Jacques right leg impatiently bounced up and down as he waited at the gate for his best friend. He was slouched in his usual position hand in his braids and the under tucked beneath his elbow one leg or the other bouncing away the nerves that ran through his system. He couldn't believe in the matter of the three days his world was turned upside down. His parents damn near disowned and wouldn't hear him out to save their lives. He lost his brother and sister because and quote his father said You won't taint these two like you did that girl. And now here he is on the other side of the country at the airport waiting for his best friend. But that's what's eating him alive the most is the fact that he failed Zephyr. Or at least that's what he thought he did. He promised her the world and right now the only thing he could possibly give her is a spot on the couch he now found himself sleeping on.
" Flight 109A from Houston, Tx had landed safely. " The loud automated voice from the intercom caught his attention. That's her flight.
Leaving his seat he quickly made his way over to the receiving gates anxious to see her face. People continued to come through the tunnel and still yet he hasn't seen her unruly mane of curls. Palms sweaty and mind running he began to get anxious. This is the right flight isn't it ?
Pulling his phone out his pocket he went through the digital log and double checked the information provided on the ecard. Everything seemed to check out he was positive that this was her flight.
" You're definitely the most impatient person I know. "
He knew that angelic voice from anywhere. It was the slightly raspy voice that he loved to hear in the mornings and before he went to bed. It was the voice that kept him grounded and secure in himself and his craft. The voice that brought him a peace of mind and rest on restless nights. The voice that praised him for rights and corrected him for his wrongs.

It all happened too fast with in a nanosecond Jacques securely wrapped his arms around the small girl with the lions mane that was tied in its usual bun. His face buried deep in her neck breathing in her usual masculine yet feminine vanilla and teakwood scent. His body instantly calmed at the simple action. He was home.
" Baby Jacques, it's okay I'm here. "
Fuck I didn't even know I was crying. Jacques raised from her neck and wiped his tears with the back of his hand before attacking Zephyr with another hug. This time a raspy laugh left his throat as he rocked them back and forth, Zephyr released a fit of giggles.
" Thank you so much babygirl. "
" We made a promise. Til the wings fall off."
" Yeah til the wings fall off. "

" Um... I know it's not much but it will have to do for now. I mean at least it's really comfortable ... " Jacques continued to ramble on about the couch he had been sleeping on for the past few days. He scratched the back of his head in nervousness as he looked at Zephyr for a reaction. Watching her carefully put her bags down and sit on the couch she began to rub the cushions in a back and forth motion.
" It's perfect Jacques. " Jacques head must've flew up faster than Usain. He couldn't help the confused expression that found home on his face.
" So you don't mind sleeping on the couch ? "
" Nope. "
" Are you sure ? Cause I mean I have a couple bucks on me I can't get us a room or som- ... " Jacques stopped mid sentence as he felt himself being tugged down. He found himself laying on top of Zephyr his lower half between her legs. Zephyr wrapped her arms around his neck bringing him closer to her she reached up and pecked his cheek and then his nose.

" You talk too much Webster. I flew all the way here in the drop of a dime I don't have a problem with sleeping on the couch as long as it's with you. "
Jacques heart touched the roof and beyond as he listened to her speak. He didn't know what he did to deserve a best friend like Zephyr, a love like Zephyr but he'll do it again if this what it meant to be with her. Without hesitation Jacques's lips met with hers. It was much more than a kiss to him Jacques wanted Zephyr to feel his love and admiration in that kiss.
Out of breath and lips swollen they pulled away from each their eyes locked instantly. Nothing was better than this moment it couldn't get better than this moment. But it would and it did.
Come rushing in was Jacques good friend, a producer who he was staying with for the time being. Ignoring Jacques laid up with Zephyr on his couch he didn't skip a beat with what he had to say.
" Man Jacques you may wanna pick up the phone. "

Life wasn't hard anymore, at least not in the United States of Europe. Summer break is about to start and, finally, Zoe will turn 18 and be able to play the game, Binding Fate. A simple video game, a vrmmo, but what swam under its surface wasn't simple. Power, fame and money were but the tip of the iceberg... State: Hiatus because I've an idea for another story. Quick F.A.Q. : - Yuri/female homosexual relation? Yes.- Yaoi/male homosexual relation? Maybe.- Explicit Sexual Content? Maybe.- Full Fledged Tragedy? No. Never, ever ever.- Body Modification/Body Horror? Yes. (Note: what one person think is body horror can be acceptable for someone else. If you want to see to what length I can go, read a bit of The Other Labyrinth. However, I won't go as high as quickly in the body mod/horror, so relax.- Gore? Hell yeah! I love gore! spraying blood and viscera etc...- Torture? Hurgh... maybe? Idk. Not at the start at the very least.- Memory loss/erasing? No, or at least not permanently. I basically hate this trope because it's like taking out all the character grow from a character, destroying everything that makes them what and who they are. so no.- Overpowered protagonist? You will see mufufu...- Will characters stay relevant seeing how numerous they are? YES, MOTHERFUCKING YES, I hate when characters relevance decay over time for no good reasons ^^'- Plot Armor? First of all, a definition: "Sometimes referred to as "Script Immunity" or a "Character Shield", Plot Armor is when a main character's life and health are safeguarded by the fact that he's the one person who can't be removed from the story. Therefore, whenever Bob is in a situation where he could be killed (or at the least very seriously injured), he comes out unharmed with no logical, in-universe explanation." No, because I always have an in-universe explanation, even if you don't know it yet ^^ Something is illogical or don't make sense? Read more, the answer is surely in the story ^u^- Balanced system? If you want to crush numbers and have a perfect equation balancing all the system, that's not the story for you. The system is more like a living being, and the rewards aren't forcibly tied to the level of the player. In fact, the system is purposely unbalanced ^^' Author's note: My goal here is to write a slow-paced story revolving around the bonds linking the characters, be them family, friends or lovers. Fight will be part of it, but I intend to build an actual interesting world before making truly large-scale battle happen, because the bigger a battle is, the larger its causes and effects are. I also aim at telling a story about how the characters actually help each other becoming stronger, more stable and happier. I particularly despise the lone MC type that becomes so powerful that every other character of the current setting become irrelevant beside being hostage targets, so this will not happen. I also like crafting, arrays, blacksmithing etc... so there may be crafting. Another thing I like is management game like sim-city or the like, so this while also appears, keeping in mind that I like MC's that make people around them stronger... Every child of Ilcor must go through four trials to be accepted into society. The first trial at the age of 7 is retrieving a dragon egg from the dragon's haven.Second trial at the age of 12 is to swim to the bottom of a lake and outsmart or outriddle a magic clam. Once consumed, its pearl will grant you unique powers and you become a mage. Third trial at the age of 16 is going to a steaming hot wasteland and made to fight beasts and each other with weapons you find on the field.
