Narae POV
Hi, I'm Narae...
I am an average normal girl who attended high school.
Of course their were things I longed for as a normal teenage girl... such as beauty, popularity and attention from males.
Of course for me that wasn't the case.
I was lacking in natural beauty.
Of course I had nice tanned golden skin, luscious long black hair, some cute glasses and a skinny figure.
But I didn't meet the standard of beauty the popular girls at my school had.
Or maybe I just wasn't out spoken enough.
I was a very shy person.
Or maybe it was the fact that none of the popular girls wore glasses.
Either way, I lack in the beauty and confidence to become popular and lack gaining the attention of males because of this.
But in my last year of high school, everything started to change...
You may be wondering why...
Well get ready for a ride on a magic carpet because the story is about to commence...
~Rewind~
Date: 2nd Of November 2013.
I turn 18 in a few weeks.
Next year I have plans to go do extra studying at a university but I have low amounts of money.
So I work at a craft store.
I work 40 hours a week.
Even though I have school. I spend almost all of my time at the store earning money to afford to attend university next year.
The store I work at has three parts.
Firstly, we repair and clean items.
Secondly we trade items for other items worth the same value in the store.
And thirdly we sell items.
I watched a man walk in with a top hat.
He looked tall and had a twitching mustache above his lip.
He wore a long black coat and black pants.

Almost as though he was a spy from a movie.
"Hi. What can I do for you?" I asked the male as he walked up to the counter.
"I want to trade a lamp for something" the male said.
His voice sounded jagged, cold and unkind.
Almost evil.
I nodded.
"May I see the lamp to mark it's value?" I asked the man.
He lifted out of a black case a lamp shaped hidden object wrapped up in a brown fabric.
He lifted the brown fabric back a bit.
I could see a golden rusted lamp which would look so much better if it was cleaned or scrubbed.
The details on the lamp were stunning.
I just don't understand why this man brought it to me so unclean.
Maybe he wants to trade and then I can just clean it to catch other people's attention.
"Is it fully made from gold?" I asked him.
He nodded.
"It is hollow though" he said.
"I will give you a value of ₩40840" I said considering it was similar to other lamps.
Just slightly rundown.
"I think the lamp is a bit more then that" he said.
"Why?" I asked him.
"The details. The history. It looks old" the male said.
"₩50000. Final value price" I said to the male who nodded.
"Deal" he said with a crooked smile.
He wrapped the lamp back up and I lifted it, putting it in a shelf because I want to polish and clean the lamp later.
I know it's history.
But no one is going to want to buy the lamp if it's not a nice golden shiny colour.
The male looked around at objects worth the value of ₩50000.
"I want the table" the male said pointing at a retro wooden table worth the value.

"Then it's yours" I said answering as I slouched against the counter checking the time.
"Thanks" he said pulling it out of the tight space where it was in the corner of the room.
The male left with the table.
I had to hold open the door for half an hour though as he struggled to get out the door with the large retro wooden table.
I couldn't believe on a Saturday evening I was out working.
But in saying that...
It's not like I have friends to hang out with anyways.
10:48pm
I stared at the time and noticed no one else was coming into our store.
So I started to clean up the room.
Wipe down the surfaces and empty the rubbish which consisted of wood and metal shavings from refurbishing items.
I walked over to the front door of the store staying inside and locked the door.
I flipped the 'open' sign to display now 'closed'
I sat down at the counter and counted the money then locked it away in a safe by our work phone in the back part of the store.
I didn't however want to go home yet.
As the lamp the creepy man gave me before intrigued me.
I pulled the lamp down off the shelf.
It felt heavier then I remembered.
I placed it down on the counter.
I unwrapped the lamp and saw the rough damaged historical lamp.
I grabbed the lamp and swiftly went over to a sander which sanded smooth the lamp.
I smiled seeing how the golden lamp shined in my hands.
The golden lamp felt warm and heavy.
Almost as though it was pulsing.
I placed it back down on my desk.
I smiled satisfied with my work of the lamp.
I spun it around to check the other side.
I felt disappointed seeing a mark on the lamp.
I rubbed my thumb gently against the mark on the lamp.
But to my surprise the lamp started to shake... violently...
I let go of the lamp and gasped as the lamp started to smoke.
But the smoke wasn't a grey or black tone.
Instead it was a deep ocean blue colored smoke.
I grabbed a hold of a pocket knife under my desk as the smoke rose in the air.
It all came out of the pointing open of the lamp.
But that's when I started to see a face and body forming from the smoke.
Was I seeing a ghost!?
Am I dying!?
Am I hallucinating!?
I am hungry from not eating all day but would my imagination truly imagine a handsome male figure appearing from a blue smoke that rose out of a lamp.
I screamed as the smoke started to disappear but a handsome blue male floated in front of me...
My mouth fell open and my hand tightly clutched the pocket knife.
The smoke now was gone.
I felt slightly relieved but confused seeing the shape of a male in front of me.
But that's when I saw a deep dreamy brown eye flicker open.
I screamed again covering my mouth when the guy opened his other eye raising an eyebrow at me.
"Scared are we?" The male said in a soft tone.
I shivered feeling adrenaline zapping through my body.
I can't be imagining this...
Why would I possibly dream this...
I am not asleep...
This magic.... No this sorcery... it is real!

Words I Left Unsaid
"Like a treasure map in a bottle, We were slowly drifting apart, Mother Nature sailing our purpose out to sea, The more I got to know you, I realised how much of a hoax your devotion was, Almost as fake as the smile I paint across my shattered face."This collection of poetry releases trauma in the form of expression - mainly the words I could never build up the courage to say. Most of these poems present conflict of the mind and allude to mental health struggles, which may be relatable to a certain community of people.Ranks -#3 in poem#3 in poembook#8 in poetry collection #7 in sadpoems#6 in poemcollection #7 in wisdom #15 in poetic
