《Ancient God (Ancient Love Poetry)》Chapter 17: Return (Part 2)

Sen Yu was also too lazy to care about them. He casually waved his wave and turned around to leave.
“Wait.” The three of them had already reached the Gate of Life and Death. Hou Chi suddenly pulled on Qing Mu’s hand and turned her head, resting her chin on Qing Mu’s shoulder. She twisted her soft body, becoming a fried dough twist. [1]
With a crisp childish voice of indisputable majesty, Sen Yu stopped turned around, and his questioning gaze fell on Hou Chi.
“Sen Yu, if you didn’t use Qing Li’s demon pellet for your injury that year, would you have healed?”
Sen Yu froze and nodded hesitantly. Although he was seriously injured in the beginning and fell into a coma, if a demon had any hope of surviving, they wouldn’t die easily, not to mention that he was a part of the Demon Emperor’s family. Even if he didn’t use Qing Li’s demon pellet, he just needed more time to recuperate.
“If you didn’t know that Qing Li would only live for a thousand years, would you have canceled your marriage with Chang Qin?”
Sen Yu shook his head. He chose this at the beginning only so that he could be with Chang Qin without guilt in a thousand years. For demons, a thousand years wasn’t long. If it weren’t for this immortal deity’s life-renewing pill, Qing Li probably wouldn’t have many years to live.
“Thank you for the pill. Qing Li can live now.” Although he did not like the teethed and clawed little immortal, he had to thank her anyway for the sake of the pill.
Hou Chi turned her head and pulled Qing Mu’s sleeves to beckon him to leave under Sen Yu’s stunned eyes. The three walked out of the Gate of Life and Death and suddenly disappeared.
“Sen Yu, Feng Ran owes your family a life, so I will repay you this favor. Even if your little fox does not eat my father’s pill, she does not look like she will have a short life. Let alone hundreds of years, it seems like surviving for a thousand years isn’t a problem at all.”

A slightly vague voice came from the sky. After hearing these words, Sen Yu turned his head quickly, his eyes shocked and complicated.
Although that little immortal lord was domineering, the pride in her bones was probably even greater than his. She would never bother to tell such a lie.
Qing Li, who had her head lowered the entire time, also raised her head after hearing what Hou Chi said. She was stunned, and her face paled when she saw Sen Yu’s shocked expression. Who exactly was this immortal child that knew the secret that she had kept for a thousand years and that the Demon Emperor didn’t even know?
Without even saying anything, Qing Li’s pale face proved that what Hou Chi said was true. Sen Yu looked at her with flame-like anger flowing in his red eyes. He closed his eyes, breathed out some time later, and slowly opened them. Sen Yu pushed away Qing Li’s hurriedly extended hand, his expression cold.
He really was blind. These thousand years, he had completely hurt Chang Qin because of her, causing rifts between the two major clans of the Demon Realm.
Sen Yu was born as the Second Highness of the Demon Realm and had commanded the demon deities for ten thousand years, and his scheming methods weren’t bad. If it weren’t for Qing Li’s harmless appearance, and giving up her demon pellet for him, he would not have been deceived this much.
“Demon Lord Qing Li, Sen Yu has eyes but no pearls [2]. These years I have neglected you. In the future, if you enter the Third Heaven again, I will definitely welcome you.” The cold words were slowly spat out. Sen Yu turned around and walked towards Chongzi Palace, his figure extremely resolute.
Even his father couldn’t see through the disguise. He was afraid that even calling her a demon lord was too negligent. Sen Yu laughed at himself inside, pulling a wry smile from the corner of his mouth, and never turned around.
Qing Li looked at the figure walking away, her pale and soft face gradually disappearing, and a dark light flashed in her green eyes. No matter what her purpose was, she saved Sen Yu and accompanied him for a thousand years, which was why he would let go of her so easily. If the Demon Emperor knew that she had planned this matter from beginning to end, with his methods, perhaps she really wouldn’t be able to walk out of the Third Heaven. Thinking of this, Qing Li looked at the place where Sen Yu had disappeared complicatedly, moved a bit, then disappeared out of the Gate of Life and Death.

In the sky of the Demon Realm, Qing Mu sat on the cloud Feng Ran created, holding Hou Chi, with an expression of total peace.
Feng Ran despised these two people who only ate and did not work [3]. She glanced left and right, and finally said to Hou Chi after she couldn’t hold it in anymore, “Hou Chi, how did you know that Qing Li wasn’t dying soon?”
Even she didn’t see that there was anything wrong with the little fox. How did little Hou Chi see through her with such little immortal power?
“You didn’t see through it? The little fox and Chang Qin both have nine-tailed fox original forms, but her bloodline is just a little lighter.” Hou Chi tilted her head, smiling, straightening Qing Mu’s robe that had been blown in front of him as she said to Feng Ran.
“She’s also a nine-tailed fox? I didn’t notice that.” Feng Ran was shocked, then opened her mouth and rubbed her nose. Seeing that Qing Mu had not moved, she asked respectfully, “Qing Mu, did you see through it as well?”
Since Qing Mu entered the Demon Realm, Qing Mu gave off more unspeakable pressure and power than when they were on Liaowang Mountain, especially when his eyes flashed with golden light occasionally…
Qing Mu nodded, held Hou Chi, who was twisting in his arms, tight, and said lightly, “Qing Li is a descendant of the nine-tailed foxes. It’s just that her bloodline is very light, and someone has put a protection spell on her, so you guys couldn’t tell.” He looked at Hou Chi as he said this, his expression suddenly gentle and filled with approval, “I didn’t think that you would’ve noticed.”
“Of course.” Hou Chi raised the corners of her mouth, and her tiny and sharp tiger-like tiger showed. It was very cute.
Feng Ran twitched the corners of her mouth. The two of them were really a perfect match. Looking at Hou Chi’s small and delicate face, she suddenly said, “Hou Chi, you didn’t have this appearance before, right? What exactly happened? Did you eat a Pill of Transformation?”
“I don’t know either.” Hou Chi groaned slightly, rubbed her chubby chin, and looked at Qing Mu, “Perhaps we’ll understand when we find Bo Xuan.”
“Yes, let’s go to Liaowang Mountain.”
Seeing that the barrier of the First Heaven was getting closer, Qing Mu put Hou Chi on the cloud and stood up, his arms empty. It felt a little strange, but after crossing the Demon Realm barrier, Hou Chi would revert back to her original appearance, so she couldn’t sit on his lap the entire time. Hou Chi had a natural expression as she sat on the cloud with crossed legs. She stretched her arms and yawned twice, unable to open her eyes.
They flew through the forest at an extremely fast speed and stopped at the edge of the Demon Realm barrier. Feng Ran directed the cloud to rush forward. The Demon Emperor knew that they came anyway, so there was nothing to worry about. Of course, leaving would be as convenient as coming.

Quick Synopsis:This is the story of Reylor, a god-like existence who lost a great portion of his strength when accidentally sent from his “home” to another world. Making friends and learning to harness to power of magic, he maintains his commitment to his prior duty and proceeds to fight against corruption, both on a political front and against what is known as the shade.(Note, this story focuses on action and adventure, so politics are not in depth) This has been my first novel, which was primarilly inteded as a learning experience, and so it may be a bit rough in regards, but it should definitely be readable and it is a full story. I may make some adjustments to it later on, but there's no guarantee... anyhow, it's free to read, so give it a go! Also, feel free to check out my new website: aretornovels.wordpress.com

8 265A Traveler's Tale
Heroes. Villains. Magic. It's a story we've heard told time and again, each a near copy of the last. You know the story, but what if it was told from an entirely new perspective? What if it didn't follow the hero? What if, and bear with me here: I told it instead? My name is Daniel, and I'm just a simple merchant with quite the story to share...
