《DevilDice: the special show》Part 1 = stressed dice

Dice was sitting in his changing room, tapping at his desk. He wasn't even paying paying attention to his reflection that was trying to cheer him up. He was taking a break at the moment and would have to go back to the show at any moment.
All of a sudden a burst of flames appeared in the corner or the room. With no surprise at all, Henchman was there floating just a few inches off of the ground with his tiny wings flapping viciously.
"uhhhh....hey king dice. The boss wants to talk with you."
"What?! But the shows about to restart I can't leave now!"
"I'm sorry king dice but the devil insists, he's in a bad mood."
King dice face palms and strokes his hand down his face with a frustrated groan. He stands up with a grudge and stands next to Henchman.
Within what seemed like seconds he was standing in front of the devils throne. Devil was trying to act all mysterious and had his chair turned away from Dice.
"What's up Boss?"
""
Dice turned his head in confusion and his moustache curled upwards.
"W-What're ya talkin' about Boss?"
Devil turned his chair around to face dice and and had his hand scratching his own temple.
""
Dice's moustache became crooked and his bowtie twirled around in surprise. Dice started sweating and fidgeting with his hands.
"O-Oh sir! That will be almost impossible- I mean I wouldn't have time to change the shows tactics on the spot!"
Devil face palmed himself and growled with frustration.
""
Devils entire body became engulfed in flames which only caused Dice to sweat more and caused him to cower under the devil who was now towering over him.
"Of course Boss! I'll have a new show tactic for you by this Monday!"

Devil immediately calmed down and the flames surrounding him faded away.
"Nice chattin' with you Bo-"
Without letting dice finish his sentence, Devil sent him back up to the over world where his show was just about to resume from the break.
With a sigh dice quickly adjusted his moustache and moved his head around because it turned at a angle when Devil teleported him. With one last adjustment of his suit and wiping his forehead with a handkerchief it was finally time for him to go back on stage and pick someone from the audience for the games and questions. With a swift movement he plastered a smug grin across his face and slid onto the stage with a microphone in hand.
"Hello ladies and gentlemen! Who is our next lucky contestant?!"
The whole crowd begins to cheer and chant followed by a few people trying to convince their friends to put their hand up. King Dice then spots his next volunteer, a young boy that went by the name of bowl boy!
(Y'all where expecting cup head weren't you 😂)
"You! You're the next contestant!"
The crowd cheered again as bowl boys face lit up and he skipped over to the stage and stood next to King Dice. King Dice was forcing a huge smile because he just wanted to take a break.
"Alright young man it's time for you to name this tune!"
A song starts playing and bowl boy starts rubbing his head while he thinks.
"Ive got it! Spoon on a chair by Doby Mick!"
"That. Is . CORRECT!!"
The crowd starts cheering and clapping again as King Dice tries to calm them down he thinks up a trivia question.
"Ok, boy, here is your trivia question!....
Where can you find Cala Maria?"

It took bowl boy a while but he eventually answered.
"The Inkwell isle lll!"
"COOOOORRECT!"
Again, the crowd began to cheer but this time they where chanting "roll the dice".
A pair or curtains moved aside to show two giant dices on a rod. With no hesitation bowl boy ran up to the dices and spun them with all of his strength. The audience began cheering again, waiting for the results.
**
The crowd begins to cheer extremely loudly, almost shaking the building.
"I guess that means you get to go to the mystery prize room!"
The crowd cheers for bowl boy as he walks into the room, waving to everyone and even blowing kisses as he goes inside. King Dice just wants to end the show and becomes impatient, so he slams the door on bowl boy as he's still blowing kisses to the crowd.
"Ok folks, that's the end of the show today, time for you to all GET OUT!"
King Dice's little card minions push everyone out as they notice how tired and impatient Dice is getting. Before everyone's even out King Dice had already headed back to his changing room. King Dice flops down on his chair, finally getting to relax makes the bags under his eyes really start showing. He's half asleep on his desk when he suddenly remembers the devils words, ''. Today was Saturday and King Dice had to work in the casino tomorrow, he had to have a new show tactic by Monday, but what?

Luck Lockyer
Luck Lockyer was the type of man to smirk in the dark, the expression not for anyone but himself. One of perpetual amusement. The bright side of things were hard to find in the shade yet his amber eyes were always searching. The smirk was his default, he knew it, his friends knew it, his family knew it. It was his most natural state. But the death of everyone close to you can affect a downwards curve on the mouths of even the most stoic people. Without purpose, without anyone to do the job for, Luck Lockyer found himself inside an empty forgotten church. The perpetual smirk on his face had slipped to a thin line, his scar more noticeable now than ever before. His amber eyes, the windows to his soul, dull and lifeless. To anyone who knew him, it was the clothing that gave away his mental state, denim pants and a plain black t-shirt. If that wasn't enough, the tears running down his face certainly would, the echoing sobs of a broken man rang across the rundown church. It was on a whim, but Luck Lockyer prayed, he prayed for many things, for death, revenge, friends, but the one prayer dominating his thoughts, a second chance for his family. That was all he wanted. Simple. It was then, on the outskirts of a polluted city, in an abondoned lot, in a forgotten church that Luck Lockyer, the Devil of the Cards, the Bloodless Hand, the Amber Demon, the Broken, was answered by a being from another world and one from his. *found the picture online

Thorns of Jade [A Progression Fantasy LitRPG Adventure]
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Solo Leveling meets Chainsaw Man in this fun new LitRPG Series To become the king of Kissen, Noah Hearts trains to become the strongest swordsman in the world. The only problem — he can’t use Aura at all! Everything changes when he’s left for dead in a forest on the Kissen Fields… In a world where horrific creatures known as “demons” terrorize mankind, those who wield the mysterious force known as “aura” are the only ones who can fight them. These fighters call themselves the “Wolves of Haven”, and strive to create a world where demons no longer roam their lands! Though Noah Hearts is an exceptional swordfighter for a young man, his total inability to use aura means he could never hope to defeat the demons! Despite this major setback, he still hopes to become the king of Kissen and create a better world for those in his country! As he walks home from his daily training, his world is shifted upside down when he sees a few familiar faces in his home… This is the first draft of what I want to be a 9 volume series. I'll be editing, rewriting, and releasing the volumes on Amazon once they're finished. I'll admit, I'm finishing chapters in sprints because I want to participate in the writathon (Apr. 2022) so I apologize if there are some issues with the prose. Point them out to me and I'll fix them! Anyway, I have no backlog, but I plan on uploading chapters as I finish them. I don't want to spend weeks re-editing and never publishing like I used to, so I'm just gonna post when it's done. Like I said, this story is my take on a mix between solo leveling and chainsaw man. Specifically, the MC is the only one that can consciously level up (sort of), and the plot is fast paced and emotional just like chainsaw man. There are plenty of other inspirations, like HxH, Jojo, JJK, Cradle, and even FF6, but the first two are the biggest. Basically, if you don't like Shounen stuff, this probably isn't the story for you. Regardless, I hope you all like the story!
