《Worth The Risk》Three's A Party

When Cyn finally came out of the bathroom, she felt better. She took her seat between the couple and they carried on conversations about everything. Mostly they were all just getting to know each other. This went on so long they had forgotten about Cyn's clothes in the dryer. Emma liked Cyn and invited her to stay for dinner. Delilah was a little disappointed about the evening she secretly had planned but figured they could do it another time. It wasn't that big of a deal. Plus, a night in with two gorgeous women was not something Delilah was prepared to complain about. Cyn hesitated with her answer. She didn't want to intrude on their night. It was bad enough she came over and made a mess. She asked them both over and over if they were sure it was okay. Emma and Delilah assured her it was fine because it was. They both wanted to get to know Cyn better. She eventually got her clothes from the dryer and put them on. While she was upstairs, Delilah and Emma were in the kitchen.

"I think Cyn likes you." Delilah said as she looked through the pantry.

"Good. I like her too. You obviously have good taste." Emma was happy the day was going so smoothly. She didn't know what to think when she first saw Cyn.

Delilah chuckled. "I do okay, but I meant I think she likes you like that." Delilah said.

Emma wrinkled her brown. "Why would you say that?"

"The way she looks at you. She doesn't really look at me like that." Delilah shrugged. Their relationship was physical. That's all it was for both of them. They liked each other, that was true, but not quite like that. Perhaps, given the chance, their relationship could have grown to be something else, but it didn't and that was perfectly fine.

Emma frowned. Was Delilah jealous? "We should ask her to go." She whispered. Emma wasn't going to let Cyn, or anyone else, make Delilah uncomfortable.

Delilah smiled and kissed Emma on the forehead. "Thank you, but no. Unless, of course, you want her to leave."

"I don't." Emma said. She liked having someone else around. She loved Delilah. Outside of being her best friend, she was also her girlfriend. Who wouldn't want to be around the world's best combination as much as possible? It was just sometimes, Emma wished Delilah spoke more. Emma was easily bored and liked to talk. She was a chatty people person. It's just the way she's always been. Cyn had successfully filled that need while she was there.

Cyn walked away into the kitchen. "So what's for dinner?" She asked sitting on one of the stools at the island.

"Something green I'm guessing since I'm sorely outnumbered." Emma said. She didn't want vegetables. If Cyn wasn't there she would absolutely whine and try to convince Delilah to let her eat junk instead.

"Outnumbered by what?" Cyn asked.

"Vegans." Emma answered.

"I'm not a vegan." Cyn said plainly.

"You're not?" Delilah and Emma asked at the exact same time.

Cyn shook her head. "Did you think I was because I work at The Green House?"

"Well...yes. I guess so." Delilah now understood how silly the assumption was.

"Yay! Great! Pizza then!" Emma said. "The good kind."

Cyn laughed as Delilah rolled her eyes. "Don't worry, Delilah. I'll eat your fake cheese pizza with you."

"I won't." Emma said.

Delilah pinched her butt and Emma squealed. She wasn't expecting her to do that in front of Cyn. "Stop it." She said laughing.

Cyn smiled at the two of them. She thought they were cute together.

"I'm going to go change and I'll order the pizza too." Emma said.

"Okay." Delilah watched her walk away. She may have let her eyes linger on her ass a moment too long.

"Nice." Cyn said, giggling.

"Excuse me?" Delilah asked, but she knew she had been caught.

"I can't blame you. She's gorgeous. I get it now." Cyn said.

Delilah laughed. "I like more about her than her ass, Cyn."

"No! Obviously. That's what I mean. All around she's a good person." Cyn wasn't trying to be disrespectful. "Shit. I meant after seeing her and getting to know her I see why you love her the way you do. It's beautiful."

"Thank you, Cynthia."

"And just so we're clear, she definitely one hundred percent already knows that we used to...ya know." Cyn asked.

"She knows. I tell her everything." Delilah replied.

"Okay. Cool."

"What's cool?" Emma asked as she walked back into the kitchen. She was looking at her phone making sure the order was right. She gave it to Delilah to check.

"You." Cyn said.

Emma smiled at her her. "I know right?"

When their pizza finally got there, Cyn volunteered to get the plates while Delilah paid but she quickly realized she couldn't reach them. She was shorter than both Delilah and Emma. She looked around but didn't see a step stool so she climbed on the counter.

Emma saw her trying to get her balance. "Woah. What are you doing?" She grabbed Cyn by her sides and helped her hop down. "Are you okay?"

Cyn's cheeks burned with embarrassment. She would have fell if Emma didn't help her and now they were extremely close. Emma's hands were still on her sides. She realized and moved them immediately.

"You could have hurt yourself, Cyn." Emma said.

"I know. Sorry. I'm not usually clumsy."

"Next time just wait for me or Delilah. I know I'm not as tall as her, but I can still reach them." Emma stood on her tippy toes and grabbed a few plates. She handed them to Cyn.

"Thank you, Em." Cyn grabbed her elbow. Apparently she hit it in her rapid descent from the countertop.

Delilah walked in and noticed the pair's closeness. "What's happening in here?" She asked as she sat the pizzas down on the table.

"Cyn was having trouble reaching the plates. That's all. I think she hurt herself." Emma gently grabbed her arm and inspected her elbow. It was already red. It would probably leave a little bruise.

Delilah frowned and went over to take a look. Cyn rolled her eyes and pulled away. She was annoyed with herself. "Guys, I'm okay. I swear. I'm always hurting myself." She tried to laugh it off but her arm did hurt. She kind of liked them fussing over her.

"I'll get you an ice pack anyway, sweetie." Emma said.

She smiled. "Thank you, Emma." Okay so maybe Cyn found herself a little tiny bit infatuated with Emma. A crush, if you will. She felt like trash about it. She was literally just having sex with her girlfriend two weeks ago. Now she had the audacity to like her? Cyn wondered what was wrong with her.

Delilah looked at the mark again. "Exactly what were you doing, Cyn?"

"I uh.. climbed on the counter." Saying it out loud made it even worse. It was a stupid idea.

"Cyn, you know better." Delilah said. The disappointment in her voice was clear.

Cyn frowned and looked away from Delilah. Coming over was such a bad idea. Delilah probably thought she was stupid or something and want to reconsider their friendship. Delilah was so mature and well put together. While she couldn't even get plates without hurting herself.

"I think she feels badly enough about it, babe." Emma said softly.

Delilah sighed. Emma was probably right. "Sorry, Cyn. Let's just go eat. Okay?"

Cyn nodded. "Okay."

Emma pulled Cyn's chair out for her and they all sat down to eat. They enjoyed their food and moved to the living room to watch a movie together. Emma and Cyn took over the remote and decided what the trio was going to watch. Delilah started to dispute but figured she wouldn't get far between the two of them. As they watched the movie Emma leaned against Delilah and cuddled with her. Cyn looked over and she wanted to get as comfortable as they were.

"Emma?" Cyn said softly.

Emma turned and looked at her. Delilah did too out of curiosity. "Yes?" Emma asked.

"Can I lay on you?" She asked.

Emma looked up at Delilah. She nodded her consent. Emma smiled and held her arms out. "Yeah. Come here." Emma and Delilah both shifted so the three of them could cuddle comfortably. Emma held Cyn and stroked her hair in a comforting fashion.

They continued to watch the movie and then another one. Nobody wanted to move. Delilah looked down and noticed Cyn sucking her thumb. She chuckled softly and nudged Emma so she could see the cuteness. They looked at each other and smiled. Neither of them wanted to embarrass her so no one brought it up. They just snuggled closer and enjoyed the rest of their night in.
