"Awesome!" Ayako praised. "Everyone's performance is really good!"
"Yeah, I bet they're really looking forward to this practice game." Y/n agreed.
"Okay! Now we'll practice three-on-three half-court drills!" Akagi instructed.
The players agreed and start doing the drill.
Tomorrow is the first practice match against Ryonan High, Akagi got the whole Shohoku team to practice harder, so everyone's performance would be at their best.
"Ayako-senpai, can I go to Ryonan High by myself?" Y/n asked her senpai.
"Why?" Ayako asked.
"My house is close to Ryonan High. So, I will not pay twice for transportation." Y/n explained.
"Okay, I'll tell Anzai-sensei and Akagi-senpai." Ayako assured her.
Y/n thanked her senpai and continue observing the players.
While everyone is busy improving their skills, Akagi walk towards Y/n's direction.
"Y/n-san, can you stay after practice?" Akagi asked.
"Hmm, I think I can senpai." Y/n answered. "Why?"
"Well, I would like to help me teach Sakuragi how to rebound." Akagi said.
"Oh, a private lesson for Sakuragi Hanamichi." Ayako butted in to their conversation. "But why Y/n-chan, I can also help him."
"I think it will Sakuragi can help our team by doing rebounds. I heard from Haruko that she helped Sakuragi in doing the lay-up shot." Akagi explained.
"Oh, when did that happen?" Ayako turned to Y/n.
"Well, I was him struggle in making a shot so I helped him." Y/n answered.
Ayako nodded at her.
"Also, he might not listen to me so, he might listen to her." Akagi added. "What do you say. Y/n-san?"
"Yeah, sure Akagi-senpai I'll help you." Y/n agreed. "I'll just call my parents I'll be home a little late."

"Okay. Thank you, Y/n-san." Akagi thanked Y/n.
"No problem, Akagi-senpai. I'm glad I could help." Y/n smiled at her sempai.
After their conversation, Akagi continue to practice with the others.
After their practice, Y/n pulled Rukawa to the side before he exited the gym.
"Kaede-kun, I won't be walking home with you tonight." Y/n said.
"Why? Are you going somewhere?" Rukawa asked. "I can come with you."
"It's not that." Y/n said. "Akagi-senpai said that I should help him teaching Sakuragi how to rebound."
"Sakuragi again." Rukawa sighed, think why dose Y/n always helping Sakuragi. "I will not allow you walk home alone, I'll wait for you outside."
"But – "
"Nope, I'll wait for you. Like it or not." Rukawa said and hurry exited the gym before Y/n could speak another argument.
Y/n sighed and made her way to the two boys inside the court.
Akagi demonstrate rebound to Sakuragi. "How about it Sakuragi?" Akagi asked. "Still have energy to play?"
"HAHAHA... Of course, I do!" Sakuragi said happily. "I am tough guy, genius Sakuragi!"
A little later, Sakuragi realized what he had just said.
"Oop!" Sakuragi exclaimed.
There was a long pause. Sakuragi started to think about Akagi punishing him.
"Do you envy me?" Sakuragi break the silence and asked Akagi.
Akagi punch Sakuragi's head.
"Stupid!" Akagi said.
"Really... Got him angry again!" Sakuragi said and patted his head.
"Sakuragi, I want to teach you a new thing." Akagi started.
"Teach me new thing?" Sakuragi asked.
"The 'rebound'." Akagi answered. "it is to get the missed ball."
"What? I don't want to learn such common technique!" Sakuragi yelled and turned his back to Akagi and tuck his arms inside his shorts. "Go and get the missed ball! How boring!"

"Umm... Sakuragi, a person who can control the rebounds can control the whole game." Y/n explained.
"Person who can control the rebounds can control the whole game." Sakuragi repeated. "Boxing also has such saying... 'A person can master their right hand can conquer the world.'!"
"Right! Basketball also has this type of saying." Akagi said.
"Is it true, Y/n-san?!" Sakuragi turned to the only girl in the court. "I can control the whole game?"
"Yeah, only if you can control your rebounds." Y/n lectured.
"If you have no faith on your strength, then go home! I won't force you." Akagi said.
"HAHAHAHA! Didn't I already tell you that I'm a genius tough guy?!" Sakuragi reminded Akagi. "No problem to practice all the way till dawn!"
"Okay then, let's start!" Y/n cheered.
"Let's go!" Sakuragi also cheered.
Akagi and Y/n teach Sakuragi rebound till dawn.
As Shohoku basketball team arrived at Ryonan High, while Y/n is still fast asleep.
Y/n starting to wake up when her phone is starting to ring. She answered her phone and put it to her ear, not bothering to look at the contact.
"Hello?" She sleepily answered.
"SENDOH Y/N WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU!" Ayako yelled at the phone.
Y/n fall off her bed awake.
"Ayako-senpai? What's wrong?" Y/n asked while standing up.
"I guess you forgot..." Ayako took a deep breath. "YOUR LATE WE HAVE A PRACTICE MATCH WITH RYONAN HIGH!"
"OH SH*T! I FORGOT! I'M SORRY AYAKO-SENPAI I'LL BE THERE!" Y/n's eyes widen, ended the call and toss her phone to her bed, hurry fixed her things and hurried to the bathroom not bothered washing her hair.
She quickly took her bag and made her way outside and took her bike.
"MOM, I'LL BE GOING TO ONII-SAN'S SCHOOL TODAY, BYEEE!" Y/n yelled and biked her way to his onii-san's school.
When she arrived, she parked her bike by the gym door. She opened with her hands on her knees catching her breath. Everyone in the gym turned their attention to her.
"I'm sorry I'm late." Y/n apologized and bow.
"Imoto?" Sendoh said.
"Oh, onii-san. Good morning." Y/n greeted.
"IMOTO!" Almost everyone in the gym exclaimed.
Sendoh made his way to his little sister.
"What are you doing here? Come to cheer on me?" Sendoh grinned at her sister.
"No, actually I'm an assistant manager or second manager of Shohoku basketball team." Y/n grinned back at her brother. "If will you excuse me onii-san, I'll go to my team now."
Y/n made her way to the Shohoku side of the court.
"Good morning, I'm sorry for being late." Y/n apologized and bow to her team and Anzai-sensei.
Ayako slapped Y/n head with her paper fan.
"Ow, what was that for?" Y/n asked while rubbing her head.
"That's for being late." Ayako answered.
"Are you really Ryonan ace's little sister?!" Sakuragi asked loudly.
"Yeah, I thought it was clearly stated by the last name?" Y/n questioned. "Sendoh Akira and Sendoh Y/n." She said pointing to her brother and herself.
"I thought it was coincidence or your just not related." Sakuragi said.
"It's fine." Y/n assured Sakuragi. "I know your also going to ask why I didn't go the same school as him, is because I don't want to be compared to him."
"Oh okay, that makes sense." Sakuragi said.
