《Possession》Chapter Fourteen

Lunar's POV
Soon after Jax had said he wanted to get me drunk he meant it. Jax, hopped over the counter, pushing his friend aside and slamming shit on the fucking counter with zero remorse for possibly damaging the wood. This drew attention to us, of course. Mainly from Mr. Lincoln, Mr. Hayes, and Lucy.
"Call Mathis and tell her to get her ass here," Jax demanded of them as they approached, getting a laugh from Mr. Hayes as he pulled out his phone, "Sit your ass in that chair."
I sat on the stool next to me, covering my face as I sighed, "I don't even know what any of these drinks are called, Jax."
"Shut the fuck up and let me penetrate that pretty little mouth of yours with alcohol!" He slammed a Margarita Glass in front of me, rubbing lime juice all over it before dipping the rim in salt. Once finished, he pulled out a shaker and filled it with ice and liquid before shaking it and pouring it into the glass. When he finished, he pushed it closer to me, tada-ing his hands, "Pink Lemonade Margarita!"
"You can make alcohol, but you can't drink it?" I cocked an eyebrow. He made his own, daring me to make another snarky comment.
"Fuck you, drink it!" He retorted, "I'll drink if you drink!"
I chuckled, holding up my hand with a roll of my eyes, "Alright, Alright. Bet I can hold it down better."
He slammed his hand into mine, "I'll kick your fucking ass, Kid."
We both grabbed the glasses, downing the alcohol as I laughed, "One way to get me to outdo an eating disorder."
He scrunched his face, already hating the bet before looking at me, "Heat of the moment sucks but no takebacks."
"No takebacks."
He conjured up more drinks, one being a Rainbow Cocktail. With this drink, we had to see who could chug it down the fastest, obviously his idea. I sat onto the counter as he leaned against it, "Beloved Elysium, I'm so going to die from this shit."
I chortled as he handed me the drink, lifting his own, "At least you're getting me to digest things. A win one way."
"One, two, three!" We started chugging the drinks down, trying hard to not choke from laughing as Mathis came running over.
I slammed my glass down on the counter, wiping my mouth as Jax started coughing, "What the fuck?! This is bullshit! You suck dick I eat pussy!"
"Sucking dick ain't got nothing to do with it! You've just got to focus on breathing through the nose and not breathing too fast!" I leaned against the counter, "It's not my fault your throat is weaker than my bitch count."
He scrunched his face at me, burping as a response, pulling out a lighter and lighting two small rainbow shot glasses, "Flaming Rainbow Shots."
"Why ya keep make Faggot-looking drinks?" I laughed, "Ya sending me signals?"
"Because they're good now shut the fuck up and drink!" We both blew out the flames before downing the drink. He coughed into the ground, shaking his head repeatedly as he covered his mouth with his wrist, "Goddamn."
I scrunched my face at him, confused by his reaction, "I don't get why you're acting like such a pussy. Goddamn, If I wanted to play with one I'd just bang Mathis."
He kept coughing, "How are you fine from vodka?!"

"Maybe the other ingredients tainted it," Mathis chimed in, recording everything, and not bothered by my comment. Not surprised but at the same time, I was expecting a reaction.
"Ah, fuck me," He groaned, pulling out a bottle of vodka and pouring two shot glasses with nothing but pure vodka, "Give me a few seconds here. I'd like to have some fucking chance at living."
"No balls!" I exclaimed, lifting my shot. He shook his head, grabbing his and linking arms with me as we took the shots.
"Oh, fuck that!" He laughed, coughing as he grabbed his throat. I watched with amusement, still confused about his reaction, "Alright, fuck that. No more, Jesus Christ."
"Move, I'll have some fun, You Chicken!" Mathis crawled over the counter, scoffing with a roll of her eyes. I crossed my legs together as she pulled every drink from the counter, pouring a little of each into two glasses. She was bobbing back and forth, dancing in her own little world.
"Mathis, no," Mr. Lincoln interrupted sternly at her as she handed me one of the glasses, "That is not safe."
"What part of drinking is ever safe," She retorted daringly, chugging her glass down and slamming it onto the counter with a wipe of her chin, looking at me, "Party time!"
I looked at her, bug-eyed as she whooped and clapped her hands, "Matty, Jesus Christ!"
"Lunar," Jax eyed me, glaring at my eyes observing the drink, "Don't. This is coming from me, and I own a club and am a bartender."
"I'll coin flip this one. Heads I down the fucker, tails I bail," I slid off the counter, setting the glass down. Pulling out a quarter, I tossed it into the air. Jax whacked it hard, making it roll and get lost, "Jax, what the hell?!"
We started to walk away from the counter until Lucy yelled, "IT'S HEADS!"
Jax tried to knock the glass over, but I was too quick, grabbing it and drinking it down before slamming it back onto the counter.
"You fucking idiot," Jax shook his head as I lifted my hand at him, his hands on his head as he prepared for the consequences, "You're going to puke, aren't you?"
I burped really loud, my fingers wiggling to give me my money, "I win, pay up."
"I swear to Elysium, you're too out of this world to be human," He muttered in vexation, reaching into his pocket, and handing over $200, "I don't even know why I keep agreeing onto these damn bets. I never win!"
"I'm too broke to lose a bet," I smirked at him, admitting as I smelt the cash and put it in my pocket, "I was going to turn really fast and down the fucker but then Lucy called that out and I knew for damn sure I had to beat you to it. I didn't think I'd grab it before you."
"Again, I swear you're not human," He grumbled, his arms resting on his chest as his jaw wiggled, "You've got faster reflexes than me and I'm a vampire."
"Sucks to suck, doesn't it?" I burped a second time, moonwalked, and ran into Mr. Lincoln. My cheeks roses as I looked at him, "I totally didn't forget you and Mr. Hayes were here."
"Are you alright, Lunar?" He asked, full seriousness and concern as he looked me over. His arms were held out, ready to catch me if something happened.

"I'm perfectly fine," I turned and latched onto him, "I'm kind of tired from all the excitement, though."
Picking me up, he pushed passed everyone and brought me back over to the V.I.P room. Jax attempted to follow but took a detour to the bathroom while Mathis and Lucy joined us in the V.I.P. Mr. Lincoln sat on the ground while Mr. Hayes sat on the chair behind him, making me lay my head in his lap as I watched everyone go back to dancing. I was on the verge of falling asleep when Jax came rushing into the area, wiping his mouth, and popping a few mints between his lips, "You need to hide, like, now."
Without a second thought, he yanked my arm, spraying cologne where I'd been and dragging me as I stumbled, "Wh-What? Wh-Why?"
"Pet came back for round two of partying. Do not come back down," He eyed me with a grim look, shoving me upstairs and into his office. Shoving an earpiece in my ear, he went back downstairs, "I'll try and get rid of him, but chances are he probably already knows you're here. What a waste of cologne if that's the case."
I watched him travel back downstairs, pushing through to Anthien's best friend. He was wearing a new outfit from the last and was more cleaned up. Now, he wore a tank top with a gold chain and ripped baggy jeans. He reminded me of a try-hard gangster. He waved his hand before Jax could speak, growling harshly, "I know he's here, Jax. I could feel his aura when Anthien and I were leaving. Where is he? I'm not an idiot. You can either let me take him out of here or I can take things south. Your choice."
As they were talking, I was already down the steps. It was like I was in a dream-like state yet conscious at the same time. I was bolder than usual. The lights were funny, they moved weirdly. Sometimes they even looked like people. Voices sounded goofy, it made it difficult to focus.
"I'll go outside, but Anthien better not be with," I replied, trying not to start giggling at my own voice, stepping in front of Jax and looking up, "If he's outside or waiting for your puppy ass to bring me you'll have to bring south, Parker. I'm takin' shit from nobody tonight. Capeesh?"
He looked down at me, his sandy hair flickering over his hazel grey eyes, a flash of amusement coming across his face, "Have you been drinking?"
"I'm fine," I cocked back, pointing at him, "What do you want?"
"Just would like to go for a ride," He chuckled with a raised brow, "Anthien thinks I went home, you have my word that he is passed out cold on my couch as we speak."
"We can walk," With a roll of my eyes, I started stepping towards the door. Ignoring the glare of Jax and the attempted wrist grab of Mr. Lincoln and Mr. Hayes, I took Parker outside, removing the earpiece Jax had given me earlier. I mostly wanted to walk because I didn't know if being in a moving vehicle was a smart move. Not that anything I was doing tonight was intelligent, obviously.
Parker followed without a second thought, still amused, and noticing the confidence boost I was having, "Slow down, Tiger."
"Catch up, Dog," I shot back without even thinking. I could hear the flinch from him as he shoved his hands into his pockets, "I mean, I think you're a dog. Are you a dog? What are you?"
This caused him to laugh, "I'm mixed...? A hybrid of sorts...? I'm really not sure how to describe it."
"Alright," I nodded, continuing my walking, "Now, what the fuck do you want?"
"I just want to know how you were," He hesitated, kicking a pebble, and watching it skip ahead of us, "I-I haven't seen or heard about you in a few years, I was worried."
"You mean you're finally giving a damn?" I retorted, kicking the same rock once we came up to it, "Never seemed to care when he was making me spread in your bed."
"I did care, Lunar Moon."
"Do not ever call me that. You lost the ability to call me that. You watched him "babysit" me. You allowed him to "babysit" me," Coming to an abrupt halt, I glared at him my finger in his face, "He did things to me in your bed! He tortured me and abused me in front of me and you did nothing! All you did was laugh when he'd talk about it! Don't tell me you cared when you encouraged him!"
"LET ME FUCKING TALK! I didn't have a choice, Lune. He forced the Change on me at the time, he was the only way I could feast and the only way I could even hang out with you. I had no fucking choice," He hissed, blaring his teeth at me and grabbing my throat. He quickly let go and calmed down, his motions were faster than a vampire's speed. He combed his fingers aggressively through his hair, turning from me as he started hissing under his breath, "I can't leave him because he won't finish the fucking cycle. I'm not a Complete until he lets me feast from his veins. He keeps me alive with other vampire blood, but I need his for the cycle to be complete and become a "vampire." I'm stuck as this damn hungry halfling until then, but he keeps me around to be a damn pet."
He was kind of in his own little universe, mumbling and muttering, his emotions all jumbled. I was trying to pay attention but him moving so much made my head spin.
"You have no idea how difficult it is to not tear at your throat and taste the pretty liquid in your veins. It's what he wants. Why he keeps me in this state. He wants me to kill you, finish you off for him. I'm risking everything just to fucking talk to you tonight," Turning back around, his eyes were practically flaming as he grabbed my throat and shoved me hard against the wall of a building, we were standing next to. I could see him struggle at releasing his hold on my neck, his hand loosening and tightening repeatedly as he kept glaring down at my flesh, "All the time, I can smell your stupid veins. It doesn't matter how far you are. He did this shit on purpose. He wants me to kill you so he can kill us both. Until that point, he keeps me alive. I'm not an idiot."
He proceeded back to his little planet, for a few more minutes. His grip finally completely released, his feet backing up as he covered his face, growling into his hands as his voice got soft with frustration, his hands pulling me into a tight embrace, "I'm sorry for not protecting you. I'm sorry for never stopping him. I'm sorry for being a shit friend."
"You keep moving really fast and it's giving me a headache," I scrunched my face at him after taking moments to reply, making him burst into laughter as he pulled away, "I'm being honest. You're going to kill me just from moving too much. Stand still, goddamn. Listen, Mr. Super-Human, not all of us got superpowers and can handle fast movement, calm yo man-titties!"
Leaning against the wall, he kept laughing, "I-I'm sorry, I barely notice how quick my movements have gotten since I moved pretty fast before anyway. Just--- I am sorry, Lune."
"Lunar Moon."
