《More Than Meets the Eye (A Ninjago Fanfic)》Chapter 15: Is This the End?

We all made it out alive...well, all but Shimmer.
I miss her...we all do, but Lloyd misses her the most. I don't know what I'd do if my Nya did what Shimmer did. I'd probably be a mess for weeks...poor guy...I feel really bad for him.
I'm not sure what Lloyd feels, but it is obvious to any spectator that he is hurting. I don't quite understand, but I am empathetic of his situation and what he is feeling nonetheless.
Lloyd's been in a rotten mood ever since Shimmer sacrificed herself that day. I feel bad for the squirt, but seriously he's the GREEN NINJA! He could get a chick anywhere, anytime...right? Right...?
Aw who am I kidding? Shimmer was one in a million. There was and is no one like her. She was special. I kinda miss her...
Lloyd's a total mess. Just the other day I was walking past the bedroom we all share. The door was closed so I didn't pay any attention to it. I leisurely walked into the kitchen and cut myself a massive chunk of chocolate cake from the glorious chocolatey creation, courtesy of Zane, that was temptingly placed on the counter.
"Mmm! Triple Chocolate Fudge!" I hummed to myself happily as I made my way back the way I'd come.
As I passed by the closed bedroom door once more, I heard sobbing. And not just any sobbing. We're talking a deep, lonely, heart-wrenching sob.
Poor kid. I hope he can come to terms with the situation soon.
I miss Shimmer. She was a great friend to me. I miss our little, girl talks. Now I have no one to talk too like that. I've shed some tears when I reminisced. I've also tried to talk through things with Lloyd and he's grateful for it, but nothing seems to help. I wish she were here.

I was correct. The sunrise broke through that day only to be subdued once more by clouds. Her rays reached the world one last time before being shrouded, again, in darkness. The days are dreary without her bubbly presence.
My nephew is heartbroken and heartsick. He loved her dearly, though he tried to hide it and push the feeling down. Now that she's gone Lloyd is a wreck. The others miss her, too, but Lloyd misses her the most. We all are mourning her disappearance from our lives. But everything will be alright...I think.
I miss her! I miss her so much! She was my best friend. She got me, understood me. I was in love with her and now she's gone.
I'll never be able to forget the look on her face, much less the look in her eyes. She was scared, any fool could see that. Her eyes held a look of regret, like she wanted to stay with us, but couldn't.
"Why couldn't I save her?" I whispered as a sob escaped my mouth into the silence of the bedroom where I currently resided, locked in, courtesy of myself. The hot tears rolled down my cheeks, a tangible sign of my sadness, depression, regret, guilt. I hated myself for not being strong enough to save her.
Without her here, Morro is running rampant. It turns out that he found a way to take over Ninjago without Shimmer, though she is to only one who can stop him. He is too powerful for me to dispose of. Pathetic...even the Green Ninja can't stop him. I'm not sure Ninjago will ever be free without her. Morro is a cruel dictator...if Shimmer were here she could stop him.
I broke down in sobs once more as my thoughts continued to wander, while I watched the old video from Shimmer's birthday on Cole's camera.
Shimmer may be gone, but she will forever live on in our hearts...especially mine...the heart she captured. She came to us as a small girl, unassuming and seemingly harmless, but she was much more than that. She was...IS more than meets the eye...
