The air outside your dorm was dewy and thick from the night's rain, wafting into your room gently as you peered out of the open window. You inhaled, smelling the fresh rain; it reminded you of freshly-cut grass.
The sky was still stormy and grey, dark clouds shadowing over the sun.
You didn't mind too much though.
The dorm was a mess as you packed up and changed into a fresh uniform, trying to rub the sleepiness out of your eyes as you stretched.
"Coffee..." You muttered; maybe that'll help. Your voice was raspy, which annoyed you.
The commons area was loud as usual as you stumbled in, greeting the class members with a tiny smile. They were your family; you'd grown so accustomed to seeing them all the time. You couldn't imagine living with any other group.
The kitchen was dirty from Denki's horrible attempt at cooking. Egg shells and flour were strewn and sprinkled across the granite counters, making you scowl. You put the coffee-machine on, deciding you wanted to make two cups; one for your girlfriend and you.
As the beaker slowly filled up, the bitter aroma of coffee beans began to surround and comfort you. You couldn't help but as to breathe deeply and take in the familiar smell as you decided to clean the kitchen, grimacing at Denki's shenanigans as you cleaned.
Abruptly, someone's hair had tickled your cheek. Your nose scrunched up as you tilted your head, feeling arms snake around your waist.
"Need some help cleaning?" She hummed in your ear, swaying. Her eyes were closed and she seemed tired. You shook your head with an empathetic smile; you didn't want her to waste energy!
"No, it's okay." You replied, continuing to wipe the table. She nodded, backing away and going to the kitchen stools. As you threw the egg shells away, you finally got a chance to glance over at Momo.

Only then did you notice her haircut.
Her hair was to her shoulders and the bangs were more subdued now. She noticed your shocked glare and looked down, running her hands through her hair nervously. The haircut seemed very newly done; almost as if she decided to chop it on a whim.
You clapped excitedly, rushing over to her and running your fingers through the hair. She furrowed her eyebrows for a moment before speaking.
"Do you like it?" She said quietly. You nodded immediately, smiling.
"It looks so good!" You cheered, kissing her forehead. She blushed, waving you away with an exhale.
The coffee-machine chimed, signifying that it was ready. You went back to the counter, pouring out the warm liquid into two mugs. The cups were steaming, smoke rising gently from the surface of the coffee as you set it down for the two of you.
"Good... I decided to do it last night." She explained as I set down the cups. She looked down, her mouth forming an 'O' as she picked up the mug, kissing my cheek as thanks.
"Why did you do it though?"
"I wanted to try something new!"
You simply nodded, grinning as she sipped the coffee while closing her eyes.
Cute.

Tales of Demons and Dragons - An Original Xianxia GameLit
One or more chapters per day Directly Inspired by Tales of Demons and Gods, with an Italian (European) spin and magic on top of cultivation. Mix of light comedy and very dark parts. Darker chapters are marked with a disclaimer. Synopsis: Jacob reincarnates in his 15 years old body. It's just a few minutes before the Change that brought Demonic Beasts swarming all over Earth. In a matter of hours, all the big Capital Cities are razed to the ground. Dragons invaded Rome; Hydras assaulted Venice. Even nastier monsters lurk in the dark. Sadly, his talent is abysmal, and virtually everyone is stronger than him. And he knows that Demonic Beasts are not his only concern, for humans can be far more malevolent at times. St. Peter, Jacob's small mountain hometown in Abruzzo, houses only a few hundred. And since bigger monsters appear in more populated cities, they are relatively safe, or so he thought. But, he soon realizes that even if he went back in time, not everything is the same. And one thing is for sure: he is not the same. His soulmate is now in front of him once again, but things are different. Maybe too different. Follow Jacob in his struggles to protect everyone, change his talent, acquire strength, confront lost loves, and maybe meet new ones. This reincarnation story shows that people who can go back to their past may not be as successful as they thought. I will write no harem in this story. The protagonist may be involved with more than one girl, but not every female will fall at his feet. Swearing will be censored whenever possible since some people do not like explicit forms. However, the censoring will be minimal, like "Fuc**ng." [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
