《5SOS SICKFICS》Calum - stomach flu

"Calum?" Luke asked and shook Calums shoulder. Calum groaned knowing that it was the middle of the night and his stomach was hurting.
"Calum I'm scared." Luke whimpered and his voice cracked. In some way Calum just wanted to say; "talk to Ashton." But at the same time he didn't wanted to let his younger bandmate down. Calum opened his eyes and saw his little blue eyed bandmate with tears down his slightly red cheeks.
"Come here Lukey." Calum managed to say and put on a fake smile. He patted the bunk and Luke crawled in and laid down next to him. Calum dried Lukes tears and pulled the blanket over them both. Luke snuggled into Calums overheated skin, but he didn't noticed because he was pretty warm himself.
When Ashton also know as daddy5sos, woke up in the morning spotting Lukes empty bunk, he immediately went worried. He climbed out of his own bunk, spotting Luke sleeping peacefully in Calums bunk. Daddy5sos Smiled knowing his youngest bandmate was okay. His worried immediately started again when he saw Calums pale and sweaty figure laying next to the blonde. Ashton didn't thought Calum was able to get pale. Seems like he was wrong.
Ashton shook Luke awake.
"Lukey, I think you should let Calum rest a bit on his own okay? He doesn't seem to be feeling too good."
Luke looked at Calum. Ashton was right. Calum didn't looked too good. Luke teared up and faced Ashton again.
"Lukey, what's wrong?" Ashton asked worriedly.
"Calum is sick, what if he's not going to be okay? What if he's going to the hospital? What if he's gonna die?!" Luke cried. He was very good at overreacting.
"Luke shhh... he will be okay, but you gotta leave him for a bit so we won't wake him up. Alright? Come here."

Luke sobbed but went out of the bunk. Calum had luckily not woken up but this peaceful sleep wouldn't last for long.
It only took 35 minutes before Ashton heard gagging from the bathroom. Ashton ran out there to see Calum who obviously had managed to get himself out there, sitting in front of the toilet gagging.
Ashton quickly sat next to him and slid Calums t-shirt of his body to cool him down. As soon as Calum had his shirt of, he gagged hardly and vomited in the toilet. Ashton pulled his fringe back and rubbed his back comfortably. Ashton took the thermometer from the medical box. He held Calums head still with his left hand knowing that Calum would try to pull away while he put the thermometer in his ear. Calum whimpered and tried to pull away. Ashton held his head steady until the thermometer beeped and he pulled away. Calum immediately hovered over the toilet bringing up the next round of vomit.
"You're ok 100.3." Ashton told Calum as he was done throwing up. "Come on. Let's get you back to bed." He picked Calum up from the floor and carried him to his bunk. He placed a bucket next to the bunk and left to get some pain killers and stomach relaxers.
He quickly gave them to Calum who went back to sleep shortly after.
The next couple of days, Ashton were busy. He comforted Luke who was crying and worried for his best friend, but he also cleaned up when Calum threw up on the floor and comforted him when he was sick. That was just his job as daddy5sos.

The Girl from the Mountain
Alexandra Bedford is a weapon, a young woman with telekinetic powers capable of leveling entire cities, born to fight in the desolate remains of post-apocalyptic North America. There is only one problem: she may be losing control of her abilities. Sixteen years after a global pandemic devastated the earth’s population, the lines in the old United States have been drawn between the Cheyenne Directorate in Colorado and the New England Alliance on the East Coast. The Directorate, of which Alexandra is a part, is a small but powerful organization dedicated to returning the country to its former glory. However, when a diplomatic mission to the New England Alliance goes wrong, Alexandra finds herself at the center of a bloody civil war. Battles are fought on the old highways and in dilapidated towns and once-great cities. And as the conflict escalates, all of North America faces the threat of being burnt away by nuclear fire. Against this backdrop of war, Alexandra tries to uncover the long-hidden secrets behind the plague, her abilities, and the two men fighting to decide the fate of the United States - Henry Bedford, Alexandra's father and leader of the Directorate, and John Martin, the mysterious figure at the heart of the New England Alliance who may hold the key to everything she seeks. None of this will matter, however, unless Alexandra can prevent the power growing inside her from taking over and consuming the very world she is fighting to save. Author's Notes: I appreciate you taking a look at my novel, The Girl from the Mountain. If you're a fan of post-apocalyptic fiction, military thrillers, and/or cosmic horror, I think you'll enjoy this story. I completed the novel's first draft back in 2011 and made significant changes in 2016. Since then, I've more-or-less sat on the manuscript while working on other projects. Thanks to a bit of prodding, I've decided to send this story out into the wild with some touch-ups and additional revisions. I welcome any comments or criticisms, and I hope you enjoy The Girl from the Mountain!

Grim Beginnings
For most, ghosts and monsters were fantasy. For Tessa Byrne-Reyes, they were a constant in her daily life as a reaper. The legendary gods and creatures of mythology were, to her, historical figures. From a young age, she carried the weight of the world on her shoulders, possessing what she saw as a curse but what her family considered a gift. It was her birthright, to use her abilities to guide the deceased to the afterlife of an eternity in peace or in torment. Her classmates viewed her as "the fainting girl" who would pass out in the middle of a lesson with inexplicable injuries. She experienced each death in the town of Belmont Falls, from the mundane to the gruesome. A gunshot wound in the gut, broken ribs, her heart ceasing to beat for several minutes. No one understood what caused these incidents but over the years, she gained a reputation for being abnormal. While Tessa is the freak of Belmont Falls, Fin Belmont, the charming rebel and son of the richest man in town, is her polar opposite. Knowing each other for years but never saying more than a dozen words between them, one night changes everything, thrusting them into each other's unfamiliar and daunting worlds. Together, with the help of her best friend/his ex-girlfriend Elena, they begin to unravel secrets about their town and their pasts, learning that some secrets are better left buried and grudges can be held for centuries.
