"Are you just gonna stand there and stare?"
Mitsuya sent [Y/n] a sheepish smile and she only smirked in return. The result would always make his heart do flip and heat his cheeks up. He can't exactly tell why he always found that damn smirk of hers so charming.
It's just undeniably alluring. That's the word he'd describe if he does get asked about it.
"Sorry." He apologized first. "You're beautiful, by the way." His sweet tone and words didn't fail to catch [Y/n] off guard.
"So beautiful that you took my breath away and made me speechless." He was smiling while enjoying the girl's flustered state. Her mother giggled softly while the father rolled his eyes and scoffed.
"E-Enough." [Y/n] stammered and forced a cough. "Let's go already." She says her bye to her parents first before stepping out, her face still red and hot that she started to cool it down by using her hand as a fan.
"I'm rooting for you, Taka-nii!" Whispered shout the little boy, Akio making Mitsuya to grin and thank him then jog his way to the [h/c] girl after politely saying his farewell to the parents and telling them that he'd bring her back home safe and not too late.
"I have to admit." Hiroshi starts while he and his wife both watch the two teens walk further away from them. "The kid is good." He hums. "He's as smooth as butter."
"Seeing our daughter really reminds me of you. The times when we were at their age, too." The man puts a hand on her waist. "Ah, yes. Those were the times when I had a lot of rivals." Youko giggles at her husbands' actions.
"Those days were hard but look at us today." Hiroshi continues. "I'm such a lucky guy, aren't I?" His wife agrees with a peck on his lips. Akio grimaces as he closes the door then went to the kitchen to get some snack and went to his room, leaving his parents get all lovey dovey that it made his skin crawl.
"Yuck."

"Hey, mister." Takemichi heard a familiar voice from the distance. "This game is rigged, right?"
"Ha? The hell you goin' on about little lady?" He and Hina both turned their heads. The blonde's guess on who the person was correct.
"So you're gonna play it like that, hm?" [Y/n] starts to snicker which Takemichi found quite devilish. "I'm sure you'd love a vacation!" She chirped with a bright smile.

"In prison." She adds. Her bright smile turning into a mischievous or mocking one. The booth owner couldn't help but flinch at her threatening words and smile.
Mitsuya simply watches it unfold, obviously amused on how this'll go since he knows himself that [Y/n] can't be stopped.
"I'd be delighted to help you out on that." She states before taking out her phone. "I'll call the police and recommend you. I'm sure they'd be happy to arrange a perfect place for you." The man couldn't help but turn pale right after hearing her words.
"Who knows, you might even have lovely roommates." Takemichi and Hina both watch in amazement when it ended with the man giving [Y/n] whatever she wanted from his store.
Two cute small toys, a chocolate bar which she's now eating, a yarn bracelet. That was all she asked for since there wasn't really anything eye catching to her other than those items.
Besides, she doesn't wanna see a grown man cry.
"[L/n]-san's scary." Takemichi mutters, face pale just like the man earlier. "So cool." Hina says with twinkling eyes of admiration.
"Here." [Y/n] hands the toys to Mitsuya. "A present for Mana and Luna." She grinned which made the boy smile and take the said present.
"Thank you. I'm sure they'd love it since it came from you." The girl stares at her friend and it leads to him staring back with a puzzled look on his face.
"You are so good with words." She blurted out and took his hand. "There." She nods her head as Mitsuya notices the bracelet she received that was now on his wrist.
"I only took it because it's the same color as your eyes." She informs with a small hum. "Looks great on you." In a grinning face she told him.
The fact that [Y/n] got the bracelet because it simply reminded her of the color of his eyes, or more like she had him on his mind made his heart flip and go crazy. It also sent butterflies to his stomach as a silly smile was now found on his face.
"Seriously..." Takashi chuckles, a hand on his red face. He was over the moon as he can't even make the smile on his face go away and while he was having a blissful moment, [Y/n] greeted the couple and teased them.
"We lost Draken-kun and Emma-chan." Takemichi sheepishly informed.
"On purpose." The girl quipped with a taunting smirk and her words did nothing but make the couple turn even more red.
"You two are adorable." She laughs then takes Takashi's hand. "We'll be on our way." She said and flashes them a smile.

"Wouldn't wanna disturb you lovebirds from having your lovey dovey moment~" with her teasing words now delivered, she dashed away with her lilac haired friend.
"See you later." Takashi bids them his farewell as he lets himself get dragged. Takemichi lets out a sigh of relief when they were now gone, specifically the [h/c] girl.
He can't take another torturous moment from her.
"Let's go, Hina." Said girl giggles when she saw how her boyfriend looked like he just got half of his life suck out of him.
'Mitsuya-kun's with her.' The faux blonde teen thought while looking at their walking figure. '[L/n]-san should be fine.' Droplets of water comes from the dark sky and it soon came out like a shower making people to seek shelter.

"Takemitchy!!" Called Takashi as the rain pours. The blonde boy who was shocked to see him, ran towards his direction.
'Why is Mitsuya-kun here?!'
"[L/n]-san!" Takemichi shouted and him mentioning [Y/n]'s surname made the lilac haired boy hum with a confused look.
"Where's [L/n]-san?! Did you leave her alone??" Mitsuya can't help but show a frown. "Of course. I can't have her be dragged in the fight." His remark caused Takemichi to unknowingly hold his breath.
'Draken-kun dying is already bad but if [L/n]-san also... Shit! What should I do?!'
"She's with your girlfriend." Mitsuya sighs before giving him a suspicious look. "Why're you so worried about her?" He asked which made the boy panic and think of some excuse.
"That's not important right now!" Takemichi exclaims yet despite that Mitsuya wasn't convinced. He saw how the blonde looked so anxious and now he can't help but feel like something's gonna happen.
He shook if off as he didn't wanna jinx it.
"Draken-kun's gonna get attacked!" Takemichi states. "Yeah...I know!" Mitsuya's response surprised him this time.
"You knew that?"
"How'd you know?" They both asked at the same time.
"Kiyomasa-kun's gonna–"
"It's Peh-yan!"
After having a small talk about the reason on behind Peh-yan's actions, the the two boys ran to the parking lot.
And there they find Draken who's fighting the members of moebies, knocking them out cold with blood dripping down his head as he had a grim expression on his face.
"Hey. Mitsuya...Takemitchy."

"Takemichi-kun!!" Called Hina as she and Emma both ran towards him with Draken on his back.
"How's Draken?!" Anxiously asked the sandy blonde haired girl while Hina informs him that they already called an ambulance.
"He's okay. He's still alive!" Replied Takemichi which made tears to well up in Emma's eyes as she watches him settle Draken down on the wet ground.
"What about [L/n]-san?" Asked the protagonist while turning his head left and right to find the familiar silhouette of the said girl.
"[Y/n]-chan saw a friend of hers and told me that she'll catch up later." Replied Hina. Takemichi's heart gave a loud beat that he, himself heard it ring in his ears.
"Was it a guy named...Masashi?" He almost asked in a shaky way and hearing Hina's reply made his breath hitch while a thunder struck look accompanies it all.
'I've been so preoccupied with Draken-kun and the fight that I've completely forgot about her! I can't believe myself!!' His stomach churned. His pupils dilated and shook as his breathing went uneven.
'Did I fail?'
And as if the situation wasn't bad enough, Takemichi spotted the familiar silhouette of a group of guys. Kiyomasa and his minions delivered insulting words with a mocking laughter.

"Shit."
[Y/n] coughs and pants as she hides and catches her breath. She was a mess unlike earlier. Her kimono was loose due to the action she did when she was attacked after her friend, a boy named Masashi left to go home.
Good thing that she wore some tank top and shorts underneath at least.
The hairstyle her mother did was disheveled and ruined. Her feet hurt from all the running because of the slippers which she abandoned somewhere in the streets in the middle of it.
Not to mention she was also cold due to the heavy rain, and her phone went out of battery. Useless thing.
She was beyond annoyed at the situation. She only wanted to have a good time with Takashi during their date, assist Takemichi, and make sure Draken makes it out alive but no.
Something else was stored in for her.
A small hiss came from her when she let out a loud cough. She put a hand on her neck, knowing that it was bruised due to the stinging pain she felt, as well as the small cut on it.
"First things first, I gotta get outta here." The girl mutters. [Y/n] takes a deep breath while getting rid of the hair strands that was on her face.
Then all of a sudden, she was on the ground while familiar figure of the person who wore all black sat on her stomach and spoke in a eerily, low and rough way.
It made her shiver and skin crawl as she felt the cold metal of a knife, the same one that injured her neck, touch her chin.

Parallels
Parallels are a constant in life. Our friends' lives often run parallel to ours; we share similar experiences or tastes- perhaps even both. Sometimes, however, opposites attract- and our lives run perpendicular. In that case, we are not attracted by similarities; rather, we are attracted to the differences in others. So, what happens when two parallels are broken apart? What might happen to them? Are they forever doomed to run alongside each other, never seeing one another, never meeting? Or, perhaps, might they be spun about? Could these lines that formerly ran alongside one another meet? Could they possibly be set perpendicular? Any feedback is welcome, so long as it is constructive. Also, you may not use any characters, ideas, places, or what have you that I present here without my explicit permission. A note: This is a story which I began over a year ago, but never got around to finishing- it feels about time to really get it going. Now, there are a couple of things about the story, and myself, that need to be said. First and foremost, there's a slow start, but by the third-fourth chapter things should be speeding up a bit. Secondly, in regards to release speed and/or word count per chapter, I make no promises- my schedule is fairly random, and in regards to word count, I will cut off any chapter at any point that feels appropriate to me- that may include cliffhangers, if necessary. I'm not trying to reach a specific word count, I am trying to create a cohesive story, with pseudo-appropriate chapter breaks. This means I will also not rush a half-baked release for the sake of getting a release out. Thirdly, I will make any edits, anywhere in the story and at any time, that strike me as necessary- typically being wording and/or formatting changes, but I may also decide to change major plot points- in that case I would put a notification in the next chapter released. Finally, and most importantly, I am a Christian; this story is intended to at least moderately reflect those values. So, if you particularly dislike any of these things, feel free to look elsewhere, and don't let the door hit you on the way out. God bless, friends.
