《5SOS SICKFICS》Luke - "dad, i dont feel good."

Luke wasn't feeling too well in the morning. "Goodbye love!" He heard his mom say before leaving the house. She was going to Darwin for the weekend. Luckily dad was home. Ben and Jack as well. Luke slowly got up. He felt warm, but cold at the same time. Dizzy, exhausted and his stomach was hurting. He slowly managed to get downstairs by the help of the walls to lean on. He went to the kitchen and saw his dad cooking. "Dad, I don't feel good." Luke said slowly. Andrew looked at him. "You look a bit pale. Sit down Luke." He said. Luke did as told and sat on one of the bar chairs.
Andrew finished cooking and went to Luke. He laid a hand on his forehead, then felt his cheeks, arms and lower back. "You're also a little warm. Ben and Jack was planning on going to the beach with you today, but you need to stay home buddy. Let's get you back to bed yeah?" Luke nodded. "D-dad?" "Yes?"
"Can you carry me?" Luke said shyly, feeling bad for asking. Andrew giggled "of course son, come here." He said and grabbed Luke by the armpits. He pulled him up from the chair. Andrew had one arm around Luke's chest and one arm under his bum to hold him in place. Luke rested his head on his dad's shoulder. Luke felt his dad's breath in his neck. Somehow it calmed him. Andrew stopped in the hallway. "Do you wanna sleep in mom's and my bedroom or your own?"
"Yours."
Andrew nodded and carried Luke to the biggest bedroom. They had the biggest bed as well because it was a double. He laid the boy on his mom's side of the bed. He rubbed his son's cheek and smiled softly before going to the door. "Nigh night Lukey, I love you."
"I love you too dad."
Andrew smiled before leaving the bedroom and go back to the kitchen.
Ben woke up to Luke crying. He was slightly annoyed by it. Luke new Ben had had troubles falling asleep last night and all he wanted was sleep. He didn't felt like doing much himself so he texted his dad, hoping that he would deal with it.

Luke is crying... please do something?
It didn't took long for Andrew to respond.
To: Ben
From: Dad
I'm sorry. I will check up on him. He's a little sick. Did he woke you?
To: Dad
From: Ben
Yeah, he did. Hope he feel better soon :)
To: Ben
From: Dad
Me too. Get some more sleep, I will deal with this.
The result ended just as Ben wanted except one thing... Luke was sick.. Ben hated seeing his brothers in pain. As eldest he had a protective heart and soul. Ben once got expelled from school because he beat a student who was bullying Jack. That says a lot about what kind of brother Ben is.
Ben had told his dad to deal with so he figured out that their dad got it. He didn't had to worry so he went back to sleep again, thinking that maybe he would go see Luke later.
Andrew went to the bedroom where Luke was laying crying with his arms around his stomach. Andrew pulled a chair over next to the bed and sat on it. He grabbed his son's sweaty hand gently. "Lukey.." he sighed. "You got it pretty bad huh?"
Luke nodded and cried. Andrew stood up and sat on the edge of the bed and ran his fingers through Luke's soft, blond hair. He grabbed his phone and texted Jack.
To: Jack
From: Dad
Are you awake?
To: Dad
From: Jack
Now I am :(
To: Jack
From: Dad
Sorry. Can you come to the master bedroom? Bring thermometer, sick bucket and wet cloth.
To: Dad
From: Jack
Are you sick?
To: Jack
From: Dad
No. But your younger brother is.
To: Dad
From: Jack
Alright. I'm on my way.
Jack was there within 3 minutes. He gave his dad the supplies and sat next to his crying brother. "Hey bub. I'm here. I'm right he." He said and pulled Luke into a hug. Luke sobbed hard into him. "Come on. Lay down again Lukey." He said and made Luke lay down. Andrew came over with the thermometer. "Open up Luke." Luke opened his mouth slightly. Andrew slide the thermometer under his tongue and waiting for it to beep.

Andrew took it out and looked at it. "103.8" Andrew said. Jack knew it was bad. Andrew grabbed the wet cloth and put it on Luke's forehead.
Jack laid down next to Luke and rubbed his stomach in soft circles. Luke cried out when Jack massaged a hurting spot and he heaved over the bucket. He gagged once before it all just went up. He threw up violently and cried harder for every second. Jack played with his hair and whispered comforting things in his ear.
Luke finally stopped throwing up and laid back with Jack. Andrew went to clean the bucket and cane back shortly after. "I'm going to call your mom." He said and Jack nodded to him still holding his little brother close to comfort him.
Andrew went out of the room and found Liz' phone number in his contacts. It ringed a couple of times before she picked up.
hey love, what's up?
hi, where are you currently?
in Hornsby, I'm just getting lunch, why?
I really need you to come home
why?
Luke is sick, he's on 103.8
holy sh-! Oh my lord! I'm coming home! Have he passed out?
no, but he won't stop crying
Andrew, you need to take him to the hospital!
okay okay, I'll meet you there!
yes. Bye!
bye lo-
Andrew didn't even got to finish his sentence before she hung up. Andrew ran to the master bedroom. "Jack! Back a bag for you, Luke, Ben, mom and me!" He yelled. Jack nodded and got up. Luke bawled so hard he was almost screaming. Andrew ran to Ben's room. "Ben! Wake up!"
"What's happening!"
"We need to get Luke to the hospital!"
That sentence made Ben jump up from the bed and get ready. Luke screamed. Ben ran to him. "Buddy? Bub? I'm here! Shhh..." he tried to comfort Luke. All of them knew how much pain Luke was in. No one thought otherwise.
"I'm ready!" Jack yelled and came into the room with 5 backpacks. "Great! Let's go!" Andrew said and lifted Luke up in bridal style and carried his crying son outside to the car. He sat him in the back and sat on the drivers seat. Ben sat in the passenger seat. Jack sat in the back with Luke.
Andrew drove over a bump on the road which made Luke shut his eyes and scream out in pain. Andrew himself had started crying at this point.
When they parked out side the hospital Andrew realized how much Luke was being hurt by moving. "Ben! Run to the reception and ask for them to come get him onto a stretcher!" Ben nodded and ran.
It felt like forever until Ben came back with 2 paramedics. They opened the door to the back revealing the young boy who was pale and sweaty and exhausted. And even fighting unconsciousness. "Hey buddy. We're going to help you." One if the paramedics said and lifted him out from the car. Luke whimpered as he laid him on the stretcher. The second paramedic held a oxygen mask over his head and they wheeled the poor boy inside.
Ben, Jack and Andrew took a seat in the waiting area. Liz came shortly after. She hugged them all and asked how things were going. "We don't know." Ben said. She sat down with them and held Jack to her chest. He broke down. He just realized what actually happened. "Shhh Jack baby. You did everything you could. You were so brave Jacky. I'm so proud of you sweetie." She spoke as Jack cried into her. "I'm scared mom." He whimpered. "I know baby. We all are."
5 hours later they still hadn't heard anything. Ben was staring at a wall. Jack had cried himself to sleep. Liz and Andrew held each other's hands. They where both scared. "Luke Hemmings?" A doctor spoke. Liz and Andrew nodded and woke Jack up. The whole family stood up and walked to the doctor.
"We managed to get his temperature down. He is sleeping at the moment but he is alright. You can see him if you want." They all nodded and followed him to the room. All the nurses and doctors left to give them space. Somehow the family managed to fit all 5 of them in the hospital bed. And you see, that's what I call love.
