AndyDecember 31st, 2019
I was at a loss for words. Which completely defeated the point of coming here. "H-Hi." I stuttered. His hair was gelled and curly, his tux was fit to him so perfectly, I just wanted to run into his arms. But, that wasn't what I was here to do. He closed the glass doors behind him, some people whispering and pointing.
He stood right next to me, his arm brushed against mine. "You're.. You look absolutely stunning, Andy. I didn't know you'd be here, I--"
"My friend gave me her ticket, um.." I didn't know how to start, I talked about this moment so many times with my therapist and suddenly it's all gone. My brain was mush.
"I've missed you.."
Then it all came back. "You lied." My voice became harsh, he was taken aback and stunned. "You said never when I told you to not forget about me. You lied to the whole world, didn't speak to me for a while after we got back. You were back to your famous, rich celebrity life and you left me behind!" I raised my voice, feeling the anger burst out of my chest, tears rolling down my face. "I wanted you.. forever. You were the only good thing on that island and you lied about! Lied about me! Lied about us! And for what?" He was too stunned to speak, "HUH?"
"Andy.." He started. "I--"
"I really thought I meant something to you, you made me feel like I meant something to you.. Everything you said while we were on that island, I thought it was real. Maybe it was just a pause on your life for you, but it wasn't for me. It was real. It was real for me."

"I--"
Someone opened the doors, a woman wearing a tight, short black dress. She was beautiful. "I've been looking for you, Tom. They're waiting for you to make the spee-- oh. Hello, who are you?"
"I'm Andy." I said with a huff, an awful feeling in the pit of my stomach growing bigger by the second. "Who are you?"
"Angelica. I'm Tom's date this evening." She smiled sweetly, she seemed nice actually. "Wait, Andy.. You're the girl! Oh, how sweet of you to come Tom's banquet. I'm glad you two were friends on that island, must have been awful!"
It grew even bigger, tears fell out of my eyes. I looked over to Tom, he was speechless and embarrassed. "Well, it was lonely at times. Considering Tom kept to himself most of the time." I lied, wiping away the tears quickly and smiling at her.
"That's a gorgeous dress, darling. Love the color!" She exclaimed with a kind smile.
"Yeah. Yeah. I like it too. Reminded me of the jungle on the island, walking to the lagoon everyday and taking walks to find food. Alone, though, of course. All by myself." I said as I looked at Tom with dead eyes. "I'm leaving actually, I have somewhere else to be. It was nice meeting you, Angelica. Your dress is very pretty too. Bye." I said without giving Tom another look, she waved to me as I walked inside and right up the staircase.
People were filming on their phones and whispering, pointing, I felt humiliated. God, I should really call my therapist. "Andy!" Tom's voice called after me, he was standing at the bottom of the staircase, I turned as I held the skirt of my dress up. I waited, hoping and praying he would say the right words but.. nothing. I thought so.
I told him. "You abandoned me. Goodbye." Then ran away.

From the lowly stone age he moved reached levels of technology thought only imaginary and magic which made worlds quake. Things aren’t perfect though. Monsters and beasts fill the world, growing stronger by the day, a malignant force is ever present… And strange, bountiful ruins of all sorts remain scattered throughout the world, abandoned yet maintained by faithful servants. The Hunt
Cecily's blade swung, hitting its mark as always. The man's arm fell to the cold grass of the prison with a familiar thud. He let out a blood curdling scream. A warning to the rest. Stay away, the Hunter is here. That's the name they'd given her, the Hunter. After she cut off the man who tried to rape hers masculinity, they stayed away. She'd made it clear anyone who tried to touch her would be hunted and slaughtered. Cecily kneeled down, pushing the man's face into the dirt so she could use his back as a seat while she trifled through his belongings. "You're hurting my ears," she told him, no remorse in her voice. "Quiet down before I really do kill you."The man but his lip, well aware that she wasn't lying. Sobs shook him, making for an uncomfortable seat. She, however, didn't particularly feel the beed to kill him. It happened, not often, but it did. "Oh, hush up," she hissed, taking out a bag of rations with her metal hand, "it doesn't hurt that bad."With her good, human hand, she dropped the plastic bag of food into her own bag. She pushed up, off the man back. As she was about to walk away, bag slung over her shoulder, brushing against her autumn colored braid, she turned back to him. "Consider yourself lucky," she said, no hatred in her voice, there never was. "Consider yourself lucky that you didn't do anything stupid. And even luckier if one of the scum bagged criminals in here feel a little light in their hearts and help you. Consider yourself luckier if you die there."With that, her old black and white Nike sneakers carried her off into the brush of the huge prison.
