"Y/n wake up, we have to get this story out today" Jed spoke as he tapped your shoulder

You were still tired from last night's events, Ghostface had kept you up for way too long last night but at least you woke up tucked into bed

Although he did leave a picture of you sleeping on your nightstand

"I'm sorry I'm going to go get some coffee I'll be back," you said as you got up and left the office

Everyone in the gazette was gloomy today

Ghostface had killed someone again and it was your jealous co-worker Cassie

You were currently writing a report with Jed about, you thought about last night and when Danny had visited you did he just come back from killing Cassie, or was it before he visited you?

So many questions filled your head as you filled up your cup with coffee was what he had said to you true As to why he didn't kill you?

Another thing you thought about was why you couldn't tell anyone you knew he would find out if you did but even if he didn't you still didn't think you would tell anyone about him visiting you

"Y/n?" someone's voice followed by a stinging on your hand interrupted your thoughts

"OW FUCK" you yelled the hot coffee you were pouring filled to the top and fell onto your hand

"Shit y/n let me get you ice for your hand" a soft voice spoke

You turned around to see who it was

"oh hi henry I never see you here anymore," you said to the man who was now handing you ice, Henry was your boss daniels brother you two were close and had all the same interests in things

"No problem, and yea I just came to check in on Daniel and see how he's doing after hearing about Cassie," he said while he looked at you

"Hey have you been sleeping you look a little out of it," he said as he walked up to you and held your face

"You also have eye bags, you don't go to sleep late is something wrong?" Henry was like a brother to you but you will admit before you had met him you had a crush on him even if he worried a little too much he cared and you liked that about him

"Y/n?" Jed spoke as he looked at you and Henry

Henry then let go of your face and checked his watch

"Oh hey Jed," you said as you held the ice packet Henry had given you to the back of your palm

"What happened, who is this?" he asked looking at your hand and then at Henry

"I just burned my hand on accident, oh and this is Henry," you said

"Henry this is Jed, my partner," you said

"Wait like as in romantic partner my Y/n has a boyfriend?" he said looking at you and turning his head to the side

"WHAT NO LIKE MY PARTNER ON THE GHOSTFACE ARTICLES," you said embarrassed that he said that right in front of Jed

Jed laughed and held out a hand for Henry to shake "it's nice to meet you Henry I'm Jed"

Henry smiled and shook Jed's hand

"It's nice to meet you, Jed I'm Henry," he said and smiled back at Jed

"You're going to bore me to death with your introductions," you said and looked away from them

"Oh what sad I'm taking time away from you talking to your boyfriend?" Henry said as he gave your a smirk

"for the last time, me and Jed are not dating," you said as you gave Henry a dirty look

"Whatever anyways I have to go now Daniel's waiting on me, see you guys around?" Henry spoke

"Whatever loser bye," you said as you everted your eyes away from him

He laughed and walked away

"You two seem close" Jed spoke

"Yea, we are," you said and threw away the ice packet

"Hey, Y/n I was thinking since we didn't go on that dinner date you asked for how about we go tomorrow?" Jed asked

"Oh, so you identify it as a date now huh?" You teased

"Only because it was you who asked me" he teased back

"That sounds lovely Jed"

"Great, I'll pick you up at 9"
