"What the hell is this!" Tai yelled at Y/n as he picked up a blood-covered tissue.
"My nose was bleeding. I had to stop the flo-"
"Don't you dare talk back to me you little shit. I told you to clean your room and look what I find."
Tai then pushes the weak and underfed Y/n to the floor.
"Christ, I don't even know why we still keep you around. You're just taking up space. As a punishment for this blatant disrespect you get no food for 2 days."
Y/n just sat there and accepted the consequence as he knew fighting back would be useless and only inflict more punishment on himself. Tai left the room and Y/n just sat on his old, small and run down bed. He sat there for a few hours switching between crying, anger, desperation, depression and hopelessness. He went to sleep hungry and with tears in his eyes.
Y/n awoke to the smell of well-cooked bacon and fluffy pancakes. He knew he wasn't allowed to eat them but that didn't stop him from imagining filling his mouth with all of the delicacies he could smell. Speaking of the smell, for some reason it was getting closer. Ruby Rose opened the door with a plate of bacon and pancakes slathered in maple syrup.
"Ruby, No" Y/n said in his croaky voice, courtesy of a lack of water. Y/n knew that if Ruby was caught she'd be punished.
"You're gonna starve"
"I'll be fine. I've dealt with way worse." Y/n says while thinking about the sleepless nights in the orphanage before Tai had adopted him only to start treating him like shit.
"I can't just let you sit up here going hungry," Ruby said in a pleading voice. She didn't agree with the way her parents and Yang treated Y/n.
"Trust me, Ruby, I'm good. Now go before someone notices your missing."
Ruby took one last look at Y/n before leaving the room. She gave him a look of pity and sadness. A look Y/n was used to seeing.
A few hours later Y/n heard Raven call his name so he walked downstairs to find her standing in the bathroom gesturing at the toilet.

"Took you long enough. Clean this. Now"
Y/n was the go-to guy when people needed menial tasks done around the house. It wasn't like he had a choice or anything.
Raven left the room and Y/n began scrubbing the toilet until he could see his reflection. Considering how underfed he was and the lack of hygiene products available, It wasn't a very pretty reflection.
After Y/n finished his task he walked back to his sparsely decorated room and tried to take a nap. An hour into his haunted sleep, Y/n awoke to the sound of yelling.
"Y/N!, GET THE FUCK DOWN HERE."
Y/n quickly rushed down the stairs, wondering what he had done to wrong to draw the wrath of Raven. He hurried into the bathroom to find Raven furious and red-faced.
"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?"
Raven gestured at the recently cleaned toilet. Well, it was recently cleaned until someone decided to take a massive dump and leave it in the toilet. Raven flushed the toilet then looked at Y/n.
"Did you do this?"
"No of course no-"
"DON'T FUCKING LIE TO ME."
Raven grabbed Y/n and put his head right over the toilet bowl.
"I'll give you one more chance. Did. You. Do. This."
"No."
"LIAR."
Raven plunged Y/n's head into the toilet. He struggled against Raven as he felt the need to breathe. He started seeing a dark tunnel in his vision and was seconds away from drowning when Raven pulled him out of the water. He drew as much air into his lungs as possible. He was trying to breathe and spit out toilet water at the same time which resulted in him making a weird choking sound. As he slowly regained his breath he noticed that Raven had left and saw Yang at the door, laughing hysterically.
"You did this."
"Yup. But you can't prove anything."
Yang walked up to Y/n and kicked him in the guts making Y/n bend over in pain. Yang then walked away snickering to herself. Y/n just layed there for a few minutes, crying in pain.
He eventually managed to stand up and stumble into his room. He coughed up blood and crawled into his bed. Y/n thought for a few minutes about his life right now. He looked at the positives. Ruby. He looked at the negatives. Literally everything else. Y/n decided to run away and never look back. Maybe he could find work as a farmhand? Well, wherever he went it would be better than this place. Y/n only owned the clothes on his back so he didn't have to pack any bags.

Y/n opened his window and looked back into his room. He thought about Ruby for a second. How would she feel when he left? He looked at his room again and remembered all the beatings and torture he had endured. Getting out of here was more important than Ruby's feelings.
He jumped out of the window and landed badly on the grass around the house. His knee started to bleed and he hobbled into the surrounding forest trying to get away from the house as quick as possible. After an hour of walking with his knee bleeding profusely, Y/n found a small pond that he could sleep by. It was calm and well hidden. Nobody would find him here. No human at least.
Y/n quickly collapsed from exhaustion and fell asleep to the sounds of crickets and rustling branches.
A few hours later Y/n awoke to the sound of growling. He looked around and spotted a Beowulf growling at him while slowly approaching. Y/n was terrified and looked for a way out or a weapon he could use. All he saw was a high branch in a nearby tree. Maybe he could climb to it? No. The Grimm was to close. Y/n was getting desperate as the beast came closer and he could feel his heart pumping in his ears. Y/n took one last longing look at the tree branch before the Grimm jumped at him. Y/n closed his eyes, preparing himself for the end, His life flashed before his eyes, He saw all the pain and abuse he had experienced as a dark tunnel. But at the end of that tunnel was a light. He strained his eyes to see the light but all he saw was a glimpse of a red cape.
The Grimms paw was flying through the air and Y/n finally stopped thinking and just embraced his inevitable demise.
A few seconds later Y/n opened his eyes, surprised he hadn't been killed. He realised he was standing on the tree branch from earlier. Completely out of reach of the Grimm. He wondered how he got up here.
"OH SHIT, IT'S MY SEMBLANCE."
Y/n yelled into the night realising he had finally unlocked his power.
"Teleportation. Cool"
He realised the shout had alerted the Grimm to his position as it looked up at him and growled.
Y/n stuck his tongue out and laid down on the branch and went to sleep again, knowing he was safe.
Y/n woke up well into the day and noticed that the Grimm was gone. Hooray!
Just before he was about to try teleporting to the ground he heard voices coming from below. Y/n looked down to see a well-dressed redhead and a girl with pink hair. They were carrying large bags with dollar signs on them. I guess movies were accurate. The redhead pushed a button hidden in a rock and a door emerged from the lake. Y/n was curious and tried to get a better look but accidentally stepped on a large pile of dry leaves that made a very loud crunch sound. The criminal pair both looked at him as Y/n had a look of shock on his face.
"Well, Well, Neo it appears we caught a spy. Why don't you come down her boy, I'm not in the mood to fight you."
Y/n Hesitated for a second before teleporting down to the pair.
"Woah, Nice semblance kid. Useful Semblance too... What's your name?"
"Y/n," he said in his still parched throat.
"Great name, I'm Roman and this is Neo."
Roman said gesturing at the girl next to him. Roman then noticed how weak and underfed Y/n looked. He saw an opportunity.
"You look hungry my friend, How bout' you come inside and enjoy a nice filling lunch."
Roman walked through the door and beckoned Y/n inside. Y/n hesitantly walked followed.
Roman put his arm over Y/n's shoulder.
"You know what buddy, I think we're gonna be good friends."
Roman's mind was racing at the possibilities of using Y/n semblance for crime.
This would be a very profitable relationship.

The Order of Sekhmet
Meet Rowan who may or may not be really enthusiastic about telling you how his life is with the goddess of war. It is naturally far from being peaceful, but the blade-wielding, fourth-wall-breaking protagonist certainly wouldn't have it any other way. Egyptian deities? Check. Sword fights? Check. Demonic arts? Check. Burning passion? Check. After all, blood is a good moisturizer. Please note that I have flagged my content. There is and will be content that may trigger you, particularly if you've been through toxic relationships. While I do my best not to paint these moments in the best light, they exist and are crucial parts of my story. Things are kicked up a notch beginning with chapters named 'The Old World'. Everything before is (nearly) vanilla. Update schedule is every Thursday/Friday, varying times!

Wulfgard: The Hunt Never Ends
In the civilized world of humans, 'monsters' have all but passed into legend. But when something goes bump in the night, when people begin to disappear, when a dark mystery begins to haunt even the most peaceful villages, there is only one organization to turn to: the Hunters. The Venatori. Having lived a life of discipline and service, former soldier Caiden Voros finds something even worse than the wars of humans: the monsters that hunt them. Horrors yet unknown even to him and his many scars await in the claws, talons, fangs, and mysterious powers of creatures so far beyond humans that he must dedicate himself entirely to the art of slaying them. Harboring a secret of his own and in a constant struggle to find answers while maintaining his sanity, however, Caiden begins to ask the age-old question... Who is truly worse, the monsters or the Men? Wulfgard: The Hunt Never Ends is an episodic collection of stories, each of which stand on its own, but they also build upon each other in a consecutive order, bridging a gap between a novel and short story collection. These stories follow monster hunter Caiden Voros and his partner Gwen Vergil as they embark on tales of mystery, horror, and adventure to track down monsters - the living dead, beast-men, shape-shifters, spirits, and many more - that would do harm to innocent lives and, by whatever means necessary, put a stop to their terrors. Their motives, however, are not always what they seem.
