For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by the night sky. It has always been the night rather than the day. I have a habit of comparing stars to people; but now, I hope to instead compare the moon to a destination—the destination of life.

Life is complicated and words cannot be used to describe it too accurately. In my opinion, I am a complete hypocrite—writing as though I know what it is all about. I know as much about life as anyone else does. I know nothing. Regardless, my poetry is my way of almost finding the right words to describe life itself.

Words are beautiful and lovely and pulchritudinous and every other existing synonym. They can give you hope and take it all away in the same breath or sentence. They can rip the small amount of hope still left in you right from your grasp, only to hand it back to you immediately afterwards. Within us, words can invoke any known emotion in the entire world. All I can hope is that my words are somehow able to get under your skin.

I hope that you see these words as a means of getting to your destination.

I hope you all find your path to the moon.

To the broken souls, the realistic dreamers, the lovers of lovely words, the humans who find solace in the night sky. To the ones who reach for the stars, disregarding the doubts of those who say we can never reach them.
