
Meredith collapsed on the bed, panting. Her hand resting on Derek's chest as she was catching her breath, her other hand checking her phone, if she received a text but nothing.
"We should sleep" She whispered
"We should" He whispered back and cuddled her closer to him, wrapping his arms protectively around her
She felt Derek's body relaxing and she knew he was sound asleep but she couldn't. Thoughts were running through her mind.
"Mer, sit down" Derek laughed as he carried her lunch
"I will" She smiled and took a seat before grabbing her burritos
As they were continuing lunch, she felt some stabbings in her stomach.
"Hey there, you need to be in there for another month" Meredith laughed as she rubbed her stomach
"Is she giving you a hard time again?" Derek asked her
"She's definitely more active than Bailey" She laughed
"It's your last week before you go on maternity leave, then my girls can bond some more before this little one will keep us awake" Derek laughed as he rubbed her stomach
They both finished their lunch and walked back to the surgical wing of the hospital
"Auwch" Meredith groaned and clenched her fist against the wall
"Mer? What's wrong?!" Derek yelled
"I'm.. It's okay" She stabilized herself
"AH!" She yelled and clutched her stomach
"Mer, you're bleeding" Derek gasped "Someone get me a gurney!" He yelled as Meredith collapsed on the ground "And page doctor Montgomery!"

Beyond the Horizon's Eye
It is less than two weeks after the event known as the Flux Causality, and two days after the Grand Council has put forth the edict demanding the immediate retrieval and deletion of all Stringhoppers. Finding such Travelers, however, is proving more difficult than expected. A young boy and his sister find themselves violently taken from their world to another, and soon thereafter are forcibly separated. Now sold into slavery, the young man must find not only a reason to survive but a purpose to carry him home. The journey has just begun, and the hardest step is always the first one. ~ This is my attempt at both the Xianxia/Wuxia and Portal/Isekai genre of fiction that I love, and the means to provide a story set in such guidelines, while distancing myself from some of the more common tropes. I do hope you enjoy the story I shall endeavor to tell. ~ Average post between 1000 - 3000 words. This is a work in progress, and will be edited and adjusted over time. If you’re interested in something a bit more GameLIT, you might want to check out my second story on Royal Road, “The Dawnfire Archives”. My newest story is a combination of both genres, but with a female main character at the helm. Feel free to check out "The Card Thief of Culnivar"!

Psychotic Death Online
(Side Project for now)In a futuristic alternate reality, the creators of nanotech team up with the VR capsule company to create a capsule where one could stay it in for a year at a time before having to leave. These capsules could be use for rehab and even reconstruction! Eventually, Buzzard, the largest gaming company in the world, created a new VRMMO with 99% realism pending the new capsules, of course the rate dropped to 97% with normal capsules and 90% with the old fashioned visor systems. Unfortunately, the new capsules cost $100,000 and not many people can afford them, either way the new game World of Destiny was a hit with over 110 million subscriptions!Meet our tragic MC Feng Jun, an injured psychopath that simply wants to get his next kill. He has no MO, he doesn't even care if what he kills is an insect let alone a person. He just has to kill every once in awhile to scratch his itch. Up til an injury that left him without a leg, he was able to make do simply killing insects as no one cared and he didn't even have to visit any doctors about it. People just thought he hated bugs! But after his injury he has been suck at his home not being able to do anything! Fortunately he is rich and spends most of his time playing MMOs since normal VRMMOs don't work well with his injury as the realism setting always keeps him with only one leg! But what will he do with a new opportunity to rebuild his leg with nanotech? Knowing he has to spend a year in the game minimum for something like this, he sets a goal to insure he doesn't go crazy (er) without having stuff to kill. This is a VRMMO story where the game is closer to zhan long than royal road with a few twists here and there. The world outside of the game is sci fi and has very little impact at least for the first year due to obvious reasons. No gore or explicit sex in this story, if cursing requires a mature tag I will add it later, this story is at best PG-13. Tragedy is for his circumstances and previous life, the game itself isn't tragic at all as it's just a game more or less.(This story will be put out alongside my main story whenever I feel like it for now, no set schedule at this time)

Red Street Daybreak
August Samuel Hatch was born under an inauspicious pattern of stars. It's granted him what is widely considered the most unlucky of inconveniences: becoming host to a powerful but pernicious spirit that will act as his guide and protector--and one day end his life. Sairne is sworn to stand by August's side and, when the fancy strikes her, advise him, all in the service of atoning for a past life she can’t remember having committed a grave enough offense to earn her soul indentureship in the mortal realm. Bound by a celestial contract neither one can negotiate, their fates are all they've ever known. But in a city ruled by religious right and where magic runs deep as bedrock, their search for a missing friend leads them to a dark conspiracy that could transmute the very magic that binds them to their fates, and that might grant them the ultimate choice: do they save the city or save themselves? Cross-posted on Wattpad and Ao3. For fans of fantasy YA story beats if they starred adults instead, 1920s inspired setting, lots of banter, larger cast of characters, somewhat soft magic system. Completed, but being actively edited prior to posting! I'm the only captain on this ship, so mind any errors.
