Canada silently watched his brother quickly get up and escaped the meeting room.
It made him so upset that the other nations always picked on him.
Canada did all he could, but no one ever heard him.
What Alfred needed was someone strong to protect him, but also kind and gentle enough to comfort him, but someone who won't make him feel babied, he needed...
Matthew's eyes widened. He had the perfect idea.
He grabbed his phone and speed dialed the other members of the AWSOME trio.
"Mattias? Gilbert? I have a plan..."
(The Next Day)
Alfred frowned at his brother's statement.
"Blind dating? Are you sure?"
"Yes, I promise you won't regret this." Matthew persisted.
Alfred sighed, handing Matthew a sandwich.
"Mattie, I love you, but, I just don't think I'm boyfriend material."
Matthew turned to his brother almost angrily. "Alfred, don't you dare start believing what the other nations say to you. They're just jealous that you're so successful so young."
Alfred sighed again. "I just don't know..."
Matthew shook his head. "Well, I'm already paying for the reservation and we can go shopping for something to wear if you like."
Alfred gave his older twin a soft smile. "You really don't have to do this, Mattie."
"Of course I do. We're brothers. You got me and Gilbert together anyway, think of it as a thank you."
"I love you, Mattie." He said gratefully.
Matthew smiled. "I love you, too."
(That Night...)
Alfred tugged nervously on his navy blue suit Matthew helped him pick out.
He wore a baby blue collared shirt under his suit and the look was finished with a deep red tie.
In short, Alfred looked .
Alfred looked anxiously at his brother. "Mattie, do you even think they'll like me?"

Matthew gave his brother a once over. "What's not to like?"
"No, I mean... do you think they'll like me?"
Matthew sighed sadly. "Alfred, you're the sweetest guy I know. They'll love you. I promise."
Alfred just gulped nervously, checking in for his reservation.
(A Few Minutes Later...)
Alfred twiddled his thumbs nervously, going over every possible horrible scenario in his head, so that he wouldn't be disappointed.
His head was down, he stared at his sun kissed hands.
He heard a chuckle. "Ah, this is why Canada called me."
Alfred looked up, staring at the tall man's enchanting regal violet eyes.
The man had platinum blonde hair and very pale skin. He wore a scarf over charcoal suit with a tie that perfectly matched his eyes. Wait... he knew this man.
"I-ivan?" Alfred blushed darkly, how did Matthew know about his crush?
Ivan smiled sweetly, his pale skin unable to conceal his blush. "Da. Privet, Alfred."
"W-when Mattie said this was a blind date, I wasn't expecting someone so... perfect."
Both blushed profusely, Alfred slapped a hand over his mouth.
"Uh... sit down..." Alfred gestured to the chair across from him, still blushing.
Ivan sat, handing Alfred a bouquet of bright sunflowers and brilliant red roses. "I got this for you..." Ivan said quietly.
Alfred blushed all over again. "It's so pretty! Thank you!"
Ivan chuckled, leaning over and pecking Alfred's cheek. "Anything for you, Vanya."
Alfred's face was red.
The waitress came over, a knowing smirk on her face. "What can I get you two lovebirds to drink?"
"L-LOVE?!" Alfred sputtered.
"I- THIS IS JUST A FIRST DATE!" Ivan yelled, his face burning.
The waitress snickered, her light green eyes sparkling with amusement. "I'm sure. What can I get you two?"

Ivan didn't even look at the menu. "I'll have a vodka."
"Can I have a soda water, please?"
She nodded, walking back off to the kitchen.
"So, are you a dog or cat person?" Ivan began.
(With Gil and Mattias)
The albino smirked, picking up his beer. "Cheers to mein AWSOME boyfriend for this AWSOME plan!"
Mattias picked up his gammel dansk (it's a type of Danish liquor). "Cheers to Alfred and his new boyfriend!"
Their glasses clinked.
Gilbert's phone started ringing, he picked it up.
The contact was simply Birdie
The Prussian picked it up. "Hallo, leibe!"
"Hi, Gil!" Matthew responded. "How's Alfred doing?"
Gilbert groaned. "They haven't even kissed yet." He complained.
Matthew giggled. "Alfred doesn't like it when relationships move to fast. Give him time."
Gilbert nodded. "Sounds like a plan. When I get home, I'm expecting thank you pancakes!"
"Absolutely! I'm already starting on them!" Gilbert paled. Their apartment would be overflowing with pancakes by the time he got home. "Salut, amor!"
"Bye, leibe!" He hung up.
Mattias snickered. "What's with the expression?"
"Matthew and his pancakes..."
(An Hour Later...)
Ivan watched Alfred look excitedly at the dessert menu, his eyes were literally sparkling looking at all the choices.
He looked adorable.
"What would you like for dessert, Vanya?"
"Oh..." Alfred frowned, setting the menu back down. "I shouldn't get anything... the other nations think I'm fat any way..." He sighed sadly.
Ivan wasn't about to let that stand. "Alfred. Look at me." Ivan said seriously.
The younger nation looked straight into his beautiful violet eyes.
"Never listen to those nations. NEVER. They want you to feel insecure, so they can snatch your power, will you let them?"
Determination glittered in his blue eyes. "Never! I'm the HERO!" He said victoriously, making Ivan giggle.
"The cutest hero I know." Ivan said quietly, making Alfred blush.
"Hey... um... Ivan?"
"Da?"
"I really like how tonight's going, maybe we could... do this again sometime?"
Ivan's smile grew. "Absolutely!"
(A Few Months Later...)
Ivan crept up behind Alfred, hugging him tightly from behind.
Alfred giggled. "Vanya, I'm trying to make dinner!"
Ivan kissed his cheek, smiling at the smaller man's blush. "Nyet, it is cuddle time."
Ivan picked him up bridal style, kissing his soft lips. Alfred smiled in happiness as the two slowly made their way to the couch.
Ivan held the American protectively in his lap, Alfred snuggled into Ivan's chest.
"Vanya... I love you..." He mumbled, falling asleep in Ivan's warm embrace."
Ivan beamed. "I love you too, my Sunflower."
They both had a peaceful nap... until the fire alarm went off because of the burning food on the stove.
