《The Infection (RWBY x Abused Male Reader)》5. The First

"AHHH!" Y/n yells as the tentacles dislocate then rejoin his thumb.
He had spent a day in this unending agony and his throat was sore from screaming. He had cried so much his eyes were drying out. His lungs were almost empty.
Y/n needed to concentrate on finding a way out. He tried to close off his mind from the agony tearing at his soul. Y/n took a deep breath intensely concentrated on a singular memory. The day he had escaped the house. Y/n heard Cinder and Salem open the door and start walking towards him. He only had one chance. The effort might kill him. But then again, Salem could do the same.
Y/n centred himself and took another deep breath, he looked over at the end of the table and gave Cinder a wink. Y/n teleported away.
"HOW!"
Salem yelled and broke all of the windows in her throne room.
She looked over at Cinder with hate-filled eyes.
"The plan has been moved up. Head to Beacon and begin spreading the infection."
"At once, Master."
Y/n fell to his knee's and looked up at Goodwitchs stunned face. He had teleported into the middle of one of her classes.
"Y/n!" Yelled Ruby as everyone rose from their seats to try and get a better look.
"Ruby, go get a nurse."
Ruby just nodded at Glynda's order and used her semblance to rush to the infirmary.
"Just stay calm Y/n, help is coming."
Y/n just looked at her with sunken eyes.
"Yay..."
His head rolled to the side, he was unconscious
Cinder looked up at Beacon academy. Ozpins base of operations. She had expected it to be bigger. ;)
She made her way inside and headed to the cafeteria. She saw a boy sitting alone in the corner. She approached him.
"Excuse me, sir, Do you know where this dorm is?" She said while gesturing to the scroll in her hands.
"Of course, follow me.
Ren escorted Cinder to her new dorm, it was empty.
"Hey, where's the rest of your tea-"
Cinder punched Ren in the back of the skull, knocking him out.
"I could ask you the same question."
She dragged Ren onto one of the spare beds. Salem had enrolled her as a solo foreign exchange student, presumably with help from Roman, but Salem would never admit that.

She pushed a Grimm worm out of her palm and it landed on Ren's chest before slowly sliding into his mouth. Ren violently convulsed for a few seconds before sitting up and looking directly at Cinder.
"What do you command Master?"
Cinder was glad that the worm worked, now her plan was finally in motion.
"Lie low and act normal. If you catch anyone alone, infect them."
Ren nodded and headed out of the dorm, presumably to do his day to day activities.
Cinder started planning her next infection.
Y/n found himself surrounded by the Grimm tentacles again. He struggled against his restraints and tried his best to teleport away but he was stuck. Again. He thought he had escaped, he thought he was back at Beacon, It must of all been a dream, the tentacles slowly started cutting at his skin again. Y/n couldn't do this again. He started screaming and begging for the sweet release of death.
"Y/n, wake up!"
Y/n heard a familiar voice in the distance and saw a tunnel of light at the edge of his vision. He tried to concentrate on the tunnel but was still too concerned about the imminent danger around him. A hand reached through the tunnel. He used all his strength to lift his arm and grab hold of the outstretched hand. The hand-pulled him through the tunnel of light.
Y/n was panting and sweating profusely as he sat up in his bed. He looked around and noticed he was in the infirmary. The nurse told him that he shouldn't even be sitting up in his current condition. Y/n layed back down and looked to his side. team RWBY and most of team JNPR were sitting in chairs by his side.
"He's awake!" Said Ruby who rushed to his side while the rest of the students walked.
"Not so loud." Y/n said as he was still in an extremely fragile state.
Ruby looked ashamed as she thought her shout had harmed Y/n.
"No, it's alright Ruby, come over here."
Y/n embraced Ruby as best he could while still lying down.
The nurse looked at the monitors around Y/n and told him the details of his injuries.
"You've been out for three days. You have numerous cuts around every area of the body and half of your bones are either bruised or broken. Normally all of this would take months to heal but luckily you have a knight in shining armour."

The nurse nodded at Jaune who put his arm on Y/n's shoulder and transferred some of his aura into Y/n's body. Y/n's cut's started to slowly heal and ten minutes later the only injury Y/n had were his bruised bones.
"Are you alright?" Asked a concerned Pyrrha. To this day no one knows if she was talking to Jaune or Y/n.
"He's almost fully healed but the bones will take a few extra days to heal."
"Thank you, Jaune."
Jaune just nodded at him as he stood there sweating and panting. The procedure had taken a lot out of the student.
Y/n hopped out of his bed too quickly and kneeled over in pain as his not fully healed bones protested the movement.
"You are in no fit state for strenuous movement."
"I'm fine, I'll just walk it off."
Y/n limped while everyone else walked back to the cafeteria. Y/n hadn't eaten in three days and he was starving.
The group sat down at their table and began munching. Y/n was too focused on his food to notice a scene unfolding behind their table. Nora had to tap him on the shoulder to notice a certain rabbit Faunus having her ears pulled by Cardin Winchester.
Y/n quickly surveyed the situation and teleported behind Cardin and tapped him on the shoulder. Cardin turned around and received a face full of fist from Y/n that sent him flying across the room. Cardin swore and rushed at Y/n. Cardin was stopped in his tracks by Glynda Goodwitch who looked extremely frustrated.
"What is going on here?"
"He started it."
Said both Y/n and Cardin while pointing at each other.
Velvet finally spoke up and said Cardin had been bullying her.
Glynda left the hall with Cardin trailing behind her. On his way to detention.
"Thanks so much, Y/n"
"No proble-"
Velvet had kissed Y/n on the cheek mid-sentence and he stood there. Shellshocked.
"Well, see you later."
Velvet then walked off, leaving Y/n standing there with a lipstick stain on his cheek. Jaune gave him a pat on the back and walked off. Ruby, on the other hand, felt a new emotion. Jealousy.
Everyone left the cafeteria to either hangout or do homework. Leaving just Y/n and Yang in the empty space.
"Hey, so, I've been meaning to umm... apologise for... you know... all that stuff that I did way back when.
"Bit more specific please."
"Fine. I'm sorry for hurting you and not stepping in when mum and dad were hurting you. I realise it's wrong now but I was just a dumb teenager at the time. I'm sorry."
"That's not good enough" Mumbled Y/n
"Could you speak u-"
"THAT'S NOT FUCKING GOOD ENOUGH. All those years of neglect, abuse and lack of basic human decency and you think a half-arsed apology is good enough?"
"I said I'm sorry, what more do you want?"
"You really are an idiot huh? I want to fight you, to prove that I'm better than you.
"Uhh... Sure."
The duo walked to the fighting classroom that housed the arena.
They both squared up against each other.
"I'm ready when you ar-"
Y/n teleported behind Yang and shot her in the back, Yang turned around but Y/n had teleported again and slashed at Yang's legs. Yang stumbled a few metres but regained her balance and looked for Y/n, He kept teleporting around her, either taking potshots or trying to slice her into salami.
Yang was able to dodge most of the bullets and parry most of the slashes but she was slowly being worn down by the few strikes that made it through her defence. Y/n landed another slash on her legs and Yang fell to the floor. Y/n teleported in front of her and aimed his paladin pistol at her forehead. He stood there for a few seconds, debating if he should take the final shot. He eventually refrained and put his gun back in his holster.
Yang was relieved that she wouldn't have to go to the nurse's office and raised her arm at Y/n, expecting to be helped up. Y/n looked at her and spat in her face then walked out of the arena, smiling to himself.
He was better.

Iron and Wood - A Tale Of Empire and Clans
For centuries, the Midlands had been split into fragments. A once glorious, united Empire has become a shadow of its former self. Unity has not returned, and not for the lack of trying. The greatest of these successor states were the Li Dynasty to the south, the rulers of old, and the Emerald Empire to the North, with its vibrant vitality. Unity is the end goal, and both will sacrifice anything to attain this elusive dream. For unity would surely solve the conflict that had long plagued this once prosperous continent. The Ironwood Clan was a prime player. Some would consider them the ones holding the reigns to the horse named 'Unification'. Iron and wood were the backbones of civilization; similarly, the Ironwoods were the backbones of the Northern Empire, and by extension, the people of the Midlands. Their methods, as questionable as they might be, had strengthened the North. Yet, were they enough? In the midst of it all, a young Ironwood who had lost his path must once again find his way. For the sake of his own wellbeing; for the sake of his clan; and for the sake of the Empire and its subjects. However, is he willing to sacrifice for the good of all? Is he willing to condemn some for the sake of others? Is he willing to make the right, albeit harsh, decisions? Only the heavens would know. Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, businesses, events and incidents are the products of the author’s imagination. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental. Additionally, any views and beliefs expressed by the characters are not the author's own. The story is also not an endorsement of any actions taken within. The 'profanity' and 'sexual content' warning tags are there to be safe (and to leave room for potential future changes), but for now these two things are not inside this novel. This is my take on 'cultivation', though it might be somewhat disconnected from the general idea of the genre. Release schedule: Two chapters a week. The cover was created using wombo art. While I believe that creations using the app are in the public domain, if that is not the case, I will take it down.
